The beloved company, Square-Enix, has left us with some rather shocking news. They plan to have in-game adds, adds that are presented during the loading times of future games. Could it be true? Are adds going to rampage the gaming Square-Enix's gaming industry, interfering with you beloved Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts games? We certainly hope not, and that isn't necessarily the case. Square-Enix has made a deal with a company known as Nifty. The result? In-game adds during loading times in certain games. Commercials in games? You said it. It is true that it's not like Square to put adds in there games, but what's necessary is necessary, and they must do what needs be.
On another note, Square-Enix's president,Yoichi Wada, seems to be disagreeing with the way the PS3 is being marketed. Could this somehow prevent future Square-Enix games from coming out on the PS3? Wada says, "Sony first unveiled the PS3 as a mighty home electronics product. Then, after some badgering from game companies, it shifted the position of the console closer to a game machine. (The future of the PS3) would be tough if its marketing strategy is not straightened up," Who knows what will happen from here. Let's hope that Sony pays heed to Yoichi Wada's words of advice.
