This should've been posted sooner, but here's a good sum up of what Square's business model is:
Half of a percent. The entirety of their single player console game business. 16, Rebirth, KH on Steam which got to #3 on sales charts, and everything else they released collectively didn't even make up a full 1% of their profits.
Mobile meanwhile made uo 31%. We look at all if the titles they've discontinued and think it must be a failing business but it's literally 62xmore profitable than their AAA or AA games. Mobile is doing EXACTLY what's its suppose to: get in, milk the whales, get out. "End of Service" is part of the plan.
If you were in the president's chair, where you be directing the cuts? Not at mobile, that's for sure.
