for some reason this video finds its way into most threads.. i guess its handy to have it copied on your mouse huh? lol.

anways: yeah.. riku was suppose to be chosen but he went to the darkness. hence it went to sora. my question is though.. could it have been a mistake giving to sora? sure he saved the worlds twice but still.. it could be a grave mistake in the future.

Sora stole the Keyblade more like it.
Riku didn't lose it because he went to the Darkness really, it's just that Sora touched the light of Riku's heart and took the Keyblade.

The truth is that Nomura has already eliminated Terra from being Xehanort in interview when he said that none of the three had appeared in any of the previous Kingdom Hearts games. Now the loop whole threw that is the fusion theory. That is the only way.

hm exactly. TAV havent appeared in the game AS TAV..but they could have appeared as T=Xeahanort and appear that way..so Nomura would still be saying the truth if he said that terra+aqua+ven havent appeared because they havent.

Sora has a good heart, he would not steal anything
the keyblade saw that he had a greater heart when Riku fell to the darkness

Sora stole the Keyblade. He obviously didn't do it intentionally, but that is the reality of what went down.
He touched Riku's light, and by doing so, the Keyblade went to him. The Keyblade was always intended for Riku, Riku was the original Keyblade Master. Sora took his Keyblade. Stealing.

Stealing is a harsh word.Sora is one of the keyblade masters, Riku still has his own keyblade have you forgotten

Being taken over by Darkness is not the same as losing your heart.
E: so many people got ahead of me and said that.
And if Terra is Xehanort, why would he keep repeating his name over and over and over? Is he insane? o_O

He would be talking about MX, duh

But Riku still has his own keyblade, so in real life situation, Riku is still a Key Blade Master
Sora has his own version of the key blade

I never said Sora stole Riku's ability to wield, or his status as a Keyblade Wielder.
Point of the matter is that Sora did steal Riku's Keyblade.

No it wasn't. Way to Dawn was something that was created through an unknown process using Riku's Soul Eater.
The Kingdom Key was destined for Riku, and it was Riku's Keyblade and Sora did steal it.

If Sora did steal Riku's keyblade then does that mean that there was a keyblade destined for him, since it seems he was meant to be a keyblade weilder eventually. Also even though sora obtained the kingdom key from touching riku's light, what else could have happened if he didn't because it was the realm of lights keyblade and riku gave in to darkness so him having the real of light keyblade wouldn't make much sense since there is a realm of darkness keyblade but, mickey was in pursuit of that so that only leaves riku with his current keyblade of inbetween The Way to Dawn. Basically nothing would have changed even if sora didn't steal it so why does it matter how you put it it happened and it's over with.

The Keyblade can work from either side. It is not affected by Light or Dark.
And there are more than one Keyblade per realm, obviously.
Riku's Keyblade isn't an 'in-between' Keyblade. There is only Light and Dark Keyblades. Riku's is a Light Realm Keyblade.

Interveiwer: If we directly translate "Way to the Dawn", "dawn" means "in-between night and daytime", so does that mean that Keyblade is from the In-between World? In other words, this means the Keyblades that Sora, King Mickey and Riku wield represent the Worlds of Light, Dark and In-between?
Nomaru: Well, if I have to say where they belong, it's just as you said. But the name of "Way to Dawn" doesn't have to mean that. This name came from the scene at the end of Riku's story in KH:COM that suggested which path he would walk on, where he said "The road to dawn."

The Way to the Dawn is an inbetween real keyblade nomura clearly agreed that it was.

A Nomura also says there is only two types of Keyblades. Light and Dark.

Nomura said:
Keyblades have 2 different constitutions, either from the Light side or the Dark side. This is merely the exterior key. The inner key can act from either side and its abilities won’t change. There is no clear division between Good and Evil.

Riku’s “Way to the Dawn” and Kairi’s Keyblade are naturally the same type of Keyblade as Sora’s.
^Confirms that they are all Light Realm Keyblades as well.
