I think that the "x" mean you used to be a part of something.

Congratulations, l shady l, on becoming a premium!

But what I don't get is what if you were a Nobody like say Namine and wanted to join the Organization, would your name change? I mean are the people in the Organization there because they chose to be or is it just something they were in automatically? And also, how do Nobodies like Namine who aren't in the Organization get there names? Are they just random or do they have any signifigance at all?

yes only the Org. has them because it signifies their entry into the Organization...

NAmine was found by DiZ i believe and if so that explains that in and of itself. Xemnas found the others for his 13th Organization and that explains itself too.

Actually, it has nothing to do with betrayal; the first 6 members are the only ones we know to be traitors. The reason they put X into their names lies in Xemnas' original name, Xehanort, the original "X" name (and he wasn't even a nobody). It was most likely a name he gave himself, starting the anagram+X trend (since Xehanort-X can be arranged into either "No Heart" or "Another").
Anyone ever read the 2nd Harry Potter book? You know how Tom Marvolo Riddle rearranged his name to spell "I am Lord Voldemort"? It's the same thing.
Xehanort started the trend and passed it onto his followers.
