Gonna go ahead and spoiler tag this whole thing, just to be safe.

So, in KH3D, is the World that Never Was...
Spoiler Show...a dream or reality when Sora first arrives? There seems to be inconsistency between what Xigbar tells Sora after he is plunged into deep sleep and sees shifting dreams of various times, places, and people.
When Sora finally lands in a firm dream of the World that Never Was, Xigbar tells him that it wasn't easy placing him in a second sleep. To me, this clearly implies that the FIRST TWTNW Sora occupies was a dream, or a Sleeping World, much like the previous worlds visited. However, when Riku breaks free of Sora's dreams, he lands in the same TWTNW where a sleeping Sora resides in Where Nothing Gathers. This is the same TWTNW that, as implied by Xigbar, would have been a "first" sleep for Sora, but Riku (and the Story section of Reports) acknowledges that this version is "the real world".
I'm taking my own notes on the game, and this is the first real inconsistency I've discovered. Is the first "layer" of TWTNW a Sleeping World or the real world? If the latter, how is Sora in a "second sleep" while captive in Where Nothing Gathers?
