In the games of Kingdom Hearts you usually start out with a stick sword..or those blue things or w/e. Anyways they can't hurt the heartless or nobodyies. So my question is, if the keyblade can only hurt heartless, why can donald, goofy, cloud, leon, yuffie and so on kill the heartless also?

no people can attack them.....it just the keyblade is much stronger than a normal weapon thus that why the heartless ate the keyblade and will keep goin after sora as long as he weilds the keyblade
you cankill the heartless with any weapon but the key blade(s) are the only weapon that releases the heart inside that is why the heartless fear the key blade(s)

because they were not strong enough and every one ells had real weapons any way. and when ever they could not hurt the enemys they get the key blade right after that to but that is what i think?
If I remember correctly, Roxas couldn't defeat the Nobodies with the struggle weapon. Heartless could get smashed, but they'd just reform since their hearts aren't released. That's why it's up to Sora to defeat them all. And maybe since Donald and Goofy are with him the bonds of their friendship let them release hearts too.
Acually, sora could kill them with the wooden sword. it just wasn't as strong as the keyblade and doesn't release hearts. And with the struggle thing, since the world was a phoney, they probably stopped Roxas from fighting with the thing.

what we need is to have someone play the game and let donald and goofy do all the fighting, because i dont know if i see hearts come out when they kill one, but if that is so, then the keyblade wouldnt be needed for that.

OKAY OKAY, i just did it, and donald and goofy's weapons released hearts, without ANY help from the keyblade, so now that brings up my why use ONLY sora thing, when any weapon releases hearts?

You don't use just Sora to fight and release the hearts of the Heartless. The Keyblade is needed to lock the keyholes of the worlds. It's an added bonus that it can defeat the Heartless so well.
ya, i think thats right, but why can other people from different worlds fight them?
Well...Maybe Square didn't think about that, when they made the game...
