5 story quests have been added! The Union leaders have a disagreement over "Shift Pride", and a new character is introduced!

(Skuld, Brain and Ven join Ephemera.)
Brain: What are we talking about today? I'm very busy. There are so many books I have to take a look at.
Ephemera: Then let's finish up as soon as possible.
(Everyone sits down around the table.)
Ven: Lauriam isn't here though?
Brain: Oh, Lauriam won't be attending today.
Ven: Huh?
Skuld: Is that alright with you?
(Everyone looks at Ephemera.)
Ephemera: Well, I would like for all five of us to decide things if possible.
Brain: He said that whatever is on the agenda, he agrees with Ephemera.
Ephemera: Huh?
Brain: That's what he told me to pass on. Guess he trusts you, Leader.
Ephemera: We're all the leaders.
Brain: Well, whatever. Let's get this party started.
Ephemera: Oh, yeah…
When you were chosen as Union Leaders, I believe you all received a copy of this rulebook.
(The others take out their copy of the rulebook.)
Ephemera: Now, this is about the "Shift Pride" mentioned in here.
Skuld: Oh, that…
Brain: Battles between fellow Keyblade Wielders, right? Something wrong with that?
(Ven slams his book down and leaps out of his seat in shock.)
Ven: Fighting fellow Keyblade Wielders!?
Ephemera: You didn't read it, Ven?
Ven: I did, but I didn't realise that's what it meant…
Brain: It's only a competition type of thing, right? I think the lack of recreation was going to be a problem soon anyway. Plus, hey, it's in the rules.
Ephemera: Hmm…
Ven: I'm against it.
Brain: Ven, stating an opinion outright? That's a first!
Ven: Look, even if it's just for a competition, I hate the thought of friends and teammates going Keyblade to Keyblade.
(Skuld looks at her book and reflects on the Player interrupting other wielders' fight pre-Keyblade War.)
Skuld: I'm against it too. It only gives me a bad feeling.
Brain: That's two versus one. It's all down to you, Ephemera.
Ephemera: I… I think we should obey the rules.
Ven: No way.
Skuld: Ephemera!
Brain: And since Lauriam agrees with you, I guess we're done here.
(Brain starts to leave.)
Ephemera: Wait, Brain.
Brain: Hm?
Ephemera: We will follow the rules, but we won't have Keyblade Wielders fight.
Since the Keyblade War, the worlds we travel in the name of experience all exist in a separate space, reproduced from data. When we enter those worlds, we ourselves are converted to data. That means there should be records of our individual data.
Brain: I see what you mean.
Ven: …So what does that mean?
Ephemera: The opponents will be data recorded from Keyblade Wielders. This way, we can avoid clashes of the heart.
Brain: And, as per the rules, you can run "Matches between Keyblade Wielders," right?
Ephemera: Yeah.
Ven: Wow!
Skuld: Yeah, I feel like that would be okay.
Brain: All things considered, that's a really good idea you came up with there. That's not like you, Ephemera!
(Everyone laughs.)
Ephemera: You're all terrible.
Well, really, I guess you can thank Lauriam.
Brain: Why him?
Ephemera: Many, many days ago…
(Flashback! Ephemera is sitting at the table with his book, deep in thought. Someone calls out to him.)
???: What's wrong? You look troubled.
(Ephemera turns to see Lauriam.)
Ephemera: Oh hi, Lauriam.
You know, that "Shift Pride" thing written in the rules…
Lauriam: Oh yes, that.
Ephemera: Even simply as a competition, I believe it's dangerous to have Keyblade Wielders fight each other. But we do have to follow the rules…
I wonder why Lady Ava and the others would have us do such a thing…
Lauriam: Hmm… Relaxation? Or something?
(They share a laugh.)
Ephemera: You can't be serious.
Lauriam: Well hey, you're smiling now. You should lighten up about this.
Ephemera: Yeah, you're right. Maybe I'm a bit overwhelmed by this Union Leader stuff.

Lauriam: Hey, it's nothing. The five of us only have each other to share these secrets with.
(Lauriam starts to leave.)
Ephemera: Where are you going?
Lauriam: Since the Keyblade War, everyone has been travelling through those recreated data worlds. That means that data of everyone has to be recorded too, right?
There's someone I'm looking for. They're supposed to have joined the Dandelions, but I haven't seen them…
I thought perhaps I'd search the data.
Ephemera: I see… That's worrisome...
Oh! Can I help?
Lauriam: No, it's fine. This is a personal matter. I'll figure something out by myself. Thank you.
(He leaves. End flashback.)
Skuld: He's looking for someone…?
Ven: I wonder who…
Brain: It sounded like he didn't want anybody to pry. Let's not turn it into an inquisition. Not until Lauriam comes to us himself.
Skuld: You're right.
Ephemera: Well, all I meant was, it's thanks to Lauriam that I came up with that solution. I wish I could tell him…
(Lauriam walks on the streets of Daybreak Town and finds a girl sitting on the steps outside the warehouse.)
Lauriam: Are you Elrena?

Holy crap. Maybe Strelitzia’s heart went into Kingdom Hearts and Larxene wants to free it to bring her back in KH3. But why would she work with Lauriam unless she doesn’t know what he did? Now I’m imagining how seeing the sisterly bond between Elsa and Anna might affect her, which explains why she was chosen for that world.

I’ve been thinking for a while that Larxene in Arendelle is supposed to represent what Elsa could become if she gives into darkness, so it makes total sense that they’re writing her in a younger sister with a grim fate. I wonder if Larxene will mention her in KH3?

In regards to Lauram, we don't know for sure Lauriam killed her right? It just has to do with her name being a flower and his title in the Organization being Graceful Assassin, yes? I wonder if the twist will be that Brain killed her, and introducing Lauriam right after showing Strelitzia's death was a red herring.

Well, they used his model for the shadow of the person that attacked Strelitzia. So they were either being overly deceptive or it was him.
Also if they the plots of the worlds that they are featured in during a kingdom Hearts 3 is any indication to their origins, then we can likely assume that Lauriam/Marluxia’s has something to do with causing someone close to you to live a lie to serve some selfish scheme. As unexpected as this recent development is, if executed properly I think it can add a lot of depth to these returning characters and their future roles.

Was that discovered through data mining or something? I went back and watched and I could see how the hair might sorta be the same shape, but the whole model was excessively blurry. Either way, that could totally be chalked up to them not being sure yet who they wanted to have done it, or the KH3 staff making specific changes when they wrote the stuff for the current story updates. With Nomura, I don't take any story for granted hahaha.

Oh boy lol, I personally don't like this throwing everyone into this game for their backstory thing, but I guess with Lauriam already there she made sense to appear. I like her look, but I like all the X character's outfits. Her being Striletzia's sister of all things... was unexpected. I really hope some of this stuff actually matters in the future and that its not just fluff.

Right, that's my thinking.
Whoever it ends up being, there are potential motivations and stories. I hope one game or the other will establish how the people who have come forward did so. I just keep thinking about Yen Sid saying that not even Master Xehanort had the power necessary to physically move through time. More and more, I'm hoping it will turn out that the Unchained Realm is the Realm of Sleep, and that some of the people there are awakened amd brought back to the Realm of Light rather than time travel.

