We are under a week until the exciting E3 conferences start and already video games news has been dropping all over the place. From Horizon Zero Dawn's release date to the world premieres of Watch_Dogs 2 and the latest Destiny Expansion, companies have been teasing and releasing new content for their video games. Square Enix has joined in with this, as they've recently lifted the veil on Final Fantasy XII HD and the release date for World of Final Fantasy.
This year, we at KHInsider thought it would be fun to play a little game. With Aqua's new render sure to be unveiled soon thanks to Unchained X, news for Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts 3 could be dropping any time between now and when the Square Enix Presents program ends next week. We decided to put together a bingo card for what we hope, expect, and would love to see at this years E3 conference!
If a row of 5 is connected, a special piece of artwork from Zephyr will be released to celebrate! What will it be? Play along to find out!

Okay, so whenever something that's described in one of the squares happens irl, cross out that square. Crossing out five in a row means you win! The five-in-a-row can be from any direction, diagonal or straight. The crown at the center is a freebie- cross that one out immediately.

Hopefully this means that Square will be revealing a new trailer for KH3 during one of the conferences (probably Sony's where they aren't having their own this year) or during their E3 live stream. I feel like that will be one of their "big" trailers along with new footage of the Final Fantasy 7 remake.

Bingo? The goal of Bingo is to get an entire row of the squares covered. You can cover a square if you get one of those things. So, if a disney world is revealed, that square is covered

Nomura has said there will be a new KH title every year. If 2016 is FCP then 2017 has to be KH3. I'm not expecting it till probably late 2017. I do however think it will come out then.

I feel like Square is taking a note from Konami and how they did the latest MGS. Basically they released a kind of prologue game a couple of months before they released MGS5.
They're doing this with FPC for Kingdom Hearts, it's the prologue to KH3 so I kind of suspect we're getting it probably at the end of summer or beginning of fall in 2016 and then KH3 around summer 2017.
The BBS segment in FPC is not even supposed to be 2 hrs, so it does seem like they're doing the same thing Konami did.

So, if we get a KHIII trailer during E3, can I say what I don't want to see in it?
I don't want to see the chess game between Xehanort and Eraqus anymore, as it's getting pretty old and if they show any more they might as well spoil the entire game's opening at that point.
I'm not sure that I want to see any Olympus stuff, either. Maybe some story elements there, but if it's just gameplay I think we've seen more than enough in that area for now.
Same thing goes for Kingdom of Corona, but if we at least get to see some of the characters from the movie in a new trailer I'd be A-Okay with seeing that world again.
...And that's about it:) Anything else, I'm more than open to getting a better look at (even if we have seen a bit of it before), so bring on San Fransokyo, the Mysterious Tower, and maybe something new and then we can call it a day for me. I'm easy to please.
I'm also hoping to maybe get a bit of info on the game's story where our heroes are involved, but I'm not holding my breath. And if we don't get that it's cool; I can wait.
But yeah... If we get more of the Xehanort and Eraqus conversation, and just more gameplay in the Mount Olympus and the Kingdom of Corona areas you can color me worried (though fortunately I'm pretty sure that won't happen). Or more accurately, if that occurs you can color Square Enix as major trolls. LOL.

I'm almost willing to bet money that 2.8 is a holiday title. If it were a summer one, we'd have heard about it, and nothing is going to pull from FFXV.

Yeah, but even if the Foretellers have the Destiny Trio (minus Sora) and the Wayfinder Trio's voices, that might not necessarily mean they're our heroes' past lives. I'm actually of the theory that they're their opposites now, personally;)

There hasn't been an official announcement of such I don't think, but given how the game releases a few months from now it would be very unlikely that it wouldn't have English voices at this point.

2.8 is 100% a holiday title for this year. News recently came out stating that the game was still due for 2016 (I don't have the source on hand, but can search for it if needed), and if the game is finished, there's really no point for them to hold it for half a year or longer. Konami actually received a lot of criticism for how they handled Ground Zeroes, as it was a lot of money for something people felt should have been in the game. 2.8 also includes Chi Back Cover and DDD, and I'm sure they intend to give people the opportunity to easily complete it all before they begin to dive full-on into KH3 promotion and release. If I had to put money on it, then I'd say 2.8 is coming out early December. We don't really know exactly how far KH3 is into development as far as I'm aware, so it could very well come out in 2017 (and there's really no telling that it will), but there's no chance 2.8 waits until then. Those citing that Square must release a major Final Fantasy or KH game each year couldn't be more wrong, as Square as more than just two franchises, and could honestly still be successful without either of them if they so wished.

I'm in total agreement with this. Hopefully (and presumably) the trailer's release is in line with a lot of the recent FFXV ones, where we get a number of the same trailer, but all in different languages posted at the same time.

Yay, so I'm not the only one who loves Frootz Cat, then? #frootzcatisthebestspirit.
But here's hoping that they do give us codes for Meowjesty, R & R Seal, Frootz Cat, SudoNeku and all of those guys, because I got pretty spoiled in having good Dream Eaters right off the bat in DDD, tbh (whether if it was through the AR cards, a New Game +, or both). Man, I hope whatever Kingdom Hearts 3 footage we get blows me away, 'cause I haven't really been all that excited about that game. Especially visually.
Like, I wanna see progression. I wanna be able to compare between the new footage and the footage shown last year and be like: they've really improved upon the visuals. Cuz that footage from last year looked incredibly rough. The lighting especially and the way it interacted with the character models and the textures.
I've gotten super worried about those things, ever since they made the jump to Unreal.

The fact that Square need to focus all their marketing on KH2.8 and FFXV right now just means that at the next E3, we'll get both KH3 and FF7 Remake at the same event. So, 2017 = best E3 ever confirmed.
In the mean time, 2.8 is looking so amazing. Easily worth $60.
