At the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour- Encore debut concert on Saturday, Series Director Tetsuya Nomura announced that several trailers would be shown off during E3 2018. The expo has yet to actually begin, but so far we have already seen two: one that has only been seen by attendees of that concert, and another that was unveiled at the Microsoft Conference.
Now, at Square Enix's Showcase, they have unveiled yet another trailer, showing off footage from both trailers combined.

They better have lots of gameplay videos prepared and a ton of interviews to do, because this is depressingly sparse compared to what Nomura was talking about last month. Even if we get another trailer that is completely different, it'll still only be about as much information as D23 earlier this year and that's... worrying.

I'm hoping we'll get something new out of Sony, though. This trailer had a lot of things from the Frozen trailer, so here's hoping they give Kairi and Lea a proper reveal instead of just their backs.

All in all I'm not that disappointed. Didn't really expect much trailer wise. They probably don't want to spoil too much when there is till like 7 months till release.

So where Kairi and Lea in Daybreak Town? I first thought Twilight Town thanks to the sunset but the flowers remind me of Daybreak
I was similarly concerned over the amount of old stuff in the trailer, but at the same time we did get some new sights. I enjoyed seeing how the TT trio are (presumably) reintroduced, and the blip of Kairi and Axel was hype.
Can't wait to see what else they reveal to us, because I (perhaps foolishly!) have faith that there's more of interest to come.

I’ve been curious as to whether or not they have any autonomy, and it doesn’t really appear that way if they’re speaking in turns like that and not missing a beat. Just curious, I always thought it’d be cool to see them have a dynamic since both are Big Bad’s in their own right.
They did tease Kairi's KH3 avatar silhouette in UX, so they should show her before they release the avatar, right?

It was nice seeing the shots from the Orchestra trailer. Maybe my wants were too high but I was rooting for this being the trailer we finally see something Final Fantasy related.
As I think about it, I'm actually okay with them not showing us too much stuff yet. It's 7.5 months to release, and I dislike media being completely spoiled before releasing. This is enough to whet our appetite and get our mental gears turning, which is what a good trailer should do.

Yeah I don't think getting a proper look at the third main protagonist of this series is showing too much of the game in advance but fingers crossed Sony gets it.
I know it's unlikely but I still want Lea and Kairi to be chilling in Hundred Acre Woods with Pooh and Piglet and the others. Kairi comes out having beaten all of Sora's minigame high scores. Real Keyblade Master training.

Just what we all hoped for! Mostly the same trailer everyday with only some of the audio issues fixed each time.

I'm excited.
Pretty disappointed in the lack of new content in this thing, I'll be honest. A good trailer for this should have ended with some sort of cutting edge, but it really didn't since we already were stung by Aqua's words in the last trailer that was almost identical. The new stuff was great, don't get me wrong, but there was a whole lot of backtracking and repetition in this trailer. It was understandable when the gameplay teaser at Mysterious Tower did it in that 2.8 ad because we weren't promised anything and the content itself was at least newly recorded gameplay in those areas, but this just feels like I've been ripped off a little bit.
Only a couple of small things from the stuff in here that I have an actual issue with, really. I know that the lip syncing isn't done yet, but YIKES is that Sora line in the beginning so obviously dubbed! It's embarrassing, actually. I cringe every single time I have heard him go "WOW!" so far because it's so obviously dubbed!
The Ienzo scene was weird, too. Like, Ienzo's model looks flat amazing and his voice sounds great, but why does the camera hold on Pence's face for so long?! It was sooo weird, and it gave me the impression at first that Pence's voice actor was drastically different for some reason. It's just a weird shot and I hope it cuts to Ienzo's actual mouth moving in the game instead of everyone's stupid blank face.
To be honest, I'm really not that angry, just a little bummed since I laid out lots of time today to make sure that I would be here to watch this and it was kind of a waste of my time. Hopefully the Sony one is more enlightening.