I suppose so, but 90% of the other characters all have blue eyes so I doubt the average person noticed something like that lol. Their hair is still strikingly different. I feel like I would need to see a 3d model of Striletzia to really compare since everyone in UX has same face.

But they AREN'T blue, they're sort of a seafoam green. She and Larxene are some of the only characters with green eyes, and as far as I'm aware they're the only two with that sort of green-turqoise coloration.

As a MASSIVE Larxene fan for years (because she's best girl with a different personality), my crops are growing, my skin is clear, the sun is shining...

I always found Larxene's eyes to be of a robin egg blue color. Still blue/turquoise-ish. It's definitely a color only she possessed, it has a unique shade.

It also gives a lot more weight to Marluxia’s Specter having some of the motifs seen in Strelitzia’s design. It’s kind of crazy how this is tying together.

I'm a bit iffy on Larxene coming for the age of fairy tales tbh. It feels redundant after the shocking twist that came with Marluxia.

Heh, so my initial assumption was true.
I guess that some of the leaders are not thrilled to have it around, possible due to Keyblade Wielders battling each other is a sensitive subject due to the War just having happened and the danger of creating similar situations to it could inadvertently trigger some of the buried memories of the tragedy which the normal wielders are supposed to forget.

It's entirely possible that the whole "Unchained Realm" is a data construct rather than in the Realm of Sleep. In X[chi] Lady Ava did mention that "the world" the Dandelions would move to is different to the one they're used to and people moving from a physical world to a data one has been a thing since the KH 2 Prologue with Roxas.
Space Paranoids works on the same principle and the Mirage Arena in BBS also works with Data projections and "stored" stuff.
Books can serve as a data store or be turned into accessible data as seen in Re: Coded so the "fail safe" to ensure light survives somehow is to having a "back up server" in form of a magical book.
The scene with the new Coaty and Maleficent also hints more towards data than Realm of Sleep but knowing Nomura he might even do yet another inception-style thing like perhaps an enclosed collection of data-worlds hidden in the Realm of Sleep or something.

Whoa, so not only did I predict that Lauriam would meet Larxene's somebody, but that she'd be called Elenar (which is close to Elrenar).

Finally!
After a whole year and nearly 2 months of filler, things are focused on the story I wanted to continue.
So I can say for sure that I like Ven stepping out of his comfort zone, even though he goes back and forth. It's better than nothing.
I barely knew Strelitizia, so I can't really feel much other than that her character was killed off way too soon. Larxene joining in on the Dandelion story, depends entirely on how they handle her character.
Darn it! I wanted Lauriam to have somewhat good qualities. Would make me very dissapointed if he was just written as a evil schemer from his introduction in this Union X storyline.
I’m trying so hard to not be bitter about these updates not coming to Global before KH3. This gives huge context to Larxene being in Arendelle and it’s a shame not everyone will have the full effect when they play.

This reminds me somehow of the story of Dissidia NT with the concept of energy born from battle being used to stabilize/create a world.
Also lol, on Blaine out of all emphasizing that it is "the rule" when he was the first to toy with the idea to disregard or at least flexible interpretation of the rules.

Gosh, if that is the actual translation it's Nomura again fanboying about Star Wars, lol.
It also seems there being two "factions" in development, with Blaine and Lauriam forming one while Skuld and Ven form the other with Ephemer caught in the middle and always forced to be the tip on the scales, which does not seem to sit well with him.
Also, her name is very close to “la reina†which means “the queen†in Spanish. :D
Oh my goodness...... I want Vanitas, Larxene, and Marluxia to form a trio in KH3 and I hope there’s a new plot with Ventus not the innocent boy he is seemed to be.
I look at the last scene one more time and I am not sure is strelitizia lauriam's sister or larxene's sister since the last (imoto no koto) meaning is actually ambigous and depends on the context.
It actually has two situation:
1. Imoto no koto ( About my sister)
2. Imoto no koto ( About your sister)
I don't know this scene refers to situation 1 or 2
Yeah, I'm not crazy about this either. I never thought I'd say this about discovering Larxene's true name and Somebody, but for me Nomura managed to turn this into the most boring and predictable outcome while at the same time not giving enough contextual clues to make you able to say anything more than "oh, so this person came from here" (theories aside).
What I dislike is that apparently anyone left without a proper backstory will just come from Ux. And that this still doesn't mean anything, because Ux itself is a big "maybe" when it comes to determine what it truly is and how it will affect the rest of the series. It's my main complaint about it, it's a mistery on top of other misteries, and whatever gets added to it won't be satisfying until all of it it's cleared up.
Also the fact that everybody already knew everybody. Now Larxene and Marluxia clearly have something more going on, but that also... I call this the "End of Naruto Shippuden" clause: when you make everything predestined and planned that far ahead, you kinda diminish the importance of the subsequent actions. Clearly this Lauriam/Elrena subplot will have more to it and I will watch it and judge it then, but as of now I'm not happy that instead of being united by a common cause born out of necessity, Marluxia and Larxene are potentially just Axel and Saix 2.0.
And wait, does this mean she also had a Keyb- oh, man.

Strelizia's more likely to be Larxene's sister because Larxene is in Arendelle, Frozen's theme is sisterly love.

Here, I'll say this to not end everything on a negative note like I sometimes do: I have no problem whatsoever with Elrena having a sister, actually I think it's very nice.
At least now it's confirmed that the concept of actual siblings exists within the main KH storyline.
Yeah, I'm not crazy about this either. I never thought I'd say this about discovering Larxene's true name and Somebody, but for me Nomura managed to turn this into the most boring and predictable outcome while at the same time not giving enough contextual clues to make you able to say anything more than "oh, so this person came from here" (theories aside).
What I dislike is that apparently anyone left without a proper backstory will just come from Ux. And that this still doesn't mean anything, because Ux itself is a big "maybe" when it comes to determine what it truly is and how it will affect the rest of the series. It's my main complaint about it, it's a mistery on top of other misteries, and whatever gets added to it won't be satisfying until all of it it's cleared up.
Also the fact that everybody already knew everybody. Now Larxene and Marluxia clearly have something more going on, but that also... I call this the "End of Naruto Shippuden" clause: when you make everything predestined and planned that far ahead, you kinda diminish the importance of the subsequent actions. Clearly this Lauriam/Elrena subplot will have more to it and I will watch it and judge it then, but as of now I'm not happy that instead of being united by a common cause born out of necessity, Marluxia and Larxene are potentially just Axel and Saix 2.0.

This whole setup can be executed well and result in some interesting character dynamics, but so far the KH series isn't really known for their truly engaging character dynamics and truly exploring the supposed close connections for themselves.
The character connections are either tied to some extra shocking "twists" that the overall narrative could do without or just used as a vehicle for some plot device rather than about the characters themselves in many cases.
Hence why I am on the skeptical side. Having everyone and their Replica connected to the Ux era also harbors the danger of a handwave-explanation for whole character groups, but I digress.
If I recall correctly Strelitzia's shadowy killer did claim the green rulebook she was entrusted with by Lady Ava so if the killer didn't pass it on to someone else the one having that book should be the killer.

I doubt she would have murdered her on a whim, so whatever reason she might've had for doing it could be born out of some emotional issue, which is humanizing in a way. It's really ugly to think about it, but killing another out of desire (maybe she really wanted to be chosen as one of the leaders) is very human-like.
And I don't think it would make her one dimensional as much as make her character consistent, just as it wouldn't make Lauriam one dimensional.
I certainly prefer it over a random heel turn Ventus out of nowhere, just for the sake of the shock.

