if it comes to ps4, its very possible comes to other plataforms, cause digital laws, etc etc, should be solved before come to ps4.

But yay, no FF worlds. Finally, a confirmation. But SE, pls, stop putting them in the same worlds. Please start integrating them into the actual Disney worlds. Seeing Cloud, Hercules, and Sora interact together was pretty awesome, as well as with Auron.

I'm totally in agreement with this. While there could be more story reasons as to why the FF characters stay in the same worlds, seemingly the point of having the series as a crossover from a storytelling level is to have them directly interact with each other. Granted, they have done it, but it would be really cool to see it done on more occasions.

I was never one wanting FF worlds in KH so I'm totally fine with no FF worlds in KH3.

As for 1.5/2.5 on PS4, I sure hope so. Tai Yasue's answer here leads me to believe they may in fact be working on them, as he gave an extremely similar answer when questioned about the existence of 2.5 back in the day, what with the whole "it's possible, it depends on the fans, but we're not announcing anything right now".

Omg when she tweeted that Tai Yasue knows about the KH book she wrote I was so excited for her! She did a great job and got recognition for it from the Co-Director of the series!! Well deserved

So 1.5 and 2.5 are PS4 possibilities? Excellent. One more less reason to hang onto the PS3.

Quick question:
If one would get the PS4 variants of 1.5 and 2.5 does that mean another set of trophies for the PS4 versions or do the ones you've earned for the PS3 variants count for the PS4 variants as well.

In the latter case, the PS4 variants of these would for me personally most interesting for the capability of directly taking screenshots.

I also really cracked up about the "Final Fantasy worlds" thing as Nomura had already made clear from Day one that there will be no actual Final Fantasy worlds in KH at all since the FF characters are meant to be alternate versions used in different environments.
It's one of these issues where I could only shake my head in disbelief even in some forum threads when people continued to bring up this question when the answer was no from the very beginning of the series.
But maybe a refresher answer from Yasue in that regard will finally get the memo around that there is no Midgar, Spira or whatever in the KH universe.

Impossible to tell. This is not a question that can be answered at this present time.

There are some games that have the same trophy list but separate the PS3 and PS4 versions, some where the PS4 have different trophies, and others that combine the PS3 and PS4 lists together.

This is why I asked as I have seen exactly this issue when looking at my own PSN-account.
Games like Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate or Final Fantasy X HD have one trophy list where on Platform there stands PS3/PS4/PSVita while i.e. Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends has only PS3/PSVita standing under Platform but I know there exists a PS4 version of this game as well!

Can somebody tell the Kingdom Hearts team to release 1.5 and 2.5 collection on Xbox One and Nintendo NX too? It'd be really unfair at this point to keep it as a PS4 exclusive. And besides, Square Enix can accumulate more sales if they were to be multi-platform like KH3.

I'd love it though if they could change the requirements for the difficulty trophies in Re:CoM. I haven't gotten those yet.

But then you have Sleeping Dogs and Tomb Raider which had a separate list on PS4. The group working on the HD Collections might decide to make the lists separate rather than merging them. They could also have merged lists. It's impossible to tell at the moment, especially when Final Fantasy X|X-2 is the only HD remaster from the Japanese studios on PS4 so far.

I'm not sure that why I brought the thing up in the first place. Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends does have a distinct list for the PS3/PSVita version and the PS4 version after all as does Diablo III.
There are two "variants" to this and I do not know the criteria for when which variant applies.

It is even more odd when adding in Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires which does the thing like FF X/FF X-2 HD Remaster but is from the same developer and series as DW 8 Xtreme Legends which uses the other variant.

Hah, the not stacking difficulty trophies in 1.5 for both Re: CoM and KH 1 FM should be among the very first things fixed for a possible PS4 variant!

Next year is the 15th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, and also the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy; he told fans to anticipate a lot of features next year relating to those series.

Given that the 15th anniversary of KH is next year and they're already doing the orchestra concert, plus 2.8 will be out by that time, it'd be awesome for them to release 1.5 and 2.5 on PS4 next year to celebrate that, assuming that KH3 isn't coming until March 2018 (which I think is when it'll come out).

How so? The collections came out for PS3, so they probably have already played the other games aside from KH1 and 2.

There's no point at all to doing this. Unless as soon as people got a PS4 they trashed their PS3's which would have been silly on their part.

I'm talking about the people who didn't bother playing the other games and collections. They'd be whining about how they still don't have KH3 and how they've been "waiting 10 years" for it.

