Very impressive and congratulations.

After doing a comparison, I'd say that UMASS Amherst looks better simply because they have a divisional College of Engineering, which is the main hub that runs the engineering programs. It doesn't seem Lowell offers the same when it comes to engineering opportunities. Also some reviews preferred Amherst over Lowell, but it is encouraged to at least shadow all of the colleges.

Lowell might be more recognized for their engineering, but they both offer doctrines (BA/MS) for both computer and electrical engineering.

Amherst seems to be more recognized as the preferred college however.

Oh hey I go to BU. Amherst is overall better than Lowell, and the people I know that go there love it.

This shouldn't probably influence your decision, but if you were into singing it, Amherst might have been the school for you!
