KINGDOM HEARTS Union X will be celebrating the 1st anniversary of its update from Unchained X this month, bringing along a slew of changes and updates!
Sephiroth [EX modified] will be making his debut from 3/1~3/12 as the first Tier 8 medal! This medal is voiced and changes BGM when set as the partner medal. It comes with 5 ability slots filled, is capable of 150~230% Guilt, has 3 trait slots and grants 80 pet points.
This medal is not guaranteed, but its Dedicated Awakening Medal is a 5-pull mercy.
Sephiroth [EX modified] [All Targets | 4 SP cost] For 1 turn: Decreases enemy Reverse Defense by 2 and Power Defense by 7. Inflicts 3 hits that deal more damage with more HP
Each draw guarantees 1 of the following returning Premiums, 10 VIP coins and a bonus Cid5:
Pete HD Ver [All Targets, 4 SP cost] For 1 turn: Increases Reverse ATK by 1 and decreases enemy Defense by 3. Inflicts 4 hits that deal more damage when set later in the deck
Leon KHII HD Ver [All Targets | 4 SP cost] For 1 turn: Increases Upright Attack by 1 and decreases enemy Defense by 3. Inflicts 8 hits that deal more damage when set in the 6th slot of the deck
Riku Days Black Coat Ver [All Targets | 4 SP cost] For 1 turn: Increases Upright Attack by 1 and decreases enemy Defense by 3. Inflicts 8 hits that deal more damage when set in the 3rd slot of the deck
Sora FinalF HD Ver [All Targets | 4 SP cost] For 1 turn: Increases Upright Attack by 1, decreases enemy Defense by 3. Inflicts 8 hits that deal more damage when set in the 5th slot of the deck
Zexion HD [All Targets | 3 SP] For 2 turns: Increases PSM Attack by 4 and PSM Defense by 2, decreases enemy Attack by 1 and Defense by 1. Inflicts 7 hits that deal more damage with more SP
Larxene HD Ver [All Targets | 4 SP cost] Decreases enemy Defense by 3 for 1 attack, inflicts 3 hits that deal more damage the more SP has been used this turn
March 2018's Coliseum Board offers the Cupcake Cap and introduces a new skill obtainable from rankings: Lux & ATK XL III 100%!
Changes to Coliseum:
- Coliseum coins obtained after clearing each round can now be collected after clearing each rank
- Turns skipped with a 1-turn finish have been increased

Monthly Magic Stone Quest updated for 3/1~3/31! Clear 5 quests to earn 1 Sword Stone, 2 Wing Stones and 2 Mystic Stones.
The Unlimited Play campaign has been updated to include parameters for Guilt 8:

So that's the trick of the Awakening medals, we won't get guaranteed draws for new medals anymore, you'll just get a useless version as consolation prize.
You have to think of it this way, though. People who *do* pull the medal will get a guaranteed trait roll in just five pulls. It is, of course, useless for people who don't pull the medal, but incredibly beneficial for those who do.
Anyway, glad to see a new pet type. Still waiting for my horse/unicorn/pegasus, though!

At least it's some new content. I'm not really a fan of reverse medals to be honest, so will not get the Sephiroth. It's not even a mercy to begin with, so i'll wait for my Riku EX for now.
I guess this Sephiroth is pretty good in reverse setups, but right now we don't have a mega ton of high-damage reverse medals.

As someone whose Reverse decks are utter and complete hot garbage, this is an easy pass for me.
Skills in the avatar boards aren't great, but it's nice to see that not all of them will be locked behind a paywall. I guess we were overdue for some less-than-ideal boards after the amazing Peter Pan and Valentine Rose boards.
More jewel events are fantastic though :)

I heavily dislike the Dedicated Awakening system. Yes, might be nice if you pull the medal but it's a useless mercy if you don't. It's another step in whale direction and away from the player who could profit a lot more from an actual mercy medal. That said, Sena will absorb this idea in an instant.
Speaking of medals, I really can't see those 6 (and Auron) anymore, I'm really tired of them, but that's not the fault of JP, but of Global who has been feeding us the same medals over several weeks now. While on the one hand it's comfortable for trait rolling, on the other hand they are quite limited in their usefulness because of their restrictions.
I consider the monkey the cutest pet yet and it's nice that you can get it in JP relatively easy which means we'll probably get it as VIP content. The color is awful though, why not stick to brown? So I can give my future Trunks bae a monkey to his side.
[SIZE=3][SIZE=2]The coliseum changes are nice, but don't really make it any more fun. That cupcake head is horrible, reminds me of Noctis' ramen hat that was funny for a second and grew incredibly ugly afterwards.
I wonder whether those 3000 jewels will make it to Global ... the quiz definitely won't. So many free jewels in JP, sigh. Salt everywhere. xD

Ideally, they should also give EX medals a mercy pull if they insist on including the Awakening medals as a consolation prize, otherwise it's just the biggest insult.
Imagine getting so excited that you pulled an EX medal with a status bonus, and then realizing it's grey. It's hilarious to see, but when it happens to you... :(

The fact that the medal is not guaranteed in any number of pulls is not good... But this banner right here, it means that IF you - anyone, not just whales - pull the medal, you have a guaranteed trait roll in a short number of pulls. This is really good.
When I pulled my Sephiroth EX there was no chance of me getting trait rolls at all. Trait rolls on such a medal were for lucky whales. But with this banner, you are guaranteed a trait roll in x number of pulls.

THANK YOU!!! Dragoon and Red Mage are Boards, thank goodness for that. Hoping we see them tomorrow here as well, along with that 3k Jewel challenge there. Gods know we could all use those in Global.
Please let us get that Coli Update! Dear Gods, I could really use those larger vaults. 99 Rounds for T14 would be a godsend.
Man, Sephy EX2 looks really nice. Definitely more of a 3rd (or 4th if HD Xion is 3rd) slot Medal given his Reversed Debuff. Though considering how I'm working on my decks (Fenrir is best Upright, Diamond Dust is best Reversed), imma want whoever the Magic version of him will be, so Sephy's banner will be a pass. Still trying to get iXEX from the Drawer banner anywho (and it's nice for picking up Medals in general). Guilted HD Namine today, really happy about that. Will be a major help in Upright Magic sets.

Tbh I don't get why the actual medal doesn't stay a 15p mercy. Its still much but at least then you'd have one full set of trait rolls.
