Spoilers ► Why couldn't Xehanort use a Disney world to time travel?

So the Real Organization XIII has Xehanort time traveling to have different versions of himself on the team. And his way of time traveling is his heart leaving his body behind and go into a replica in the past or future. While it's a cool concept, let's not forget this is Kingdom Hearts which is exploring the worlds of Disney movies, and Disney has made some time travel movies such as Meet the Robinsons. And Sora, Donald, Goofy and Pete has time travelled to Disney Castle's past into Timeless River in a completely different fashion that affects the present-day castle and their whole bodies go into the past through a door. So why did Xehanort have to go through this complicated method if alternative ways to time travel exist?
