During the opening remarks at the Dandelion Meeting, a new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer was shown off. The events transpire in Twilight Town where Sora is given a game machine that will allow us to play various mini-games, such as Giantland.
The scene shows Sora being handed a game machine by a random kid in Twilight Town; Donald and Goofy lean over to watch. Shows footage of Giantland, a hot dog toss game with Clarabelle Cow, Sora jumping around a construction site beating Pete with a hammer, rearranging pipes to collect eggs.
Zephyr has played the demo and has given his impressions:
The demo I played was Musical Farmer. There are chickens on the top that drop eggs into tubes and you have to guide them to the crates. The tubes need to be rotated if necessary. If they reach the crates, you can give them to Mickey or Minnie on the right/left side respectively. The crates can only hold 6 eggs at a time. You have 2 or 3 crates depending on difficulty. The stylization is very Game & Watch-esque. You get points when you hand the eggs to Mickey/Minnie.
Sign has played Barnyard Battle:
Sora and Mickey stand on two anvils at the end of 4 rows. Turn them left and right to smack enemies with a hammer as they come down. You have 3 lives; miss too many times and you’ll lose.
There are over 20 LCD games available to play in Kingdom Hearts 3. Some of them are available to demo at the Dandelion Meeting.

Giantland isn't a world, it's part of the slot machine Sora is given by a boy. But if we're getting these mini games then I doubt we're gonna see Wreck it Ralph. Although now it makes me wonder why we're getting 100 Acre Wood back as that has always been the mini game world.
How does it rule out Wreck it Ralph? You could still do more with that film than reducing it to a minigame world.

It could still tie in to Ralph down the line, but it doesn’t necessarily need to in order for Ralph to be a world. Perhaps, the arcade is in Twilight Town and the kid gives Sora the handheld after completing Ralph as a thank you for fixing the glitches in the games?

Gotta say, i'm really surprised we got a trailer after all, even if it was a short one focused solely on the mini games. Really glad to hear Hayner, Pence, and Olette are back with new outfits too.
Hopefully we get the trailer released to the public soon.

I'm definitely less optimistic on Ralph after this. To Have all these mini-games and no Ralph in any form would be a downer.

This is what I was thinking. I think it'll be similar to the stickers from KH2FM/BBSFM. They give you some new synthesis materials and maybe a new ability or two, but they're mostly just there as something else to complete.

There is still another panel and the closing remarks, but yeah I think it's safe to say that this is it for new KH3 footage. I think that this is more than enough though. This is an event about UX not KH3, so as far as I am concerned they didn't have to show off anything at all if they didn't want to.
They'll probably reveal more on how UX connects to KH3 in the next panel though.

I mean, people pay so they can get exclusive footage, sneak peaks, and just for the experience. It'd be great if we got some of the development footage, but they put that stuff together specifically for the people who paid to get into the event, so it'd be understandable if they didn't release any of it.

Most mini-games in KH have some kind of rewards beyond just achievements, so I at least expect items? But it could be like BBS and we could even get a Keyblade or some ability from it.

Yeah this has legit nothing to do with Wreck-it Ralph either way imo. Real talk, I never thought it would get in anyway, I think Frozen will be the last Revival Era movie included. But it doesn't exclude anything, the point of this is like a cute homage to old school Disney cartoons as far as I can tell. Really irrelevant to a world about video games.

Back in the day they revealed worlds in magazine exclusives, same thing can happen here. Not everything needs to be confirmed through trailer.

An answer from Nomura's Q and A was that a world in KH Union would be revealed and it's one that has never been done in the series and in KH3 a character from that property will be incorporated as a summon.

I am just one person keeping the OP in the coverage thread update while cleaning up and sending out tweets from staff at the event so it is disheartening to be doing all this work for the people on this website when there are others who are just linking other peoples tweets that contain the exact same information.

There's not a five minute delay though. The work is done instantaneous and it is kind of insulting for people to be choosing to find that same information else where and share it here instead of acknowledging that it is in the damn opening posts.

I think this build of the mini games is what we’ll see when they release with Union Cross, explaining the touch screen functionality. The KH3 versions will look different, I think.

Anyway, I sorta agree with both of you, I think for me its weird that they went through the trouble of making a shader that really makes the 2D characters look like themselves while still 3D...and then only use it like twice lol. I really think we need some more 2D animation in here, just to mix it up. Its less about the movies being newer, but of being a similar visual style to me I suppose.
But I do love Wreck-it Ralph, and have wanted it in KH since I saw it lol.

