another thing that led me to believe that they might be the same person is the fact that xehanort's heartless and master xehanort are the same person b/c of the outfit, but i don't think it has any significance at all, but is worth mentioning.

Xehanort's heartless is actually xehanort's heartless(omg shocker), not MX.

XH and MX are 2 different people, not the same (obviously you knew that). The similar clothing, however, does point out a significant relation between the two.

Well, if Xehanort was any of the Keyblade Wielders in BbS (TAV, DS, MX, MTAV), then Xemnas should have the memories of Xehanort's Heart, and as we have learned in CoM, memories cannot be erased, so, Xemnas should be able to Wield Keyblades. Or he's too lazy to get one, who knows.

Is it? Xigbar uses two weapons and could be considered dual wielding them and we know he's other didn't have a keyblade. Tha same could also be said for Axel

i think there's other threads relating to this topic, but i was just thinking....didn't xehanort lose his memories and doesn't remember anything right? maybe this xehanort was the master xehanort from bbs...with all things strange and messed up, something must've happened and made him younger and lost all memories...

Possibly. But if so, Nomura is going to have a difficult time explaining how he aged backwards..

Fusion? And I don't doubt an anti-aging spell or sufficient trauma might cause it to happen.

I know sufficient mental trauma can cause a mind to revert to a state before any of that stuff happened. Maybe it was so severe for MX that his body also aged backwards, but whatever.

Or you could go with the other plausible theory of Terra losing his memory save for the strong memory of Xehanort and thinking that's his name, and his hair greying in the process.

Eh, I'm absolutely it's a back-of-his-mind sort of thing that drives Xehanort to learn like he does, to regain what he lost as MX.

It's something in his past, and an attempt to regain it; that's almost for certain, right?

So, it could be knowledge, power, Darkness, possibly the means to revive/remake DS (if he was a puppet/clone)...