Hah? One-dimensional would only be a thing if the character is just doing it all "for teh evulz" and similar things. A character doesn't need to have an entirely different or opposite personality to become a multi-dimensional character.
The character in question can be a shifty and/or latently "evil" character from the start which just escalates the further the story goes.

It is also possible that the killer took Strelitzia's book and passed it on to someone else who isn't aware that the intended holder of this book was murdered and thus is an unwitting pawn of the killer who continues to scheme from the outside.
We know Lady Ava had illusion powers that allow her to impersonate other people but it isn't impossible that there are more people with that ability including Strelitzia's killer.
So if he/she posed as Lady Ava the person given Strelitzia's book wouldn't even get any reason to be suspicious.

Understandable as Ux, just as Browser Chi and Unchained before it, likes to pile up mystery over mystery yet not providing many clear answers.
That's also a plausible and possible explanation among several others, which is actually one of the more interesting parts of the possible riddle.
As I said above, the one dimensional accusation really doesn't fit here since it is not a requirement for a multi-dimensional character to have completely opposite personalities in different stages of their lives.
Ugh, from what is shown of Ven in this very update he seems to be consistent with his usual characterization so I too think a turn to cold-blooded murderer would be too random and out of left field, even for Nomura and his knack for shock twists.

It would certainly be in-character for Xehanort to make such a "promise" to get people working for him. The main question would actually be if Lauriam is dumb enough to believe anything that old fart says.
After all, the whole first Organisation was based on the (false) promise that Xemnas could grant the other Nobodies a heart and as Marluxia he already tried to betray and take over that one.
Interestingly, Saix' and Axel's plan on turning against the Organisation was also based on the premise of the fact that Xemnas isn't trustworthy, so maybe we'll see Saix/Isa working with Marluxia/Lauriam this time around.
It remains to be seen how many of his vessels Xehanort can directly control at once but maybe getting strained is eventually one of the factors that will help bring him down.

Well, Ventus being located inside Castle Oblivion is supposed to be a highly guarded secret and while Xehanort had a suspicion (as had Xemnas) it is shown in 0.2 that he had to try and manipulate Aqua in order to get confirmation.
Terra also mentions in 0.2 that Xehanort is trying to "get" Ventus.
Now if Lauriam and Elrena are into this part too the main questions would be 1st how did they get the knowledge where to search and 2nd why do they put in all that effort?
In KH 2 Final Mix Xigbar also mentions the "second chamber where the "other friend" sleeps" to Zexion and how Xemnas is after it so it is not entirely impossible that they might have gotten the information from somewhere within the frist Organisation.
On the other hand Saix (who's second in command) and Axel know only about "the chamber" but not what it contains.

I suddenly had a thought, maybe that's how he manipulated Namine so easily? Namine and Strelitzia are quite similar in their behavior. Even their story a little. Marly almost always knew exactly what to say to get Namine to do terrible things.

The biggest takeaway from this is that Lauriam expected Strelitzia to be part of the Dandelions, so that means that the both of them knew each other. He then wants to use the power of data to see where Strelitzia was last.
Cut to him seeing Elrena, and querying her about Strelizia. I really hope next months cutscene is Daybreak Town so we can get further context as to who Strelitzia is friends with.

That ambiguity, tho. Lauriam is the flower guy and the strelitzia is a type of flower. There's also the Nobody Marly uses in his boss battle that's been theorized to be Strelly, but I say it'd make more sense if Elrena is the sibling given the theme of Frozen being sisterly love.
I want Lauriam, Elrena, and Strelitzia to be our first two girl, one guy trio. Lol. I think it would be incredible if Marluxia and Larxene’s goal all along was to bring Strelitzia back. Since her heart probably went into to the real Kingdom Hearts, that could explain why they’re aiding Xehanort now. Also, in the latest screenshots, Marluxia said he loves seeing family reunited. Maybe his statement connects to this somehow.

- The data animations in PvP turned out to be an actual clue, nice
- "Shift Pride" is an actual proper noun? Well, obviously "Pride" is a dead giveaway to anyone who's keeping track of the MoM and the cardinal sins.

I think think the box contains the book the UX world is in. The only way to open the box is with the X-Blade and Ventus was sent out somehow and lost his memories. The others came out when the X-Blade was created in BBS. The Master of Masters knew what was going to happen and made the UX world as a virtual library to be preserved to only those who have seen the Keyblade War and survived.

This definitely makes me think familial bonds, even if non-traditional, will play some role in KH3, like Sora and Roxas being like brothers, Kairi and Namine like sisters, Ansem and Ienzo as father and son, etc.

I think it is her. The hair parting matches, and the flower she holds is symbolic of her, and she is opposite Lauriam.
If that is the case, looks like we have Organization XIII Member Number XI Lauriam/Marluxia, Organization XIII Member Number XII Larxene/Elrena, and Organization XIII Member Number XIII Roxas/Ventus together in the artwork (I know Roxas is Sora's nobody and not Ventus, but Ventus' seemed to have been in contact with nearly every Organization XIII member before they became a Nobody so far).

Also, this changes my perspective of things—for Brian (Brain), not just Lauriam. Something about Brian's personality...it's kind of an unnerving casualness that is very undertone of other things. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Lauriam was late to the Union Cross meeting because he was looking for Strelitzia, not because he killed her. I wonder, were all Dandelions aware of who all was a part of their group? They did meet with Ava as a whole after all.
Maybe Lauriam knew she was a Dandelion, but not a Union Leader of the Dandelions? And if so, maybe Lauriam was meant to be a Union Leader all along, and someone else had committed the act of Strelitzia's death. I think Brian's personality is suspicious, but now Elrena's presence is taking us all around the hooper. Definitely just throwing ideas out, but with all the misdirection, I'm just excited to see what becomes. I don't believe KH3 will resolve most of this, but there'll definitely be more light shone on it all.
If Lauriam is the brother and not the killer as it seems to be the case, Spectre makes even more sense (would it have been the other way around it would've made as much sense as Sephiroth fighting with an Aerith avatar above him).
The people calling out him as being not the killer and a friend/relative way back when must be on the highest note right now.
Regarding Ven... it does seem like Nomura hasn't given up trying to make Ventus stand out more (which kinda took a blow when it was revealed the first X-Blade was the "wrong" method), so we'll see.

Ehhh, I think TAV only loses to RAX in how much it tries to shove friendship down our gullets. The only familiar parallels there would be Eraqus being Terra's surrogate father and Xehanort's training brother, but even then they were very transitional moments.
Kairi's Grandma and Sora's disembodied voice of a mother (oh, and Riku's invisible father) are the only traces of blood-related family in the series thus far, so if anything I think this Strelitzia reveal is the refreshing one.

Reading the whole translated video (thanks!), even the talk between the Leaders is kinda interesting:
- The data animations in PvP turned out to be an actual clue, nice
- "Shift Pride" is an actual proper noun? Well, obviously "Pride" is a dead giveaway to anyone who's keeping track of the MoM and the cardinal sins.
- I swear, Brain could push any other Leader in a dark alley, pull out a bloody knife and say "I will kill you in your sleep" and they would still laugh it off "Ohhh, Brain, you never change!"
Seriously, he's so blatantly suspicious and with a morally grey mindset.
- So, is Lauriam meeting Elrena, or a data version of Elrena? It's not clear, but I gotta assume she's the real one since Daybreak Town *shouldn't* be made of data.
If so, are Dandelions free from the Unchained loop and are just hanging around in DT or did Lauriam insert himself in the supposed sleep?

