lol I want to see Nomura's KH depiction of Pocahontas so fucking bad that'd be so crazy

I'm personally not really feeling a Missing Link 2024 release unless it's a mid-TGS shadowdrop, which, in and of itself, isn't that unlikely. At this point, "IT'S OUT NOW!" is a lot more appealing than "it'll be out in a month or two" as far as hype and discussion goes. ML is starting to become infamous for how long it's taking to show itself, so it might be better to just kill that reputation in one fell swoop.

Otherwise, it's not really such a great title to release during the lead up to the holidays. ik they're targeting mostly whales, but it'd be weird to launch at a time where the average consumer is probably saving money.

I think there could any interesting scenario for Sora’s final game where he revisits a lot of the worlds from his past adventures. Even if it’s a world terminus type of situation near the end of the game where he only briefly visits them, but still gets to reconnect with the characters one last time.

Yeah that’s what the world terminus is. Lol. Also like the Lich sequence in KH3.

But more fleshed out than both of those and it wouldn’t be for the main worlds featured in that game. And you’d actually team up with the old Disney party members and have a couple cutscenes with them.

It’s obviously a lot of asset resources, but I imagine a lot of these worlds or similar ones will be recreated in Unreal anyways by that point between Missing Link and the console titles. And they’d only be small playable sections.

For Agrabah at least, isn’t it the second most used Disney world behind Olympus Coliseum? While that world probably wouldn’t work for KH4, I could see it returning either in KH5 or KH6. Especially since there is still a third film to work with.

i don't think that would be a problem since the cast is all anthros. its the designated human that has to change forms if Sora is not available.

Good question! I think it's unlikely that they'd be allowed to do a world that's a 1:1 based on the movie. But, Disney has used imagery from the film and the character of Pocahontas herself on a few things. So, maybe it's possible that she could be involved in some capacity but I'm sure they'd mostly want to avoid it.

I don’t see the movie itself ever making it in, but we could see her if they ever adapt Ralph Breaks the Internet.

- I hope this new saga isn't a trilogy of numbered titles. Considering how much years it takes to make AAA games nowadays, two numbered titles would be the better choice. Even without taking Nomura imminent retirement into account.

- I always disliked the idea that a series has to end, only because someone important retired or passed away. Fortunately that never happens when there's money on the table. Is Tai Yasue the right man to take the mantle after Nomura retires? Now that's another question. I'm not sure. He likes Kingdom Hearts but he never impressed me. Birth by Sleep was amazing, but KH3D and KH3 base game not really.

- Im glad Nomura brought new writers and he's using KH4 as a soft reset. KH3 had too many baggage and without a solid team behind it was easy for the game to fail meeting fans expectations as the saga finale. Some of the dialogues were really bad too.

I genuinely think the dialogue is a localization problem. UX/DR had a different localization team and all the dialogue in that was well-worded and fantastic overall.

I was playing PSVR2 last night and decided to load up KH3 in the personalised theatre mode and played from the boss in Monstropolis to meeting Olaf in Arendelle. That shit was great, twitter complainers need to shut up and let the Osaka team work their magic again
