There is just a little over a month until KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX- is released in North America and Europe and while the wait has been long, soon everybody will be able to relive their favorite game series after eleven years! Today, Square Enix has released a new trailer, showing off the limited edition artbook that will be released with the game.
KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX- releases September 10th in North America, September 12th in Australia, and September 13th in Europe.

Yeah I recognize all that art from the KH Ultimania, but who knows maybe there'll still be things in there we haven't seen. *crosses fingers*
And it'll be nice to have a book of just the concept art since I can't locate my copy of the Ultimania anyways. ;A;
America hasn't gotten this artwork, so I'm grateful. Sure, I can find it online, even on this site, but there's something about having it on paper that validates it more.

Yeah, there will probably be an art book for KH3 at least, somewhere down the line. All major games get art books these days.
But I won't look a gift horse in the mouth for this one.

yeah this is one of the cooler looking keyblades in kh1 IMO, but its kinda underpowered though unfortunately

Ah, probably why I never used it.
They need to bring back keyblade abilities from KH II. That at least gave some incentive to use weaker keyblades.
Yep, it's spellbinder. You get it from Merlin after learning all the third-tier spells. It's underpowered but it has good magic capabilities.

And it looks cool while Sora is running around, so once you beat the game, I run around with that weapon because it looks awesome (until I got Ultima Weapon).

1 for playing the other for collecting purposes, also just incase the 1st copy messes up
I don't understand why they aren't playing the remastered music in the trailer. That's like a part of the game lol
They want to keep it a surprise? I dunno, but part of me is glad. I wanna hear most of the tracks in the game before I hear them anywhere else.

If you max Sora's strength with strength ups, Spellbinder and Lady Luck stats will match Ultima Weapon's aside from the long reach.
In Final Mix, Diamond Dust is the best Keyblade completionist wise because no other Keyblade has a +3 MP boost.

Yoko and SE Music acknowledged the flood of tweets and Japanese fans backed the idea. Now we just wait to see if they will do something.
I can see an album maybe for both 1.5 and 2.5 if they don't do individual ones.
I can definitely see them doing a compilation of 1.5 and 2.5 considering 1.5 has around 70 songs that were remastered and SE usually has a ton of songs in their collections so I can see them doing both (and maybe including some bonus Chi songs???)

i would love a combination soundtrack of both remixes. I can only think of one song in chi that isnt from other kh games though, the version of dearly beloved at daybreak town

I still listen to "Simple and Clean" even to this day and get pumped everytime i start a new save on KH, having a soundtrack would be a gift from Zeus himself ^-^

At least this trailer is telling us to get a product without telling us to look at another ad for more details on the product.
And the art looks nice and the trailer is very well done. Don't know how much work goes into that "drawing" transition effect but it's a nice touch.

I decided to take a look at the HD Re:Mix page today and I was prompted by this message to preorder now! I almost closed it, but I noticed that there was a preview for the artbook bonus. Maybe this is closer to what the final product will look like? Anyway, it looks nice :0 possibly a hardcover book or just a sleeve.

We have that image in the OP already. Yes, the book is hardcover. It is not a sleeve.

It looks like it's the actual cover (it's hardcover too).
Looking at that early art of Sora again makes me think some pieces are printed on celluloid.
Though it's probably just manipulated so we can see the image underneath.

While if that is the inside of the book (one piece of large art per page) which I kind of expected, like the BbS CE artbook, that cover art is great since I probably won't be opening it up to much so I can admire how pretty it is ^_^

Get an older one from a pawn shop. I regret getting a new one cuz it doesn't play my PS2 games. Maybe see if you can find one in a yard sale somewhere, too. It's so worth it to play this game! YES!

This retails at $200, but I'd expect this particular model to get really cheap in a few months. I don't know if it is really worth it. If you wait for Black Friday, there will be a bunch of REALLY cheap sales on the PS3 since the PS4 will be out/coming out and retailers will be trying to push their old stock of PS3s out.

Yeah, I'd go with waiting for a Black Friday deal on PS3s, or picking up a used one as Chibi suggested.
I don't know if the new model supports actual hard drives. If it doesn't, it's pretty much a terrible investment unless you plan on only having, like, three games. And if it does, you're gonna want that hard drive eventually, so you might as well just buy a model that already has one. :I

EBGames sells refurbished PS3s for around $180 on their website here in Canada.
I bought a 250gb PS3 SuperSlim from FutureShop about a week and a half ago (My 40gb got the YLOD, for the 2nd time), came with 1 year of PSN+, Uncharted 3:GOTY, and LBP: Karting, it was about $270 before taxes.
