Ice cream doesnt just mean Ice Cream literally xD
If you look deeper, the Ice Cream means the symbol of their friendship, Roxas and Xion didnt just go to the clocktower to just eat ice cream and enjoy the taste, its like....it represents their bond and friendship towards eachother, imo.
But the thing is eating it means meeting up with Axel and Xion and pulling a friendship routine between them.Spoiler Showhis vacation, he went for ice cream not because of the ice cream itself - he said eating it alone wasn't all that much fun.
What she said.
It only bothered me because I was like "Uh...what about Axel? :|" But yeah, supposedly that had something to do with translation errors.
You forget he was upset with Axel at the time because he didn't tell Roxas what he wanted to know. He didn't care about him at that point in time.

Excluding Axel wouldn't have made sense anyway, Axel's refusal to tell him only had him leave in the first place to get answers, and with Xion's last wish he went back to free her heart and make things the way they were. And yet the following day when he faces off against Riku, he wants to be reunited with Axel every last bit as he does with Xion.
Anger doesn't last forever, which is why I said Roxas didn't care about Axel 'At that point in time' ..
I'm speaking of the English one, not the original, so I'll go by the english one.
Well I'm sticking by my own thoughts, because if someone doesn't look up the japanese version of anything, it must be shot down.
Lol. I think I'm the only person ever to think the "ice cream" line was utterly sad. I actually like the English version slightly better too. *is shot and mauled* Although I do like the inclusion of Axel in the original version, the English set up works better for me. A desperate question to the girl dying in his arms fits the situation better than the somewhat random suggestion that the three of them go eat ice cream together. Both versions are sad, and, yeah, the original probably trumps the translation canon-wise, but I still like the English one better.
