This is something I never understood. Is it in the heart, the body or outside of both? Like, MX, when posseing Terra, he is still in his old body after he puts his heart in Terra, mometns before he fades away. But as soon as he does, it seems like his consciousness moved from his old body and into Terra's? Also Sora and Ansem retained their consciousness despite their hearts falling into darkness.
And then you got Xemnas and Roxas, it cant be that they have their orginal persona's conscousness because they coexist with them. So they got a new one despite not having hearts. Where does it come from? Is it from their souls? But how can Ansem have a conciousness then without a soul since he is a Heartless? Terra, in the Novel, mentions something about being conscious despite not having his heart or something along those lines. Like he was expelled as a person from his own heart. Is there an explantion for this that im missing?