I've watched the video more times by now and I too found the scenes of the leader discussion quite enlightening also on their overall stances and general personality outlook.
Despite the chibi art style you can observe their current mood and feelings partially from body language.
I'm in no way claiming my observations as being factual, but from what I gathered:
- Blaine seems to be truly the only one actually comfortable with the role of leader given to him, generally subtly but definitely moving the meeting (and the agenda) along. He also tends to subtly place more pressure on Ephemer by continuously referring to him as the overall leader and leaving the last choice often to him which clearly seems to make Ephemer uncomfortable.
- Ventus has outright stated before he's uncomfortable being in a leader role and (possibly due to being the youngest) doesn't even understand quite some parts of the terminology or what certain parts of the rule book even mean despite having read it, yet when it comes to a topic that somehow "ticks something off" inside him he's quick to jump up and voice his disapproval.
When he hears about "Keyblade Wielders fighting each other" he literally jumps out of his seat in shock and is obviously upset. His vehemence surprises Blaine indicating the others haven't seen him this assertive before.
- Skuld seems to be accepting yet certainly not enthusiastic with her role as a leader and while she has her emotions more under control, she's certainly as upset about the whole "Shift Pride"-issue as Ven is indicated by her flashback to the original world where the infighting symbolized the opening stages of the war.
- Lauriam seems to just "go along for the ride" but doesn't really actively participate in his leading role. He isn't uncomfortable like Ven is but also doesn't seem really into it like Blaine is. Him not participating in a meeting is one thing and can even be excused when personal matters are at hand but him declaring that his vote can always be counted as the one Ephemer makes somehow doesn't sit well with me yet I can't really explain why. It's just somehow weird and I don't fully buy Blaine's "Guess he trusts you, Leader."-explanation.
- now last but not least, Ephemer. I've spent at least three times watching the video observing solely his body language and facial expressions and ho boy, I dunno if it's only my observation but he does seem very nervous, stressed and insecure about everything.
He admits to Lauriam in the Flashback that maybe he's overwhelmed by all the Union Leader stuff and yep, I think that's definitely a thing.
Ephemer's expression changes the most over a short time throughout the meeting, he's more often "kneading" his hands together indicating a sort of anxiety and makes more pauses than usual when speaking which is a notable contrast to the curious, friendly and inquisitive boy the Player Avatar met in the original Chi.
Blaine apparently often going on with that "overall leader" thing on him doesn't help things either and neither does the fact that he seems to take the initiative/control of the debate right away like the "Something wrong with that?" bit right at the start.
Looking at it overall, Ephemer seems to be as much if not more uncomfortable with the whole situation than Ventus is, especially since there seem to be quite some things in Ava's rule book which go against his personal assessment of right and wrong, but doesn't show it as openly, also often trying to laugh tension away.

If he was talking about Strelitzia it would mean she isn't his sister as "hasn't met them yet" would not be appropriate except if they mean to tell us that her and Lauriam lived in the same city before the Keyblade War yet despite being siblings never even met once.
On a further note, I wonder if Lauriam's quest to look into the data will have any chance of succeeding at all due to two possible obstacles.
The first one is obvious: Strelitzia's death was shown in a flashback that supposedly took place still in the original world, the one which was lost due to the Keyblade War. Since she perished before the Dandelions set out to the other world it is possible that her data wasn't even recorded.
The second one is more ambiguous but that new Coaty who met with Maleficent mentioned there being certain restrictions on the data so if Strelitzia's data exists it may also be part of the restricted datapool.

On the TAV relationship everyone seems mixed. I also should have been more specific that I meant,
it's not a familiar sight for non-blood related characters to form their own family. Mainly cause I believe family can be more than what it's perceived as. I just like that they show traits such as supportive, coaching and affectionate. That alone can make for a relatable and positive perspective what family can mean for those that have found families in other ways of life. Those that came from abusive backgrounds. Admittingly, TAV isn't the best example, since there's still signs of scolding and overprotectiveness. RAX could be a slight better take. But I still stand for their deep bond, and all the painful damage they have faced just to reunite at peace.
It might be new to see blood related connections for this series (Sora's mom, much) But what KH introduced as just friendship, grew into something more complex. Well that's how I see it.

Terra being Sora's half-brother would be an intriguing plot twist. Have the Master of Masters be the father of both characters, because why not.
About Lea and Kairi, I'm 50/50. Elrena and Strelitzia being related is plausible because they share the same iris colour and Larxene is in Arendelle (Disney world plots have always been thematic for every Organization XIII member thus far in Kingdom Hearts III).

I think Elrena is who he was looking for. That would fit with the structure of the scene where they’re talking about who he is looking for and then he finds Elrena in the next scene. I think he knows Strelitzia is dead since he probably killed her, but there’s some information he needs about her. So he’s searching for her sister who might have the answers he needs.
I could obviously be wrong since it’s not clear either way. But I like the idea of Lauriam having the reaper theme because he took Strelitzia’s life and the Specter is a representation of her death lingering over him. Then if she’s Larxene’s sister, there’s the Frozen parallel. Since this storybwas developed by KH3 staff, it makes sense that they would set this up.

There's no way you can do that without making the translation poor or omitting the sister part entirely. Lauriam specifically refers to someone's sister, and English requires a pronoun attached to it. Something like "I want to ask you something about sister" doesn't work.

I mean, if they used imouto then my understanding from formal Japanese is that it's specifically your own sister unless explicitly stated as "specific person's sister". Maybe conversational Japanese has different rules, but that would be my understanding.
If Strelitzia IS Luariam's sister and he DIDN'T kill her, that leaves us something else to consider: That Lauriam may in fact be a proper keyblade wielder, raising further questions about Marluxia.

Considering it was Lauriam’s shadow in the scene with Strelitzia’s murder, it leads me to believe for now that he was introduced as Stelitzia’s killer turned Union Leader and Elrena is being introduced as Strelitzia’s sister. (Yeah, I know his shadow could have been a placeholder.) So far, there isn’t anything suggesting this can’t be the case and it fits beautifully with the situations both the characters find themselves in later in the series, so it’s what I’ll hope is the case until we get more information. It isn’t that I can’t let go. It’s that I don’t see a reason to without more proof.

Why would Marluxia be looking for Strelitzia if he's the one that murdered her? Why would he be looking for her sister? To murder her too?
We all jumped to the conclusion that it must have been Marly that killed Strelitzia, but I think even that is questionable now. It makes a heap of sense for Marly to have been looking for Strelitzia and his apparent confusion as to why he hasn't found her yet if they're brother and sister. If Elrena is just Strelitzia's friend, it'd make sense why Marly is kinda unfamiliar with her but still comes to question her about it.
I guess I side more with it being Marly's little sister because murder aside, him looking for her and trying to get information about her makes sense, while I can't think of a reason why Marly would still be investigating Strelitzia knowing she was murdered (and no one would know except him if he did it)

Imagine if Strelitzia’s death is what ultimately leads to the war of the x-blade. Lauriam and Elrena could try to get it to access Kingdom Hearts and bring Strelitzia back, putting them at odds with her real murderer and the other Union Leaders who wouldn’t want anyone to access Kingdom Hearts.