Thank you for clarifying, because as somebody that has played every game and collection this news upsets me. Cause I wasted money on these collections only to here they'll be out on PS4, and even before KH III.

The only way I will be fine with this news if they reveal it's been worked on this whole time and they're gonna release it early 2017(ala Resident Evil VII, not a peep and now it's even got a release date). Like a couple months after FCP and then give us KH III at the end of the year.

E3 2017 is probably gonna focus on the releasing later that year KH III and FF-7 Remake Part 1 which is awesome.

I think they need to give fans a release date for KH III. Sooner rather than later. I hope that is what's coming in December.

It's Disney, and this a massive anticipated title. They're do what they always do. Especially with how big they are now which is easily more than they were 10 years ago.

Why would anyone scream if a game is re-released? Like, no one forces them to buy it and no one says it's gonna heavily delay the production of KH3.
We've been "waiting" for this game for so long. If I have to wait a few months longer but may enjoy 1.5 and 2.5 with better loading times and less bugs - hell yeah, I'd love it.

Remastering the previous games in the series is not a "cop out". Business-wise, it would make perfect sense. What better way to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the series than to announce that the entire series is finally all available on a single platform? It would only be a cop out if they used the re-release as an excuse to push back the release of KH3.

It would make more sense from a business perspective to do it prior to KH3 in order to boost sales. I also highly doubt there'll be a release date for KH3 in December. I agree, but if releasing KH3 in 2017 results in it being rushed at all, I would prefer them not release it next year. I'd prefer KH3 skip the series' 15th anniversary and release in 2018 a polished game than release next year with issues and bugs.

I agree that it would not be a cop out, but I'm unsure it would be completely necessary. I'm unsure if I personally purchase them all again (as I'm literally going through KH 2.5 again now myself), and I think that's something they would have to look at on a wider scale, as how many people would choose to upgrade again, and how many people haven't played them at all and would buy them now. There's all sorts of analytics that go into it more so than just it all being available on the same console, but it could definitely be seen as a plus. The way it was worded, I took it as they may not know if it makes sense for them to do it yet, but I certainly would not complain if they did, so long as it doesn't affect KH3. You could totally be right and it could for sure work out for them, though, but it's strange to think that they would remaster them so soon. Square has done strange for quite a while though, so I could be totally wrong.

I 100% agree with you here, as we won't get a release date for KH3 in December. The game is farther off than Spring 2017, so there's no chance they announce some far off release like 9/22/17 and then it has to be pushed back or they have to sit on a finished game for a month or two because they were too quick to jump on an announcement. I think at most, we'll get a release year, and MAYBE, at best, a season, such as Fall 2017, Spring 2018, etc. Unless I missed something, we have no knowledge on how far the game is into development, so we have no way to truly predict an accurate month or anything like that, but I say we don't see a release date in December. Considering we still don't have an exact date for 2.8 and it's only 5 1/2 months or so out, I'm totally with you that we won't see a release date for 3 announced that soon.

This is the best point, out of many good points, that you've made. I'd love to have KH3 next year, and we very well might, but I'd be happier to have it the next year, or even in 2019, as long is it is good. I really want to enjoy it, and if that means waiting a little longer, then that's cool with me.

I'm not sure if I'd get the PS4 versions if it was the same thing just on a new consol, considering I already bought 1.5 twice. (Got the collectors edition of 2.5). What would definitely make me get Ps4 remasters is (and this is a far-fetched idea, so don't think I seriously expect this to happen) if they rebuilt them from the ground up using UE4 so all the games looked like 0.2 and 3. Like I said. I know it won't happen, but that would definitely cause me to get them again. I mean, without a drastic change, how much more HD can the games look compared to 1.5 and 2.5?

well if they brought the framerate to 60fps, fixed the glitches and trophies, compiled the games onto one collection with a sweet CE and made a deal for buyers of the ps3 remixes, it would be worth it all damn day.

I would love to eventually see the entire Xehanort / SoD Saga in one collection. The HD remaster bundles were a step in this direction. If they could combine 1.5 and 2.5 for the PS4 like they've suggested as a possibility, that would be wonderful. I still haven't gotten around to playing them on the PS3, and my PS3 is a relic at this point. I'd feel much more comfortable playing the series on my next-gen hardware.

I'm exactly the same. I'd be so so so happy to have the collections on PS4. It would just feel right at this point, although I'd never stop playing them.

the only drawback to 2.5 was playing with a ps3 controller. and the loading times/framerate drops and glitches.
