Every single member has an X in their name. Thinking about this if you switch around there names you may be able to find out their real name.

Ex: Roxas=Sora and Xemnas= Ansem

Tell me thats not weird. You could find the real names of all the members and not even know it!?:D

The X in the name i originally thought it was put there to ensure that they were nobodies.

The X stands for Betrayal. The Nobodies were betrayed by there Hearts (atleast the Fonders of the Order) because their Hearts cast away the shells in order to gain powers of darkness. So the Nobodies more or less didn't want to be associated with the original selves. They made new names, to kind of start a new leaf.

I meant betrayal by rebellion...

axel=alex, all org names need an X, and for the name to be scrambled, alex alreay had an x, so he is now called axel

Alex isn't actually confirmed. Personally I don't think that's it, since you would add another X to the name. Only #1-6 and #13's true names are known.

The X represents the none existance ones, that they are nothing.

The X has nothing to do with Nobodies in general. If it did Namine and all the other Nobodies you fight would have X's in there names. Dusk has no X, yet they are Nobodies. The X is only given to Organization members. That's it.

That's because a Dusk is a type of Nobody, not their individual names. X usually represents an unknown element, a variable.

It's still there name. The same still applies. Namine is the best example. She's a nobody and she doesn't have an X. We know the meaning behind it. There is nothing to talk about.