Oh right, something many people pointed out when Strelitzia was first introduced. Her hair clips are literally XI, #11, which is Marluxia's rank in the organization. Originally this was evidence tying them together to say he was the killer, but it could mean they're actually family and that was a hint.

Agreed, "I want to ask about sister" only works if the one asking the question is asking about a nun as in "sister Anna" or something similar but then the name has to be attached immediately afterwards.

The question is if that is really a requirement? Since when is one sibling murdering another an alien concept? We have no context yet as to why Lauriam is conducting this search in the first place. Just because we have the possible brother/sister dynamic now doesn't mean we can actually discern all his intentions and feelings.
Then again, I've thought in general about the possibility that Strelitzia's killer, whoever it is, possibly can't even remember they killed her due to either
a) being controlled by someone else while doing the deed just like Terra was by Maleficent in BBS when stealing Aurora's heart and having the memory wiped afterwards.
b) the deed being a dark one which happened in the old world it being possibly erased by the Spirits whose task is to help the Dandelions forget about tragedy, it isn't sure that the spirits remove only memories in regards to the war itself.
or c) being directly possessed by someone and not really "awake" during the incident cuz why should Xehanort have a monopoly on the possession route?
The net seems in general prone these days to quickly attach to some concept or theory and then refuse to let go if it is debunked or simply made obsolete by newer information.
In the realms of Tumblr etc. the whole Xionnort-issue is still a thing in some circles, especially since that shot of the 13 seekers standing on the not-Arc the Triomphe in the Pooh-Trailer.
In this specific case though I could imagine that some people prefer the Larxene/Strelitzia dynamic because it would make Strelitzia's death a catalyst for the development/backstory of a female character instead of the usual "stuffed into the fridge"-trope to facilitate development/backtory for a male one.
The whole Frozen-parallels are just the icing on the cake for that.
I woke up this morning to loads of sister fanart. Came here, read the translations, and became neutral. I'm not exactly a professional at deciphering Japanese, but I thought people these days knew Japanese -> English is not always one to one and some things are left ambiguous or could be confusing. There's that error in KH2 where Roxas asks Sora why "he" chose him or something, it happens.
I don't know where the user got it, but someone posted some concept art of Strelitzia concept art and a lot of the potential outfits resembles Marluxia. (I still am not sure where this is from, so could be BS).
I'm kinda convinced she is Marly's little sister, but if it's the other way around, that's ok too. People make too much of a deal of this honestly.
Eh, that whole thing with Roxas in KH 2 also still raises debates in some corners of the fandom up to this day so I am not surprised much.
There have been comparisons of Larxene's knives to the petals of the Strelitzia flower so in terms of visual parallels and hints both factions have ammunition to spent.
Why would Marluxia be looking for Strelitzia if he's the one that murdered her? Why would he be looking for her sister? To murder her too?
We all jumped to the conclusion that it must have been Marly that killed Strelitzia, but I think even that is questionable now. It makes a heap of sense for Marly to have been looking for Strelitzia and his apparent confusion as to why he hasn't found her yet if they're brother and sister. If Elrena is just Strelitzia's friend, it'd make sense why Marly is kinda unfamiliar with her but still comes to question her about it.
I guess I side more with it being Marly's little sister because murder aside, him looking for her and trying to get information about her makes sense, while I can't think of a reason why Marly would still be investigating Strelitzia knowing she was murdered (and no one would know except him if he did it)

If Lizzie was Elrena's sister, and he was the killer, there's absolutely no reason for him to go to such lenghts in tracking down the sister of his victim only to say "Hey remember your sister?"
It would be shadier and creepier than anything Brain is saying, and that's saying something. Like, I know a killer comes back to their crime and all, but come on.
So unless the killer is a third party (possible, but I don't see adding another character to this subplot as a good idea) it only makes logical sense that Lauriam is the brother.

Xigbar fits Olympus because he fought the heroes Terra, Ventus and Aqua, and all three of them have visited Olympus. Hercules is about being a hero.
Young Xehanort represents Xehanort in his youth, the Toys in Toy Story are powered by the imagination of young people.
Luxord can arguably be a British archetype hence his reocurrence in The Caribbean, a world involving the British Empire.
Now in the event that Lauriam is indeed the brother to Strelitzia, Larxene could be in Arendelle because of her codename of being a Savage Nymph, and Nymphs reside in mountains.
Basically, what I'm getting at is that the Organization XIII memeber placed in each Disney world still links to the theme of said Disney world regardless of how strong the correlation is.

Literally anyone fought "heroes" who visited Olympus at this point, if we consider TAV to be heroes just cause (like, they weren't even made heroes in the "Hercules way" like SDG were in KH II. Ven didn't even enter a tournament ever.)
Xigbar is merely a villain who fought good guys, that's not Hercules' exclusive. Hercules is about being a hero, and Xigbar is furthest away from what this theme represents.
Young is way past the age of toys and was never shown to be the type of person interested in them. I definitely don't associate "young man in his twenties obsessed with the outside world" when I think about toys.
Luxord is a... British archetype? Because he's a... gambler? That's quite the only character trait we have about him, and I wouldn't link that as a surefire proof of being linked to Pirates even despite every Pirate product having gambling in one way or another. If that's about the way Robin Atkin Downes talks, since he comes from London, then I imagine the Japanese audience being incredibly confused about this connection.

From the trailers it comes over more like Young Xehanort is representing Xehanort's overall curiosity and willingness to experiment without caring for possible negative consequences in the Toy box world.
He literally says to Sora at one point he can't let him leave yet because he hasn't observed enough.
The theme seems to be more that Xehanort sees everything and everyone as being a toy to experiment with and observe what happens.
Young Xehanort creates situations and scenarios (like splitting the world), throws Sora & co. as well as the living toys in and then stands back and watches what happens.
It can even be interpreted as a flip side to the "everything can gain/develop a heart"-mantra introduced in DDD. If everything, even objects and things like toys (or puppets) can gain a heart then you can also treat them all the same, as expendable resources to be spent reaching your own ambitions.
Just like Pete dismisses Data-Sora as "just data" in Re: Coded, the question about the value of a heart and what it actually is gets brought up again with Sora's and Xehanort's approach clashing directly this time.

Now that you mention it, while we don't know exactly how much the killer knows they definitely knew quite a lot about the ongoing issues with the leaders and the rule books.
In this vein, it seems that the killer knows even more than the future leaders themselves as it was shown (in Ephemer's and Strelitzia's case) and mentioned (in Ven's case) that the leaders themselves didn't know they are chosen to be leaders until Ava actually approached them and gave them the green rule book.
For the killer to be able to so meticulously plan the whole murder thing ahead and then act accordingly to the new Dandelion leader's orders (which they shouldn't know if Ava never approached them and explained it like in Ephemer's, Strelitzia's and Ven's cases) they must have known about the whole procedure before Ava informed the soon-to-be leaders about their future duties!
Could it thus be that the "traitor" the Foretellers were searching for and the murderer of Strelitzia are one and the same?
Do we know that no one knows who Strelitzia is? It was mentioned that she participated in several parties and if she was a Dandelion she would be present for at least some of their training lessons overseen by Ava.
So the possibility that something could be digged up and rain into someone's parade is still up in the air.
I'm not really insisting that Lauriam IS the murderer nor do I definitely say he ISN'T. In my view the overall level of information is still too low to definitely rule out anyone or accuse anyone.
The only ones I personally completely rule out are Ephemer and Skuld since Strelitzia's murder happened in the old world shortly before the war and during that time Ephemer was already in the "Unchained" realm setting things up and Skuld was hanging around with the Player.

