By far the most iconic moment within the manga series has to be in the 358/2 Days series where Roxas is getting to know Xion and are on one of their first missions together. Roxas obtains a stick to use as a weapon, when Xion says, "Roxas, that's a stick." Not only is this famous within the manga, but it is a highly recognized and heavily joked upon scene in the game. This moment represents the joking friendship between the two protagonists of the game and book series and demonstrates how comfortable they become with each other. This moment yields great nostalgia and acts as an unforgettable funny moment, especially provided the incredible and dramatic artwork of the Kingdom Hearts Manga series.

In all honesty my favorite part of the kh manga series would be where Donald and Goofy tell Sora to only make happy faces and Sora makes that really dumb but funny face and Donald and Goofy laugh at him. That's my favorite part out of the entire manga franchise.

My favourite manga moment? Mhhh.

There are a few, but I'll go with the Larxene fight in the second volume of CoM: I love that kind of slapstick comedy.
Especially when Sora Donald and Goofy activate Trinity all serious, only to be caught up in Larxene's shock prison.
Then they have a strategic meeting and Sora shouts to Larxene: "Playtime's over!" and she responds "I should be the one to say that." (or something like that, I'm ad-libbing from the italian version).

The manga gets a lot of hatred, but I really dig the comedy.

I usually don't take part in this neat event because I live outside the States and I don't have a domestic address to give, so I figured I'd let others get the prizes. I take part now for the Awards because they would be nice.

i so far have only finished reading the kingdom hearts 1, and CoM mangas i still have to read through 358/2 and KH2 (i have them i just have yet to read them) that being said honestly i love the part where sora's talking to cid while hes on the gummi ship, it gave a little extra bit of detail which i found to be pretty neat like i always wondered... we trail back and forth to traverse town why don't we just radio them, so i liked seeing that scene ^_^

Mine is obviously Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix. I think it's where the story really takes off and the Organization XIII were great villains.

The combat is also the best in the series. The fluidity of Sora's movementsis incredible and with the magic attacks,crazy combos, drive forms, summons and limits, you have countless ways to defeat your enemies in amazing and flashy ways.

Sora's mobility is also at its best, with all the different movement abilities that you obtain from leveling the drive forms.

Let's talk about those drive forms actually. A great way to turn the tides of battle with enough drives gauges at your disposal, and a great change of pace for the gameplay,allowing Sora to even wield two keyblades. This is one of the greatest mechanics the series has had,and I'm glad that it's coming back in KH3.

The worlds are just as amazing. With beautiful and detailed landscapes,you feel like you really are travelling through Disney movies,and the world choice for the game is also great, such as Space Paranoids or Timeless River.

The bosses are really good too,they're all different and are a decent challenge,with the final mix version adding the lingering will,one of the best and most challenging bosses in the series.

Really,I could keep going for hours and hours talking about this game. It's my favourite of all time and the best in the series, and I am still playing it to this day.

One of my favorite moments in the manga was Roxas and Sora's meeting in the KHII manga, and their exchanges during and after their battle. Especially due to the fact that they were both moved to tears which made the moment so much more emotional. The manga did an excellent job of re-telling that moment with an added layer of impact, showing how important each of them are to each other. It's the kind of moment that led to so many of us, myself included, hope and wish for Roxas' return as his own person.

One of my favorite moments from the Kh manga was from the 358/2 days manga. Roxas began to ask Lexeaus what is a heart. Lexeaus told him that he will find out soon enough and that the organization is relying on Roxas to complete his mission. What made it memorable is that Lexeaus was calm and straight forward unlike Marluxia and Larxene who we know is going to be the traitors and has a hidden agenda. It showed me that Lexeaus is some what of a wise person that can be relied upon. It’s such a shame that Lexeaus was only there for that part then went to castle oblivion

In Kingdom hearts three five eight days over two, book 5. Ch.34

when Axel/lea finds xion to take her back home, she refuses saying that she is doing the right thing by going back with sora.
Axel/lea gets pissed because by this time roxas is leaving the organization as well.
Axel/lea just wants to be able to be friends and hang out with roxas and xion while also wanting to please siax/isa.

Plus I just love that line, "go on you keep running!... But I'll always be there to bring you back!"

What's great about the manga for me is that this is how I got into the series. My favorite part of the manga is probably where roxas and his friends are trying to earn money to get tickets. I feel like it shows a better relationship with roxas and his friends.

The final scene of the KH2 manga, with Riku and Kairi going to look for Sora in the play island and him seeing the paopu drawing. We get a few flashbacks of the whole paopu drawing thing, and then it ends with Sora leaving the secret place to meet with Riku and Kairi.

