I would hope the side story and kh3 would come out fairly soon but not too soon because then they wouldn't have worked as hard on it because they would have less time.

I read on a ff site, i think it was ffrebirth.com, that 3 wouldnt come out until after ffXIII (13). so probly not until at least 2010

The next one won't be 3; Nomura has stated this MULTIPLE times calling it "a new series". But if you're reffering to KH3 that happens after KH2, we don't know anything about that...yet.

I really do hope that there will be another game at some point in the future with Sora. I'd be interested in a side-story, true, but I really like Sora as a main character.

There has been no word on a third game, only a side story. The Tokyo Game Show is this week, and details regarding the next game will be released.

Worry no more. Nomura has confirmed that Sora's story is not over, so there will be a game with him in the future.
