Would you rather Ansem to have been....

When KH1 came out everyone thought that Xehanort's Heartless was Ansem, the true Ansem and no one knew he was a heartless at all.

In KH2 however we learn he was actually the heartless of the real Ansem's apprentice Xehanort, which in turn led to the complex story that KH is today.

So my question is would you have rather the Ansem in KH1 to have been the main villian of the series so far?

Now this is my take on it, I would have prefered to have seen 1 of these 2 scenarios to have been the case:

1. In KH2 we learn that the Ansem in KH1 was in fact the real Ansem's heartless and that Xemnas is the real Ansem's nobody. While DIZ was some kind of associate of the real Ansem. (This is the most simplistic plot) And in KH3 we fight Ansem as a whole being

2. In KH2 we learn the Ansem in KH1 was in fact the heartless of Xehanort an apprentice to the real Ansem (Who is disguised as DIZ) and that Xemnas is Xehanort's nobody, and that Xehanort stole Ansem's name. Howeve unlike the plot in KH2, there is no mention of Xehanort's memory lost or mysterious past, it is simply stated that Xehanort always lived in Radiant Gardens and simply was a power hungry apprentice. (This scenario praticaly cuts out the BBS stuff) And in KH3 we fight Xehanort as a whole being.


Now personally I like the second idea the best. Sure it cuts out the BBS stuff, but it's alot less complex while still have a plot twist in it. Now of course i'm a BBS fan too, but they could have saved all the BBS stuff for the second saga after KH3 ad just used TAV, MX, and the keyblade war as a basis for that saga. But of course if this was the case then MX would need a name change as he would no longer be Master Xehanort lol

So discuss about your ideas as well as what you think of mine.

I would rather option 1, where he was still Ansem.
Regarding Kh1's theme overall and Ansem's relation to it, it makes more sense.
Ansem seemed to be based off of philosopher Anselm of Canterbury.

But if we see names in the future based off of the words:
Aosta
Bec
Lefranc
Caen

I would be surprised because they'd be using option 1 in an option 2 scenario.

In option 1, everything seemed so deep and interesting.
But since it became convoluted, KH has been nothing more than a cesspool lack-lustre, unnecessary games and homoerotic imagery.
Though the imagery was in KH1, its at a level where I can happily poke fun and honestly not believe its true.

I used to spend countelss hours drawing, thinking about, playing, studying, living, breathing Kingdom Hearts before KH2.
I would try to translate the 13 Points in order to get some clue as to when KH2 was coming out or its story or even BHK's name.

And if KH wasn't as stupid as it is now, I wouldn't feel like that was time wasted.
I may just be a nostalgic oldfag, but I know a good thing when I see it.

Kingdom Hearts nowadays seems so lame by comparison now.
Which is why I choose option 1.

Wow after reading these post it makes me wish they used option one more than option 2. Though I would still like to see the BBS stuff be the basis for the second saga, the second saga consisting of Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Mickey saving TAV, Fighting Master Whoever (Xehanort in the real plot) and solving some mysteries of the keyblade war.

Yeah lol, reminds me when everyone was calling Vanitas "DS" which stood for "Dark Soldier" and people called Master Xehanort "Old Mage or Old Wizard" before their names were revealed XD

Cause Ansem SOD is the best form of Xehanort that has ever existed.
His motives are plain evil, and his lines kick arse.
And then Ansem could lived on in Riku, and Roxas, the newly appointed leader of Org. XIII, cause he got Keyblade, could of become the main villain of KH2.
Then Ansem could have finally come back in after he had been hiding inside Riku's heart, and we'd have KH3.
The plot twist here could be Riku was unaware of Ansem being inside him until KH3

I don't know how I feel about Roxas being the bad guy. Originally he was meant to be like Sora's guardian or something, fighting Axel and the rest of the organization in order to protect Sora while he slept. Kinda odd to think about but Axel and Roxas were originaly planned to be enemies.

Yep, I remember reading about the original concept plot for KH2. Roxas was supposed to be fighting the organization and protecting Sora while he slept. Though I always wondered why the organization wanted Sora in the concept plot lol. I figured this concept was where Roxas' line in deep dive "Where's Sora?" Came from lol, probably in the original concept Sora would have been kidnapped, well for once it's not Kairi XD

Me too, but he had an argument with the dicks at Square so we'll never see him again, he was much better than Richard Epcar. Maybe the surprise for us in 2012 will be all of the Kingdom Hearts Games with Billy Zane replacing Richard Epcar.

I mean if that was the case then Ansem would have been ruler of Radiant Gardens and since he was also the one responsible for the heartless experiments, then that means he plunged his own kingdom into darkness which led to many of his subjects being turned into heartless.

I mean that is a really dark messed up evil thing to do. So yeah I think now Ansem from KH1 should have been the true Ansem's heartless so he would have been the villain of the first saga.

it would have been darker and better more simple cause without xehanort ansem wouldve been the one to make heartless as we were 1st lead to believe.
(it would hopefully have lead to less handheld games to)

then they couldve used aqua terra and MX for the next saga in some way.