Yes!! Two trailers and a release date over the past 3 days. Xigbar, Ienzo, Ratatouille, HPO, Axel and Kairi and a new attraction flow! Along with new dialogue between Ansem, Xemnas and Sora.. So much good stuff!
I don't know why everyone is so disappointed... Yes, we could have seen more, but release is still a ways off... and I don't want to know everything about the game before then! And there was just enough new stuff to get me fangirling. I mean, c'mon! That bit with Roxas! I'm so hyped, there's a real chance my favorite character is making a return. (and I'm sure they wouldn't have shown us that footage if there wasn't going to be some complications between what we saw and them actually getting him back...)

Well, one thing we know now is that the Org wants Roxas back as well.
So. Sora back from Olympus meeting with Riku in KH2 clothing. Probably also after Aquanort encounter. Also, in Twilight Town with Olympus keyblade, but with kinda different modeling and clothing. I'm really starting to think that after Olympus we get a time skip of some sort.
I love the Aquanort twist, BTW. Throws all the fanbase speculation through the window. Everyone had some version of "Riku will save Aqua and then we'll get to Ventus - and they will be the guardians of light" in their heads and now with this simple fact it's all fcked up, lol. It's fun to see people pissed and readjusting their theories/fanfics. Also, this was beautifully written. In 0.2 we saw how hard it was to Acqua to be dealing with her darkness and how that realm was trying to twist her at every turn. It ends on a happy note, obviously - but that's the tragedy of it all. She lost to herself.

From the Classic Kingdom trailer, we could see they redesigned Twilight Town to have more trees and such on the main street. I just think they're adding wildflowers to the grassy areas (such as with Tangled) because they actually can have a lot of detail now.
Daybreak Town wouldn't have a sunset like this. It only ever seems to be nighttime or dawn there.

While that's certainly a possibility, I'm trying to picture where in Radiant Garden would look anything quite like this. In regards to time, not a lot has passed since Kingdom Hearts II, and there wasn't an awful lot of greenery at the time. The majority of the outskirts - like the Great Maw and the old castle - are nothing but a rocky wasteland.

The area does kind of resemble the place where Ava confronts Luxu in X/where Ira speaks with the MoM in Back Cover, but I'd be happy to explore either Daybreak Town or more of Radiant Garden.

I don't think it's Radiant Garden. The flowers and sky remind me too much of Daybreak Town. Plus RG, was never this green.

It's relatively safe to assume so. If he was, he'd likely have been missing in Dream Drop Distance, just as Braig and Isa were.
Also, Sora talking to Ienzo through some sort of phone (maybe that device that plays the Classic Kingdom games?) is simultaneously amusing and cute. I don't know why I think it's cute, but it is. Maybe because the concept of communication devices isn't something the series has dabbled in.
I guess I just think of purple and pint hues when looking at Daybreak Town and this place seems too rosy and red. It's probably just me. I guess Radiant Garden isn't particularly rosy and red either, that description fits Twilight Town or maybe even Destiny Islands.
Radiant Garden in BBS has lots of green, in the Palace Gardens and in lesser quantity around the town and walls, but in general RG is more about water features, fountains and the like together with colorful flowers.
I can't remember RG even in BBS at its "peak" actually having a vast forest and that's what Lea and Kairi are looking at, an incredibly big forest.
Twilight Town is surrounded by such a forest, the old mansion actually is situated in a part of it and from the Sunset Terrace you can look far and see even more forest.
The lighting in the scene is also reminiscent of the dusk sky of Twilight Town.
Daybreak Town however is also surrounded by big forests, and hills. However, the lighting there is either dawn (duh) or sometimes very foggy.

My first impression of seeing Lea and Kairi was that they're in Twilight Town mainly due to the sky and forest. In the distance it looks like there's a building or two, possibly a tower or even a castle, so maybe it's Radiant Garden?

