    Combining medals?

    So i've heard that combining same medals from 3* or higher grade would increase their skill power. Then i tried to fuse 2 mickeys (3* and 4*) into my 5* one but nothing changed, so that means they need to be of the same rarity in order to increase the skill power, or is it random? also, there...
