And plus if it were prince's, don't you think the 'Prince's of Heart' sounds rather gay?

though that's kind of funni, warrior of light has darkness in his heart

Didn't see anyone explain that, so I will.

I believe they said that everyone has darkness in their heart. As everyone's heart has light. They once said that they actually need eac hother to exist. Sora had darkness in his heart, but, it was concealed deep within unlike Riku's, whose light was concealed deep within.

Well Riku was never really bad, until they wanted to leave on their journey, then the events of the heartless took place.

Hmh, that was pretty much my thought right from the start.^^ ()
It is pretty unfair after all, Girls can be Princesses and keywielders and boys can only be the latter...
Ah, but that is the one sided approach of emancipation... ^^

But if we would search for princes of the heart from Disney movies, who would it be?
For a fanfiction, I played with the idea and came up with the following characters:
I definitely think Sora would be one, because even when he became a heartless, he was not taken over by the darkness.
My next idea would be Aladdin. You remember, how Jafar chose him a "uncut diamond" to get the wishing lamp, don't you? Thus, he is pure of heart as well.
Then of course Arthur from "The Sword in the Stone", as his pure heart made him able to pull the sword from the stone.
And, given how maleficent equated Beast's heart in its quality with Belle's, I guess we should include him as well.
Then perhaps Taran from the Black Cauldron? While he does often act rather harshly I think he achieved a state of purity in the end as well.
And, not to forget, Quasimodo would be a truly pure hearted one as well.
Well, I would take Tod from "The Fox and The Hound" as well, but it would probably be rather odd having him with the others.^^ ()

The problem with the male characters is that they are to often either marginal (Snowwhite, Sleeping Beauty, etc), to old, not human or not really pure...

Well, however, I do not really think that all of the Princesses of the heart are that exceedingly pure anyway, so the latter would likely not be such a big problem.

So, how about Prince Eric or Hercules?^^ ()

Ah, but about Mickey having being a potential main character, I really doubt that. After all, Disney was rather reluctant in having him in the game at all.

Ah, but we could not let the proper enforcement of gender equality be stopped by that, could we? ^.~

well yeah, i understood that (nice explanation, though ^^), but i'm just saying that's kind of funni that nomura didn't make an exception to sora or something, ya know?

only reason his heart wasn't overtaken was cuz he voluntarialy gave up his heart. the only other person to do that was xehanort.

hmmm, let me think. YES. Sometimes the whole 'pure heart' issue, bought upon by Sora and the gang, can be somewhat childish to me. But that's just my opinion. I respect the symbolic issues of the heart, but I can't take it upon myself.

Dont blame Square, even though your jk-ing, its Disney who originally came up with the title of 'Disney Princesses'. They play that bit all the time at Disneyland.

That's the price you pay for being affilated with Disney.
