well what i did was stand on the thorns and let donald and goofy do all the work.
i can't really remember that fight, but i just did like always do by kingdom hearts, just run up to the enemy keep slashing and everytime your health gets low use cure, and if that didn't work i would go train for like ten levels and try again

When the battle starts, be sure to summon Tinker Bell so that if you die you will be resurrected. Think of it as an extra chance. It helps. Also, try not to stay on the ground too much. Jump around and heal as much as possible.
She's a toughy. If that doesn't work, I suggest you go and train some more.
i had a gameshark, and lost the first few times, so i shouldn't talk.

then go up to the highest point of the thorns. watch her moves
then when u decide that u know her moves, go and attack
also move outta there if she launches her tracking fire (i think)
thenwhen she gets tough go back to ur little happy place and study her new moves, the go back and slash her.

Equip Megaelixirs, Donald and goofy with ethers.
when u r in ur happy place and the die, go back and do ur part and when ur health is low use a mega so it will not be a waste.
also try to get the stroger keyblade that does well on magic and physical.
try that out! and come back and talk to me if u need more help!

well i just attack her and stay under her. i also try to avoid the fire.
its pretty easy really i just dodged when needed and attacked her but i was around lv 50 tho

All I did was get a ton of Hi-Potions, Ethers and Exliers (spelt it wrong didn't I? x_x)
equiped them to goofy and donald and myself. Then, once the battle started, I ran to the thorns (had her targeted, better to keep an eye out) and summoned tinker bell. After that it's all a matter of timing.
Also, for the attack were the fire balls come after you, I found guard to be helpfull.

Dragon Maleficent
HP: 900
EXP: 6000 ITEM: N/A
Immediately cast Tinkerbell and Aero on Sora, as Maleficent is
much tougher this time around. Attack Maleficent, and don't
stop. You'll have no problems keeping your mana up, as you will
regain a significant amount of mana each time you attack her.
You will need to jump and attack for this battle, as you're too
low on the ground for the keyblade to reach Maleficent. However,
staying in one spot, or getting too close to Maleficent is not
a good idea either. She will constantly breathe fire, or stomp
her feet when you get too close.
This doesn't mean you can just back away from Maleficent either,
as Maleficent might thrust herself into the air. When she does
this, you will need to jump before she lands to avoid the shock-
wave. If you would rather play this battle safe, there's a few
places you can stand where you cannot get struck directly from
Maleficent.
This doesn't mean that you are completely safe, because there's
still several flames that can strike you. You'll either need to
avoid or reflect these.

Ok I'll tell you how I beat her.
Step 1
Put Beast in your party and Goofy
Step 2
Use aero(ga) REPEATEDLY and summon tinkerbell
Stay out of harms way and keep curing Beast and Goofy and before long shell be down to orange er something. Then finish her.

here's what I did
jump up on those large tree root things and use your magic to heal your party and to defeat her dragon. then at the end there will be a little bit left and then just attack the dragons head

I summon tinkerbell first
when your health gets low,use cure!
this'll keep tink on the field so she can keep healing you(if you let your health get low,she'll leave so that you can live,so protect her!)
Be sure to have MP rage equiped.I don't remember if there's a haste ability in KH1,if so,equip it.

There is a nice spot on the Dragons back where she cannot hit you with anything but her homing fire. Similar to the thorns. When the battle begins glide round and jump on her hind legs then climb up onto her back and position yourself between her wings. Make sure to have tons of ethers because your gonna sit there with the dragons head locked on, out of reach of most of her attacks yet close enough to repeatedly cast thundaga on her. Pace yourself, don't wear out all your mana and ethers. Let Donald and Goofy have a go occasionaly to avoid runing out of mana too soon.
This theory is foolproof as long as you have a level of around 45, which I dont... So I haven't beat her yet. But I've only tried twice. I only recently got to her...

Um what I did was hid in the thorns and let Beast and Goofy hit her, then I healed them when they died. Then, when she had like 10 HP left, I ran and sliced the ^%#%
outta her.

I still can't beat her so I'm gonna go and level up some more.

Just like Riku 2, this is another simple battle. On the side of the room, there should be a large root to hide behind. Go over to it and stay hidden the entire battle and let Donald and Beast do all the work. But equip potions to heal them though. And once her HP are down to 1 left, just do a finishing combo on her. Nothing hard at all about this.
