Wow! Midnight Kingdom has an extremely large demo report of the World Hobby Fair awhile back. The two demos included Halloween Town and a Riku VS Vexen boss battle. Each demo was about ten minutes long.
Demos
Sora's Chapter: Halloween Town
-You start off in a strange room.
-Some cutscenes appear.
-There's a new cutscene.
-There's a new gimmick that's hard to beat. (?)
-The fountain in the town's square bats at Sora just like in KH2.
-Also, the water fountain jets out water when you approach it.
-Very dangerous when trying not to get hit by the fountain.
-The guillotine bats around at Sora too.
-Just like in KH2, the guillotine's blade slices down. It slices when Sora's being knocked against it. (<--- Wherever MK wanted to hit the guillotine.)
-The Halloween Town pumpkins' effects have changed even though they were also in CoM.
-You can lift pumpkins with the triangle button. You can also thrown them.
-MK had the pumpkin explode on Sora. The pumpkin was forced to be thrown out.
-It's unconfirmed as to what happens when throwing the pumpkin towards a heartless.
-There are some items rewarded for using a gimmick but since MK didn't use a gimmick, HP balls came out.
-The Moogle Points appear to have come out along with the HP balls which surprised MK thinking an HP recovery was supposed to happen.
A new map card is confirmed:
-It's called "Bottomless in the Dark" or the "The Bottomless Dark".
-The card has a jet black illustration (hence its name).
-The card category is red.
-It is a dark pitch-dark room. The battlefield is also pitch-dark. Only a shadow heartless appeared in the battlefield so far.
-The amount of enemies who appear in this room are significant, thus, MK believes that the enemy card rate is also increased. (Good for the people who need certain number cards, eh?)
-MK rated the place three stars for both amount of enemy and the area itself.
The roulette room:
-It appears when a red, green, and blue card are drawn.
-MK's card category is red.
-It is a room where the "Roulette prize" is dropped when an enemy is defeated.
-There are chances where the item isn't dropped so easily.
-When the "Roulette prize" is picked up, you are able to select the map card obtained after the battle with the roulette.
-The map card is random so its numerical value can be chosen from each battle.
-MK forgot about the appearance rate of the enemies and the area.
Stock technique:
-If you use "Fire Burst!", the attack starts off with a launch (throw) of the keyblade at the heartless, then there's this burst off fire that comes down raining, and the fire attacks the heartless.
-The movement condition is "Fire ---> Fire ---> Gravity". It doesn't deal with the enemy who just appeared but it can attack at a wide range. It might be a unit's technique.
MK Personal Notes:
-MK notes that Sora's in his Halloween Town outfit while Donald and Goofy are in the friend card modes but also don their Halloween Town costumes.
-The Oogie Boogie boss battle has been smoothly cleared by MK.
-The destruction of Oogie's dice takes some time to destroy.
-"Lovely.." is being called repeatedly to Sora (from MK?) for obtaining the Oogie Boogie card at the end.
Riku's Chapter: Vexen boss battle
-The cutscene addition comes with voice and a battle.
-It almost omits the fact that there was a CoM for the GBA because it's all the same.
-Riku did not find a new technique yet, even with Vexen. (The shock technique cannot be used normally.)
-"Slide Hit" - Ice is used in such an execution that it's hold up like a large sword and attacks.
-The movement condition is "Magic card --> Magic card --> Attack card"
-Although, "freeze" isn't a new technique, it destroys the opposing group with good execution.
-MK felt, to be honest, that the boss battle was considerably hard. He/she thought it was scary but has managed to clear it.
-It would definitely be easy only if you're able to gaurd Vexen's attack and hit the attack back at Vexen.
-MK felt that Riku's Dark mode is strong. About half of Riku's HP bar was decreased by the time, Riku's dark-mode kicked into action.
-Riku's expression after obtaining Vexen's card is...........saucy? What!?
-MK ends the report with "It is good." =]
