obviously because roxas exists it has to come after chain of memories, but at the end of chain of memories aren't some of the org. members dead? but in 358/2 roxas meets them all. so when exactly does the game start?

Just after Sora's heart was released from his body in Hollow Bastion.

Roxas was born before Sora reached Castle Oblivion, you know...

It is between the moment where Sora lost his heart in Hollow Bastion to the beginning to KH2.

Anyway, yes it does happen just after he looses his heart. Which also explains why Twilight Town felt familiar in COM.
