xbox 360 problem

What cords are you using? If you're using the YCrCb(I think) cables (green, blue, and red) then you have to plug the normal red and white cables where they would normally go, but what is your setup?

Is the tv a 1080p or i ?

Are you sure you're on the right channel, because what you've described suggests that you've got the TV on the wrong channel...

Did you turn it on? Sometimes you need to do that in order for it to work.

Do you have the cord switched to HD and plugged into the non-HD thing or vice-versa?

YOu have to ahve all six cables plugged in, make sure you have that. And also, make sure it sthe right channel. =\

I'm also pretty sure you have to have the TV turned on.

Not all six, leave the yellow one out, otherwise you'll have a distorted image and/or no sound.

And yes, the TV has to be on. . .