Speaking for myself, this is a sole reason as to why I find so many dismiss other IPS that they find similar to the worlds distinction. In the end I find that to be a little hypocritical, especially since it's either the (looking for a property that connects with a box) or some vessel revisiting a world they already been to. The whole idea of just adding a world for a sake of introduction without influence from Xehanort, has been dismissed since Marluxia's involvement in Kingdom of Corona. There's also room for some non-Xehanort influenced picks to choose from.
But now with the game so near release, everyone is desperate to find out what remains as the new hot Disney IP. I've gotten tired of the guessing game by this point and just accept whatever is left or have been shown.

Well, objectively spoken Ven cannot be definitely ruled out but I find it to be quite farfetched. He is simply not ruthless enough to deliberately commit a murder.
Even before his darkness is forcibly removed and personified as Vanitas there are numerous accounts of other people, including Xehanort, Lauriam, Skuld, Ephemer and Blaine who attest how much of a kind and benign yet hesitant and meek person Ventus is.
Xehanort even calls him too benign for his own good.
The current update shows that he's even already upset at the thought of Keyblade Wielders fighting each other just in a competitive manner so I don't know where the supposed ability and mindset for "I'm going to kill an innocent girl I don't even know" is to come from.
One cannot really pull up Vanitas as a comparison or "proof" since Vanitas' personality and views as well as his high penchant for unrestricted violence come mainly from his four year upbringing under Xehanort and the fact that his heart is pure darkness with not an inch of light to provide at least a small source of restriction or balance.
X-era Ven doesn't have that.
Of course anything is still possible, that's why I refrain to name any specific person to be "most likely or definitely" the killer. The possible scenarios surrounding it as well as possible curveballs are still too many to make even an educated guess.
The whole third party murdering Strelitzia and then giving the rule book to one of the five while posing as Ava is also still a valid possibility as I don't think Ava is the only one capable of shapeshifting to impersonate someone else.
Yep, exactly, no one knew who the other leaders would be but regular Dandelions also shouldn't know who the intended five are going to be.
Heck, Ephemer says in the first meeting of them at the Foreteller's tower they should pretend to the regular Dandelions that the Foretellers are still there running things so the regulars aren't even aware there is a change in leadership.
Yet Strelitzia's assailant does know that she is one of the chosen five which shouldn't be known to either the Dandelions nor the future leaders so it is possible the culprit not only being none of the five but also not even being a Dandelion.

The new leaders didn't know before the first meeting at the Keyblade Graveyard who the other four leaders would be, yet Strelitzia's assailant had to know she is one if the goal was really to just replace her instead of i.e. just preventing her from telling the Player Avatar something they aren't supposed to know.
I didn't spend much thought on it up to now, but re-watching the cutscenes in Strelitzia's house her Chirithy seems to be very worried for some reason about her intention to warn the Player Avatar and/or recruiting them to the Dandelions.
Chirithy: "But Master Ava told you not to say a word to anyone." Strelitzia: "I'm gonna recruit him to the Dandelions. I won't say a word about anything else. Good night!" Chirithy: "I'm not sure I like this!!" |
It's also a little weird that her own Chirithy seems to have second thoughts about her qualification as a leader, voicing them right after directing her towards where the Chirithy thinks he saw the Player Avatar:
The next morning, Strelitzia is waiting for Player, when suddenly Chirithy says he saw him/her. They go to where Chirithy saw the Player. Chirithy: "She… a Union Leader… really?" |
Then there is the actual assault and Chirithy claiming it is all his fault?
Why? Because he doubted her? Because he lead her to this location in the first place?
They enter a house, but nobody is inside. Chirithy: "Maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me." Strelitzia: "Helloo! Is anyone here?" Chirithy: "I guess I was wrong." Strelitzia: "Well, it was worth a shot. I'll head back to the Fountain Square. Chirithy: "Okay. I'll keep searching." Chirithy: "Hm?" Strelitzia: "What?" We hear a Keyblade strike someone. (this was cut out in the GLOBAL version for some reason!!) Strelitzia and Chirithy are on the ground, her book next to her. The attacker takes her book and wanders off. Chirithy: "Why...? Strelitzia…" Strelitzia slowly gets up and hugs her Chirithy. Chirithy: "I'm sorry. This is all my fault..." |
Maybe I'm seeing things but maybe Strelitzia specifically trying to aid Player is another reason or the actual reason why she had to disappear.

Everyone has darkness within them, that's not really a definite criteria.
When Xehanort made Vanitas that is not only after whatever disaster happens that leads to Ventus landed in his hands in the first place which could further fuel Ven's Darkness, it is also not true that there was more Darkness than Light in terms of quantity. The part of Ventus' heart that is missing symbolized by his cracked Awakening station is roughly a quarter and about that part Xehanort writes in his reports that Vanitas took more of Ven's heart than he was supposed to thus further weakening Ventus who was already in peril due to having been nearly mauled by a bunch of Neoshadows.
It is a given however that Ven's darkness was rather deep due to already experienced trauma which most likely stems from both his experiences in the X-era including having to witness the war and deal with possible survivor's guilt as well as whatever "training" Xehanort put him through beforehand.
This all isn't really an indicator for a capacity of intentional murder though as Ventus seems to dislike fighting and only resort to violence if he must as seen in this newest update when he objects to the PvP-feature.
Ephemer and Skuld can be ruled out at least as those actually doing the strike that does Strelitzia in as we know they were at different locations when it happened.
Ephemer was already in the Unchained realm to set things up and Skuld was with the Player.
It doesn't rule out one of them "ordering" the deed yet just like Ven, their personalities and outlook do not really fit such a drastic measure.
Blaine is definitely still suspicious and out of the new Union leaders he is practically the one we know the least about after Lauriam.

I agree though that his behavior comes over as somewhat shady if not even partially manipulative as he seems to not only be the one to most quickly agree to implement things right away he also plays this whole "Ephemer is the leader"-mantra up a tad too often for my taste.

Miki Yamashita, a character designer working on KHUX, said during the Dandelion meeting developer panel that Nomura's description for Strelitzia were that she's a dandelion, based after a flower, color is orange and is very quiet and reserved. So I don't think we can put too much into the yellow if orange was specifically pointed out.
Modelwise, isn't Laurium's model taller than most of the key kids? (Blaine too?) Elrena looks smol like everyone else. Strelitzia could still be her little sister, but if Laurium is implied to be older than average, Strelitzia being his younger sister also makes some sense.

Blaine shares the same base model as everyone else, so he's shorter than Lauriam in-game. I can't say confidently about a unique model like Gula since I have no idea where his feet are underneath that cloak, but Gula is taller than the default model.

At this point I think Lauriam is the red herring and Brain is the shady one who might've at least set up the murder.

