Re: Why does Aqua die?

terra: *clobbers ven into a passionate kiss*
terra: i know.. i love you ven

That's just flat out weird.

Anyway I hope she doesn't die but heck she was never really a part of the series so it won't bother me if she dies

its called yaoi, if youre going to be into forums, SRK, then you better get used to it. its in fanfiction, fanart, everywhere, so grow up and deal with it.

anyways, i think he DID lose memories, or maybe he's the god type saying "you must find the answer yourself blahblah "

Or maybe he's simply the type that doesn't go around blabbing everything.
I personally don't believe he lost any memory. I don't see why he would when no one else did.

Re: Why does Aqua die?

The biggest reason Mickey has never said anything up to this point in the KH series is mainly because Nomura had not written BBS until after KH2 was finished. So it isn't that Mickey didn't know or lost his memories, Nomura just had not written it yet so Mickey had nothing about it to say. Nomura really is pulling a George Lucas here, lol.

Nomura may not have written the specifics of the story, but I think it is obvious that he had a general idea during KH2.
I mean, he created the mysteries revolving around Xehanort IN KH2, meaning he had to have had AT LEAST a loose idea of what the answers to those mysteries were when he wrote it. Besides, like i said, Mickey isnt one to just blab everything he knows, plus, he was seen sparingly in KH2 and it's not like he's just going to sit Sora down in the middle of a battle against the Nobodies to say "look Sora, ten years ago [insert whack of crap that is not relevant to what is going on]"

I believe that it is indeed a combination of the two explanations, that is the best answer to this particular question. I agree Nomura must have had at least a vague idea. Not enough, however, to have a part of the script in KH 2 expain any of it. Espescially when it isn't necessary to begin with.

Re: Why does Aqua die?

Mickey's whole point is not to offer any information. KH2, anyone? He knew where Riku was and what happened to him but he kept his mouth shut. You'd think that something that happened 10 years in the past that had possibly no relevance to the present would be something he wouldn't even consider bringing up unless MX was suddenly standing in front of him or something.

Re: Why does Aqua die?

Well, Mickey didn't recognize the young Xehanort later when Ansem the Wise took him in, so perhaps his memories were altered? Then again, the young Xehanort looked so much more different it's probably hard to recognize, and Mickey was always dumb anyway.

As for Aqua's death, I really didn't think she died. Having the armour left behind doesn't mean she died, for all you know she just might have lost her body and locked her soul and heart within the armour as some "temporary" body, somehow. Or she just left part of her soul in the armour and left it behind so Nomura can fool everyone into thinking she died. In the concept secret movie at the end of FM+ she was the only one that didn't seem like she was going to die, heck, Terra was drowning in keyblades half the time and Ven got deep frozen like a fish. The only thing that happened to her was being plummeled into the sky by keyblades for 2 seconds then falling back down to the ground. Oh, and Ven landing on her, but she didn't seem to look injured from that. The initial pose looked extremely wrong, imo, but that's just me.

That's debatable. I for one believe that he did recognize the name.

Re: Why does Aqua die?

Mickey is training with Yen Sid during the game. Exactly how much he knows about TAV is debatable, but since it's unlikely he's watching the events through a magic mirror while training Aqua knows more about this than he does.

Re: Why does Aqua die?

cause most females in the game are useless and/or play very small roles, better to just get rid of her after she plays her part. less to worry about in future games.

TERRA: Yo ven! Aqua's dead bro!
VEN: So wut dawg, lets go chill somewhere.

Except Aqua doesn't fit in either category. She's well capable of defending herself and is one of three main characters.

Doesn't change the fact that she just stood by and pretty much did nothing in the concept video apart from casting reflect on Terra. She seems far weaker and less effective than Ven and Terra, or maybe she's just wiser and realises charging in is suicide. Either way, she pretty much seemed much less reliable than Ven or Terra, even if they did get themselves utterly crushed by Xehanort. At least they tried something. And Aqua is pretty much portrayed more as a support cast from within the concept video, even if she is capable of taking down hordes of unbirths by herself. Blame Nomura for her character role.

Re: Why does Aqua die?

Just because she didn't go running up and trying to slice MX doesn't mean she is weak.
You're basing too much of her on a single two minute video.

Re: Why does Aqua die?

This would be my guess. Both Aqua and Terra seemed concerned about Ven, only Aqua rushed to Ven's side, while Terra wanted a piece of MX. They just respond differently to the situation.

At least they tried something.

Kairi in KH2 "tried something". That hardly portrayed her in a positive light.
Also, seeing how both Ven and Terra had their rears served back to them, I fail to see how Aqua, the one who did do something useful by casting that Reflect and keeping her friends from dying, is the less reliable one to you.

Blame Nomura for her character role.

One that consists of taking on Maleficent, and probably Snow White's wicked witch step-mother.
I have nothing to blame him for, only give thanks to in that aspect.