It's just. A really nice ending. Because it is the ending of the manga, and after the whole journey of KH1, CoM, the first half of KH2, Days and then the rest of KH2, it deserved a nice ending, and the entire last volume is amazing, with this final scene just being such a great way to finish it off.

I really enjoy Sora's relationship with Riku and Kairi, despite how messy it can be in the games, but the manga does an amazing job with it, especially in KH2, and seeing it end with the three of them together was just really good.

(Doing this just for the award thing due to living outside of the US)

My favorite part of the manga series was definitely the Chain of Memories arc. I love how much character they gave to Namine who is also my favorite character. It had small hints of humor while still telling a serious story. Namine got to share some good feelings with herself and towards Sora, who I believe is someone she does like a lot. When Marluxia traps Namine in a wall of roses and describes her feelings of not wanting to hurt Sora has created them was so heartfelt. I also love that we get to see Riku's struggles and issues and how he decided his path in life and saw Sora before going off. It gave a lot of life to a game that personally wasn't my favorite, but made the manga the best/

So far I've only read the KH (1) mangas. I liked the general feeling, not a specific scene though. It was great you had some jokes and laughter in there from time to time.

Also, the Days mangas are already waiting for me. A goos friend tols me for years now how great they were and Finally got them for me for my birthday haha So I'm excited for that :)

The thing I like most about the manga is that Amano took liberties with the story, making it feel distinct from the games.
The novels are unfortunately faithful, they don't feel like a new experience as much.

Amano's artstyle perfectly conveys the tone he wants to achieve and it fits KH really well. In some ways, arguably more than even Nomura's.

I like that for 358/2 Days, Amano placed a larger emphasis on the interactions between Organization members, even including the Dusks doing menial labor around the castle. That's the kind of thing I think a lot of fans wanted out of the game, but didn't get.
A part of me feels like that story suits a manga much more than it does a game.

But my favorite, singular moment is probably when Kairi gets her Keyblade in KHII. It's a cool scene and if I don't get a berserker Kairi in KHIII I swear to God I'll--
Anyway, the manga in general is really fun and it makes me sad that we won't get more of it.

Mine would have to be that time Yuffie says " where's my cheesecake?" when Cid is putting all the food in that one stew. XD Just the expressions and the reactions combined with that line made me laugh. I'd request the digital awards if I win, as I already have that book.

my favorite part about the manga has to be the characterization. any 2 dimensional characters is brought to life and given so much personality with true to form writing that is vastly superior to the games they’re based upon, kairi goes from damsel in distress to a hero deserving the keyblade thanks to amano’s deft hand; the only disappointing aspect of his adaptions are when they end.

I have so many favorite moments from the manga series, because Shiro Amano has done such a great job adapting the games. Such as KH2, a game with...less than stellar writing, and putting the liberties he takes to the series into maximum overdrive, giving something that barely resembles the original but is better than it in almost every way. The KH manga is something that even non-KH fans can enjoy.

But the first moment that comes to mind would be the entirety of Kairi's great escape. I particularly find it funny that Amano made the bars closer to each other than how they are in the game. But of course, if he kept them far apart we then wouldn't have Kairi being stuck and resorting to wiggling at Dusks. But the entire escape sequence with Kairi actually doing something, interaction between Saix and Demyx (I just realized that I don't think those two ever said one word to each other in the games at all!), and the interaction between Demyx and Kairi especially is something KH2 needed. The heroes and villains never really interact aside from "I"m stopping your evil stuff!" "I'm evil and will do the stuff." and Demyx was treated very well in the manga in the sense that while he's there for comedy, he adds to the story and has a lot of sympathetic moments like when he begs for Kairi to stay kidnapped and thanks her when she's back in her cell.

It's things like this why I wish Shiro Amano was a writer for the games.

As a child, I grew up with two things: Nintendo consoles and old Carl Barks and Don Rosa Duck family comic books. So with the former being true, I didn't have a chance to play any of the original Kingdom Hearts games on the PS2. And I didn't even know what Kingdom Hearts was. So as a little kid, walking through the comic and manga section of a book store, I was surprised to see my favorite character on the cover of a manga with a spiky haired boy with a giant key. The KH manga was my first introduction into the world of Kingdom Hearts. I was enthralled by the worlds created by the amazing manga team. I loved every panel and joke they made. But as time passed, the release of the manga slowed down and halted altogether. So I started playing the games and began falling in love with Kingdom Hearts more and more. But I always wanted to see what would happen if the KH manga series got to finish what it began.

