Well, I've already posted my other theory a long while back, and now I am adding more to it. This is, however, my belief of what happens at the end of BBS, and how Terra comes to be Xehanort from KH2.

Now, we all remember that Ansem was able to take control of Riku's heart, particular when Riku's heart welcomed in the darkness. My theory is that this is what happens with Terra. After a grueling battle against Xehanort, Terra goes to finish him off. Both he and Xehanort are in a weakened state. Xehanort, knowing he is to lose this battle has one final resort: to put his heart into Terra. Even though Xehanort is not a heartless, it is possible that he has this power. However, both hearts are strong, and internally, Terra's heart is desperately fighting to keep Xehanort at bay, and Xehanort's heart is struggling to fight off Terra's. In the end, Xehanort's heart is the victor, resulting in physical changes to Terra's appearance (just as Riku's appearance changed when he used the power of darkness). But because Xehanort's heart struggled to win the fight, the chain links of his memory were scattered and lost, resulting in a new Xehanort with memory, only of his name.

Now in kingdom Hearts 2, we see that Xehanort has powers. His heart is strong, but no longer is he one of the keyblade's chosen ones. Now he is trying to piece together his memory, going to new lengths in experimenting with his own heart to do so, and even continuing that quest as Xemnas.

BTW, my apologies if this theory has been posted and challenged. Any thoughts, bashing, other comments are welcome.

Not Ansem, Xehanort.

Not Xehanort, Master Xehanort.

all these threads are really confusing me..:*
i have a question though.. if Terra SUPPOSEDLY became xehonort then how do you explain the kh2 fm terra battle? i'm pretty damn sure it wasn't a heartless.
i'm not saying your wrong. i'm just saying it's becoming confusing

That wasn't canon. =/ And that wasn't Terra. At least, not confirmed. That was the Lingering Sentiment, or LS. It could be seen as possibly Terra's lingering feelings of bitterness towards Master Xehanort, who won not only the fight but control over Terra's body.

Honestly this whole submitted to darkness is like when Riku did it.
You know how people get when they feel there weak.
I support the Terra fusion theory!

This sounds like the best possible idea. It would explain XH obsession with darkness and KH. And Xemnas trying to regain his heart. Not the heart inside apprentice Xehanort but Terras original heart.

It is not known that xehanort lost his power to weild because he opened some door, I cannot remember which door it was. But Ansem the Wise said could not be opened any other way. So he could still be able to weild a keyblade.

He could not have forgot if he opened the door.

Then he could still weild but kinda scrambles the Terra=Xehanort theory.

According to the notes recorded by Xehanort,
the door he found didn't appeared to be locked
so he just decided to open it. It doesn't appear
that Xehanort used or remembered the Keyblade
because it sounds like it was a mysterious weapon
to him that he was unaware of until he spoke to Mickey.

Nice speculation. One of the best ones I've heard thus far.

But wouldn't Terra's eyes turn Orange, because of Master Xehanort? since he has orange eyes? or is it because both Terra and MX were close to darkness?

Me to this one makes some sence except for the fact that they stay like that. Im willing to bet that MX's heart just kicks terra heart out him. and terra goes into another body that he uses to fight sora in FM+

That... barely makes sense.

:I If they fused, then that would mean their hearts fused as well, wouldn't it? Or something like that?

Besides that, the fight in FM+ isn't even canon. Going along with the idea that Terra and MX fused to become Xehanort, I think that Terra's lingering feelings of bitterness towards Master Xehanort for 1) winning the fight and 2) fusing with Terra in the first place gave birth to the Lingering Sentiment. :I It's neither a Heartless or Nobody or even an Unbirth but more like memories incarnate similar to Xion, although it's only feelings.

That idea is most likely wrong, but that's what I like to think the LS is. :I

When Xehanort's heart possessed Riku, it eventually kicked Riku's heart out and sent
it to the Realm of Darkness. The same might happen with Master Xehanort possessing
Terra and then kicking Terra's heart out of the vessel as well.

I prefer the simple idea of Terra without memories becoming Xehanort, no Master Xehanort
or Dark Soldier involved. It makes the most sense to me.