Actually confirmed as in seeing the rule book being handed over we have only Ephemer and Strelitzia, Ven's is implied through conversation in the meeting at the Keyblade Graveyard:
Ephemer: "So, Master Ava talked to you too, huh?" ???: "Yeah, she said I should come here after everything was over, and that I was one of the five." Ephemer: "I got the same speech." Ephemer goes to the third member and reaches for their hand. "I'm Ephemer, by the way." The third member gives Ephemer his hand -- "I'm Ventus. Call me Ven." |
Blaine speaks of Ava too, comparing her with Skuld and describing her as "the serious one" but not specifically about him having been chosen by her:

The only one not to mention either Ava or the green rule book is Lauriam and idk if we so far ever saw him hold one. In the current update there are only four leaders in the meeting room when they pull out their book.
Called it. Lauriam killing Strelizia was too obvious, I knew he was probably infiltrating the Union Leaders in order to get some kind of closure or revenge, and that seems to be the case.
Also called it, Larxene is from wherever Marluxia is, surely their plot in Chain of Memories dated back to Lauriam and Elrena times, it was too convenient that both of them and Ven were all in the same place, while Marluxia and Larxene had their, still to this day, secret agenda. Were they searching for Ven in their own terms? What kind of relationship they had in that point in time? It will be crazy to me if this is not all cleared up by KHIII.
All these theories and discussion makes me hope that this murder mystery case is solved before KH3 is out.
I know UX will continue even after KH3 is out, but in the very least, the murder case...

More and more I'm leaning to neither Elrena nor Lauriam being the killer. To ignore Brain for a sec, Strelitzia's Chirithy may not be so innocent either. He questions about Strel being a Union leader and later claims it was his fault they were attacked. Now Chirithy feeling that way doesn't need to mean that he was in cahoots with the killer. He could just feel responsible because him helping look for Player led them to an unknowingly dangerous area, but he could have been under the belief that the killer was going to help Strelitzia by taking a position from her Chirithy didn't feel she's qualified in. Chirithy just didn't know that taking the position away meant killing her.
Now if Chirithy is completely innocent, but claims they saw Player. The killer might have illusion powers. The only people we know can do that is Ava and Ienzo/Zexion. I doubt the killer was Ava, and it can't be Ienzo unless the theory of Brain being him is true. Of course, there could be a third person with illusion powers, and Brain could have that ability without becoming Ienzo later.
I won't leave out the possibility that the killer is a currently unknown character, but my current guess is that Brain is the killer.

The 3 of them being family could be a very interesting reason as to why the worlds of Frozen and Tangled are included in KH3 and why Larxene and Marluxia are the nemesis of said worlds.
The theme of Tangled is about family reunion (Rapunzel finally reuniting with her real family). It could symbolise Marluxia/Lauriam's desire of having his family reunited again (he has Larxene/Elrena, but he lost Strelitzia).
The theme of Frozen is sisterly love (the love between Elsa and Anna). Larxene being the nemesis of this world can reflect "what-Elsa-can-become" should she give in her fears and become a darkness. It could also reflect Elrena/Larxene's pain about her loss of her family (her little sister).

You know I wouldn't be surprised if Brain is the killer and Brain is Gula.
The timing would line up as it looks like Chirithy had seen the player head into the house when they were heading in with Skuld to talk to Gula. After which we know Skuld and the player left but we never see Gula leave, which doesn't meant that he didn't just that he's honestly the prime suspect as presumably he still be in there when Strelitzia entered. Gula knew about the Dandelions AND he's close to Ava so it's not far fetched to believe he would know about the new union leaders. He's also demonstrated that he's as yellow-bellied as his clothing AND a bit of a schemer, so it wouldn't be that strange if he killed Strelitzia and planned to take her place as a backup plan depending on how the upcoming war went. When he saw the war going south he
Brain and Gula aren't that different in personality either, or at least based in what little personality we've seen from Gula, they both push boundaries and aren't exactly a stickler for following the rules. Brain and Gula also both said the same thing, that Skuld reminds them of Ava. It's not like we know what Gula looks like or Brain sounds like so it's pretty plausible that Gula could have infiltrated as Brain. Of course this would absolutely make Gula the traitor and it seems like a very MoM thing to do, sending the traitor off to find the traitor thus causing him to spiral into depression at his failure to locate the traitor. Which becomes the very thing that makes him betray everyone to begin with.
Unrelated but reading over the translations here and with Everglow a thought occurred to me. What if Ventus and Lauriam DON'T travel and aren't Ventus and Marluxia? By that I mean what if the real ones remain here but their data selves are the ones that end up getting thrust through time. You don't even need to create an explanation for their seeming amnesia, you can just say the data versions of them didn't have those memories.

In the reports Xehanort actually precises what he said to Terra in that Ventus was specifically to weak in overall constitution to survive the heart-splitting process unscathed. That combined with Vanitas taking more of Ven's heart as he was supposed to is the explanation as to why Ven nearly died.
I think it is more like that Xehanort sensed enough Darkness in Ventus that he deemed strong/deep enough to be further nurtured and eventually use to have Ven succumb to it. Notice how in the flashback Xehanort first goads Ven into accessing and using his Darkness which Ven adamantly refuses.
After Ven is nearly killed by the Neoshadows a disgruntled Xehanort assesses in some sort of disbelief that Ventus would apparently rather die than fall to Darkness.
Xehanort says about Terra as well that he is "well-intentioned" and it is certainly true, there is no "evil" or even malicious intent anywhere in Terra, but the Darkness present is sufficient enough for Xehanort to work with and try to manipulate.
I remember Spockanort already pointing out somewhere that while Ven's Darkness was a quarter of his heart and rather strong/deep it doesn't indicate anything about that Darkness' nature. Vanitas is mainly the way he is due to Xehanort's "care" for four years and the depth of Ven's darkness before the heart split can also come from non-malicious negative emotions and experiences like general trauma (he did witness the war after all and could have a case of survivor's guilt), fear and general issues of low self-worth and insecurity. In the flashbacks with Xehanort he is very fearful after all and his Ux-self is a timid, shy and reluctant boy.

Uh, you know, now that you mention Gula I remember his final words to the Player avatar in the Keyblade War, which was something along the lines of "maybe we'll meet again", similar to what the Nightmare Chirithy said.
We know absolutely nothing about the actual climax and end of the Keyblade War and what happened to the individual Foretellers as Browser Chi only addressed the beginning stages of the war and the immediate aftermath.
The scene with Luxu in 0.2 also shows part of the aftermath, so the possibility that Gula survived somehow is there.
In Back Cover during his last appearance Gula is seen to be desperate and willing to resort to drastic measures, yet when Player Avatar and Skuld confront him later he seems to be resigned and even shares information from the Book of Prophecies with them.
Still, that doesn't mean he would not possibly think of a backup plan and maybe try to summon Kingdom Hearts again from within the Unchained Realm, either to reach his supposed goal of calling back the Master or to use KHs power to restore the old world.