A few years ago, I was chilling reading over recent news going over things related to my life, when I noticed in a thread that the Kingdom Hearts Manga was going to not only resume production, but also finish off the story that had been long left in limbo for years. I was super excited. They had announced the release of the 358/2 Days manga, which excited me a lot, and the release and completion of what was left of the KH2 manga. I felt like a kid again. And when the final volume of KH2 manga was released, I was so happy. The manga series that led me to what is by far and away my favorite series of video games of all time reached completion after having been left alone for so long, I was happy. It was truly amazing and I'm super glad that I picked up a random manga book in a book store all those years ago.

As far as specific moments go, I really loved the moments in Chain of Memories that showcased how much pain each of the characters were going through due to the fact that they were losing their memories. Also, I loved in the 358/2 Days manga how they really showcased how much of an impact that the loss of Xion had on the characters. Axel couldn't remember anything regarding his battle with her and Roxas was losing his memories of her so quickly. In contrast to the game itself, I felt more of a connection and a sense of loss when Roxas lost the last strands of memories he had with Xion.

Long I know, but I really enjoyed this series, and it holds a special place in my heart since it introduced me to the amazing world of Kingdom Hearts.

My favorite moment(s) in the KH manga is Kairi in the KH2 one.

She has more of a personality and the part with the dusks while she's trying to break out of the cage always makes me laugh.

I don't remember how she is much in the KH1 manga because I haven't read it in forever.

My favorite part would have to be in the final chapters in the Chain of Memories Manga when Riku fought Zexion and Ansem. That scene shows Riku's guilt and him overcoming his guilt and slaying his darkness by stabbing Ansem, the monster he despise, in the chest. This kind of reminds of how anime characters would do when facing personal issues about their past and what they did. This is like a similar feeling Hiro Mashima Fairy Tail, when Erza Scarlet revealed the truth about Kagura Mikazuchi's brother Simon during the final day of The Grand Magic Games. :smile:

My fave moment I've seen in the manga is Kairi attempting to break out of the prison in TWTNW. It's such a great commentary on the game's scene. In the game she is a standard boring damsel without much going on in this prison with bars she can definitely get through, while the manga expounds this issue by showing her try but being TOO THICC to get through. Also her interaction with the dusk is fun. Manga writers and game writers should collab!

I love this moment because it doesn't seem out of character for these three. [SPOILER](Even if they are simulations of the real Hayner, Pence, and Olette.)[/SPOILER] When interacting with Roxas in-game they have similar banter, in which throwing Roxas under the bus is an implied running gag in the group.

And I love how Amano reinforces this this bit of characterization given in the original game and utilizes it in the manga. It feels totally natural for Olette and Pence to place bets on Roxas for their lunches. Food (paopu fruit, sea salt ice cream) is the usual bonding items in the game, and Amano plays around with this throughout the entire manga adaptation.

But this moment in particular sticks out to me since it's practically in character with the original game counterparts, and of course it makes me laugh out loud every time. Pence betting on Roxas immediately since he lost the last bet is funny in itself, but then Olette passionately casting her vote for Vivi despite not believing in Vivi winning is just...You go girl, even if you might lose all your dumplings, you're not going to take it quietly.

I guess the humor is my favorite thing about the manga adaptations in general. Besides that, I always look forward to how the various Disney characters will turn out in Amano's style.[/FONT]

Definitely in the KH II manga where we get to follow Roxas' beginning. Just that simple line when he says he had another dream about Sora. That little moment of knowing Roxas' time is coming to an end. Even though all the moments there after in the Days Manga were even more heartbreaking and bittersweet, there's just something about the first few chapters that always get to me. Roxas being fleshed out properly as a complex and three dimensional protagonist, hanging out with the gang and just! being teens and silly! Hoping for those summer days to never end. Amano drew it in such a way that when Roxas begins to see his world crumble around him little by little you honestly feel just how lost and confused he is. It's done exceptionally well and just makes my heart hurt, truly amazing storytelling to hit you so strongly like that.

I love the entire Kingdom Hearts manga series as a whole thanks to its humor and great artwork, but I really love how they did Re:Chains of Memories and 358/3 days, because these are not my favorite Kingdom Hearts games but i love how they give Re:Chain a greedier twist making the organization seem like real villains and i love how in Days they develop each organization member more and we see a closer relationship between Roxas, Axel, and Xion. But i love the entire manga series and specially the art work and enjoy rereading them now and then.

I really like the moment at the end of chapter 7 of the very first volume, where Goofy and Donald tell Sora their ship runs on smiles. I absolutely love the face that he made. It's essentially the same moment that plays out in the game, but I think it's a fantastic example of how wonderful the illustration in the manga is; the face is much more hilarious, and the illustration throughout the rest of the manga is so well done and allows for all kinds of great situations and meaningful, artful expression.