Ienzo looks great! I really like the design of the cellphone as well. Not much as else ha, I mean that Remy mini-game looked super cute. I am hype of course! But I hope we get more tonight?

I said a while back that it could be the perfect place to train. In theory, like a video game mod, they could speed up the data world to run faster than real time and allow them to train faster.

Uh huh. That's what I was thinking too. B/c it's made of data, they could probably manipulate the way time runs relative to other worlds.

Some folks on Twitter checked the Kingdom Hearts YouTube channel again, and the 3 videos are there now. They uploaded the Frozen trailer twice, for some reason. So, we have the Frozen trailer, a reupload of the Frozen trailer, and the Square Showcase trailer. That's all 3 right there. So, it's possible there is no third trailer.

Sony is obviously getting a trailer and it's gonna be catered for Sony fans. So new world will be Atlantis, Jungle Book, or Treasure Planet IMO and we'll see our first look at Kairi, Lea, and Final Fantasy characters old and new. I'll be shocked if we don't see Noctis or Lightning tonight.
BTW does anyone else think we may get a confirmation of Star Wars or Marvel in KH3? Like as a secret boss fight?

I remember Nomura saying in an interview a while back that we’re not getting new FF characters this time because there is so much going on with the original KH characters now, so I doubt we’ll be seeing much of them outside of perhaps the late-stage trailers. In any case, I’m just glad to have something solid to look forward to!

You know, aside from the original plotline for Olympus in III being mainly on Sora coming here to regain the power he lost from the events of DDD, It makes me wonder if the plotline is taking place during the climax of the movie when the Titans and Hades launch their attack on Mt. Olympus or doing its own original take that is exclusive to KH cause in all the games (minus DDD), the storylines for Olympus look to be original when compared to the other Disney worlds that either retell the plot of the movie or have an original story, even though the world has borrowed elements and reenacted a few scenes from the film. (e.g. Hercules training with Phil, Hades sending in Monsters to fight Hercules, Hercules regaining his strength after saving Megara (In II), etc...), so who knows, I'm hoping to see more info on the Hercules' world.

All of the Olympus worlds in the series (except for BBS) take place after the movie, as Hercules is regarded as a hero and Megara no longer works for Hades. Although with that in mind, it doesn't make sense that he could summon Ice Titan in BBS, as the plot of Hercules was that he couldn't unleash the titans until one very specific day. So the series is very liberal with the rules with this movie. He's likely reviving them and not following the plot of the movie, but taking the "capture Olympus" storyline.

I doubt it. It's hard to actually say without seeing anything of Cable Town, but there's no reason for them to go from Radiant Garden to some random new world. I also feel like Cable Town wouldn't look so similar in aesthetics to Twilight Town and Daybreak Town.

I don't think Olympus Coliseum is taking place after the events of the movie. Yes, the majority of Olympus' plot in previous games is original due to the inclusion of Final Fantasy characters like Zack (BBS), Cloud, and Auron (KH2), but it still takes place during the events of the movie. I mean Birth By Sleep has a young Hercules training with Phil even though it is at the Coliseum and not in Phil Island from the film and the Olympus plot in Kingdom Hearts and especially Kingdom Hearts II is taking place during the middle of the movie and introduced more characters from the film such as Megara, Pegasus, and the Hydra. And while the plot is original it did draw some references scenes from the film such as the Hydra attacking Hercules and Hercules saving Megara even though it's done in a different fashion.
Now that Disney including Walt Disney Animation is involved with the Disney worlds, from what the latest scenes we've seen for the plot on Olympus, yes part of the world is original as Sora is coming to this world to train with Hercules to get his powers after what happened in Dream Drop Distance but it's still taking place during the climax of the movie when Hades frees the Titans from their prison and launch their attack on Mt. Olympus.
Lastly, the Ice Titan that Hades summoned in BBS to battle Aqua, was not the real Ice Titan, but a proxy weak version called the Ice Colossus.