You make viable points. The only problem that I have with this theory is that "all" of the Foretellers disappeared, and this theory contradicts that if Brain is Gula.
I'm still under the belief that Brain is Young Eraqus. Eraqus was not shy of potentially killing Ventus for what he conceived to be the greater good in Birth by Sleep. It could also give greater context as to why Eraqus finds darkness to be such a hazard, and why he was overbearingly concerned about Terra's darkness. He may have seen his younger reckless self through Terra, hence his behaviour to have Aqua keep tabs on him.
Also, Brain's design does make a striking resemblance to Eraqus. Eraqus is the anagram of Square, and Square Enix is the brains of the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

You know what, that could be entirely possible. If you think about it, the killer was able to survive beyond the events of the Keyblade War. Who said that the killer had to be one of the new Union leaders? sure, one of them isn't really supposed to be there, but that may not mean that they directly did it.
If another person tagged along with the fraudulent Dandelion, then that makes two people who were supposed to die off in The Keyblade War as opposed to one.

Laurium is almost certainly looking for Strelitzia. He can't find her because she was murdered before the world ended, meaning her data probably didn't get copied and carried over. He seeks out Elrena to ask about Strelitzia because she was probably her friend and he has no other leads.

Another thing to note is that when Luxu told Ava who is the traitor, she didn't only rebuke it out of disbelief. She actually snaps and attack him (which what starts the main keyblade war). Again, Gula and Ava are close and it would make sense if she disbelief HE is the traitor that much.
Oh man, what if the twist is that Lauriam doesn't have it but a third party (the killer) does

Correct me if I remember wrongly on this, but I recall Lauriam so far never being shown holding one of the green rule books, neither during the first meeting in the Keyblade Graveyard (where only Blaine shows off one), the meeting about the spirits/splitting of the Unions (where I don't remember anyone taking out their green book) and the most recent one where everyone except Lauriam (who isn't present) takes out their book.
Impostor or deliberate Infiltrator? The five leaders are the only ones supposed to know the overall truth and have recources at their disposal no one else has, so becoming part of that group could be very important for someone even if they aren't Strelitzia's direct killer.
If only four books are present among the five right now that would prove a third party has one but not prove that they are the killer since as already said, it is possible that the killer passed on the book to someone else in the meantime, when having illusion powers probably even as Ava while doing it and thus rousing no suspicions.
In that case the one of the five who isn't supposed to be there wouldn't even know that they are taking someone else's place.
What would Blaine want with two green rule books though? In all should be written the same stuff, shouldn't it? There isn't yet the topic of yet another lost page on the table, is it?
If Laurium is her brother, maybe she told him everything? Which is why he shows up her in her place and all and why he's unwilling to tell any of them exactly who he's looking for and why? I can't imagine Ava chose both siblings to be a leader, so maybe Laurium is technically the intruder, but he's there to spy/figure out what happened to his sister?
I can see Strelitzia spilling the beans even if she was supposed not to, although in her scenes she seems to be worried more about the Player Avatar than anyone else.
Yet there she is also willing to at least partly break the rule of secrecy imposed on the whole thing and her Chirithy clearly doesn't like that.
A few scenes later the Chirithy even questions if she's qualified enough to be an Union Leader:
"She… a Union Leader… really?"
So there is definitely a pattern to it which would make it in-character for Strelitzia to tell everything about her being chosen as a leader to her sibling, regardless if it's Elrena or Lauriam as both could open up yet more paths this story could go, the one you mention being one of them.
Worse, if Strelitzia spills the beans somewhere outside it is possible that someone overheard it who shouldn't be trusted which such an information. I remember it being stated in the opening parts of at least Browser Chi (I dunno if Ux has it too) that among the Keyblade Wielders are some who are Seekers of Darkness in disguise.

"Disappeared" does not have to mean being wiped out or completely erased from existence. The Master of Masters disappeared too and there are still people who believe it is possible to bring him back, most of all Gula who in his desperation thought that by summoning KH he could get the MoMs attention and goad him into coming back.
No one knows he is Gula if that theory has merit so he would still be "gone".

You know, I now think that most people assumed that one killed strelitizia is the previous foreteller because he/she wanted to become a new dandelion leader but now I have doubts about it. You know, they previously were leader themselves so I think that they will be more familiar with the things inside the leaders room than the new ones and I see no benefits if their purpose are just to obtain information. I know that maybe he/she wanted to obtain BoP so he/she need to disguise as a new leader first. But imo it is not a must for the imposter to do that. Then I think about other possible purpose, that is to create chaos among the new leaders for them to fight around themselves. If that is the purpose, they don't need to become a new leader themselves. There is one possible scenario for this, first killed strelitizia, take her book, pose as Ava and give the book to non-leader which I think will inevitably create the leaders to be suspicious of each other and later just needs to take the new leaders book. Just my thought, though.

As I said, I was watching someone else watch the cutscenes. They have various characters around the video they're watching and I was too lazy to screenshot it from the original video.
Why are people so persistent in tying the KH3 worlds into the Strelitzia situation? Rarely have the org members had deep deep connections to the world they were involved in. That's not to say I hope they are more integrated in the future, but it's not a requirement.

I’d rather the history of these characters be relevant to their present day goals and motivations than for it to be ignored due to contrived reasons like memory loss, etc. KH2 would have been better if the Organization members had some sort of meaningful connection to the worlds they were in rather than just using them as backgrounds for their shenanigans. It allows for the Org members to be more fleshed out when we encounter them and it keeps the Disney worlds from just being filler with no original plot or character development. At the very least, it’s poetic to have some thematic parallels, even if they aren’t brought up outright.
Also, we already know there will be a subplot in KH3 involving Ventus that ties into UX and this current story in UX was written by the KH3 team, so it isn’t that outlandish to think the histories of the other UX characters will be important in 3. Strelitzia seems to be a big part of those histories, so I can see her coming up in some capacity.
I don't remember it being confirmed that Ven's past in Chi would come up in KH3. The only thing we know about the Chi-KH3 connection is the box, right? At this point, I'm almost positive everything we've seen with Ven, Laurium, and Larxene is not going to play a huge role in KH3's story.
And I agree, I've always felt KH2's storytelling was a mess including how the organization was integrated. At the same time, I don't think we should force ourselves to make a connection at this point. They kinda have the 'world' they're in charge of.
Larxene and Marluxia are both very manipulative people, and both Frozen and Tangled featured some of the most manipulative villains in Disney. Marly makes a ton of sense in Tangled due to the whole flower theme and he has a history of manipulating young girls with their own fears and doubts. Larxene is a good fit for Frozen because she knows exactly what to say to rile someone up and cut them deep (and also plays on fears and doubts). Neither of them need a sister to make them effective characters in their future world so... I don't know. The strength in which people have attached themselves to this Frozen thing is weird to me.

Since we don't know what happened at the climax of the Keyblade War the actual fate of the Foretellers including Gula is murky, but it isn't out of the question that he somehow survived, if not in his own body then perhaps by transferring his heart elsewhere.
One has to remember that transferring your own or someone else's heart is an ability every true Keyblade Master can learn, it's not something exclusive to Xehanort.
If Gula is still around in some form he may indeed try to continue follow his plan to gather enough Lux to summon Kingdom Hearts, now perhaps with the additional motivation to somehow undo the tragedy that happened.
In order to do so without being immediately noticed though he would need to blend in for quite a while and thus also need to know the rule sets of the new leaders hence why he would need to read one of the green books at least once.
Just because only Ava is shown to have illusory powers doesn't mean that she is definitely the only one in the X-era to possess them.
We know neither the context of where that weird pillar world is nor to whom that Chirithy belongs so everything is up in the air.
This Chirithy being present alone hints towards some direct connections with Chi though.