I think it's more of a CGI movies against traditionally animated movies. And as of now, we don't have single traditional movie announced which I also find a little troubling. Nothing against the new movies, not at all, but the beauty of Kingdom Hearts was also how they managed to transform characters from 2D into 3D, not only use assets handed to them which is partly the case now.

Well, considering Disney has films going back to the 1940s, yes, I do consider that modern. They are also ongoing franchises, btw. TS4 coming to theaters soon.

Then everyone would be Mad if Frozen didn't make the Cut especially Thegamersjoint, EdDaWiz, Skyward Wing and HMK. And if Frozen didn't make the Cut then Either Pocahontas or Atlantis: The Lost Empire would make cut or The Black Cauldron or Meet the Robinsons.

I'm the opposite, lol. The E3 trailer is going to be my last trailer and then I'm going on a KH3 lockdown until release and I'm really worried they are going to overstuff the E3 trailer and reveal way too much all at once, haha

Oh, you even want to keep worlds a secret? Like, I definitely don't want them to make the trailer too full of spoilers stuff, but I would like more than one world. Especially if its like 1 new, and then one or two old....basically I want the leak all dealt with by E3 lol.

That's the thing I most wanted to keep a secret (and have failed so far lol).
The thing that always stuck with me was KH1's tagline of "You'll never know who you'll run into next", and like I /felt/ that playing KH1. Like I didn't know for sure what world would be next or what it would look like and it was like a nice sense of discovery and surprise. In every game since, you have all of the worlds, their basic stories, what they look like all spoiled before the game even launches as part of their marketing and I hated that. I want to go into KH3 as blind as possible in the hopes I can kind of recapture that old feeling of not knowing who i'll run into next for this big finale. Unfortunately I've not been successful so far, but I decided E3 would be my absolute last trailer because I want to try to save as much as I can now, and with the release date being announced, it will be much easier to accomplish.

Ah I get that, that idea IS appealing to me as well, but I suppose I also sort of like to know what I'm in for, so I am not disappointed at the same time myself. Like I have multiple movies I secretly want to see, and would like to not still be desperately hoping they made it into the game by the time it comes out hahah.
So, I'm not sure if I could ever do that myself. Maybe, someday? I am hoping to not spoil myself on the Japanese release at all this time. I did not do that the past few games either lol....that is my compromise for this game to myself haha.

I mean, I didn’t play it but just from watching others play it I don’t even think explaining the big touch screen experience will really compare to playing it in UX. (Just as I don’t think playing it in UX will compare with playing it in KH3)
Zephyr played one of them, though. We do plan on having impressions up in the next day or so, too.

I think 2 per world would be good. Make one easily found and the other more of a challenge that you can’t reach until later in the game. It would make sense as we’ll probably have 10-13 worlds giving us a total of 20-26 of these mini games. Anymore than that and they probably would have told us 25+ or around 30 instead.

I wonder if it'll be kind-of like finding the lost pages for the Winnie the Pooh minigames, that if you find a chip or a cartridge or whatever, you unlock it. Or maybe it'll unlock based on completion -- perhaps when you finish a world like Toy Story, you get a few minigames (maybe some that are vaguely relevant to that world if possible).
These mini-games are probably the only games I'd want ported to mobile platforms. *ohhh burn*

I’d honestly prefer Classic Kingdom to be its own app separate from UX, but I get it’s a way to get more downloads of the latter.

I really would love for these to be like Torn Pages as well, and to be somewhat well hidden. I want lots of collectibles. It does make me wonder if 100 Acre Wood will have torn pages again, tbh I think the poor book getting torn up again is excessive lol. So maybe it will be a fully explorable mini-game world this time? But I feel they may tear it up again anyway lol....

They will! They’ll be on there before KH3 launches. It appears the build in the trailer is actually the smartphone version judging by the onscreen buttons.

This would be really great with how open and vertical the worlds are supposed to be. It really gives the players the incentive to explore beyond just gameplay and story progression -- maybe there'd be areas that can also trigger cute, special scenes? Like the shooting star in 0.2.

I really hope so. There was so much in .2 that I missed on my initial play through including the shooting star and I’d love to have a similar experience in KH3. It would be great to have those little intimate moments where it’s just Sora taking in the scope of the worlds.

Before KH3? That's even better!! This whole time I was thinking they were emulating the mini-games because I thought they were KH3 specific. I will definitely re-download KHUX for the mini-games.

I think the news was in the Fan Event coverage thread in the UX forum! My only concern is that they might try to bank on our thirst and make the mini-games pay to play after a certain point... I only want to play like 3-4 of them though and save the rest as part of my KH3 experience.
