We announced that the embargo for Kingdom Hearts III event will break on Friday morning. Thanks to Reddit user GuatemalanWatermelon, we've got a look at the facade of the event's location!
As you can see, the premiere location is dressed to the nines with signature plaid and game sigil patterns. We also have our first look at the hashtag being used: #KH3Premiere.
As always, we'll have more information up soon! Be sure to keep checking KHInsider, especially on Friday when we'll be sharing our hands-on experience with Kingdom Hearts III.

I think it is new, but it also resembles the keychain of Vanitas-Ventus' X-blade. The keychain had a red and black heart if I remember correctly, but it WAS a flawed method of creating the weapon. Perhaps this new emblem refers to the X-blades true incarnation...

If we don't get a line of KH inspired plaid clothing by the time KH3 releases, i'll be surprised. But the venue and new logo looks lovely! Can't wait to find out what is revealed there Friday!
You know what's terrifying? In the reflection of the doors there's some kind of ad with kids jumping or something and for about 10 seconds I deadass thought it was a display poster INSIDE the venue of KH character models in T-stance.

Random thought, but what if there is an “Ultima Weapon†for each kind of transformation form? For the Guardian form, it transforms into a shield with a design much like this. It looks a lot like an ornate shield/coat of arms to me. It could be a coat of arms for the Guardians of Light, perhaps? It’s probably just a cool design with no story significance though. Lol

Honestly, that would be really nice. But who am I kidding, I just want more forms!! Yes we have red, blue, and yellow. But now give me green and purple.
But mah, as far as the emblem thing goes the whole of the design is very coat of arms and is probably just a fun symbol for the event. I was referring to the kingdom keys crossed over the heart section specifically, since that's what the X-blade keychain is.

Thoughts on this new symbol? It looks like something that could represent the god-form one could achieve my gaining power over Kingdom Hearts. You can see legs, arms, four wings, and the heart for the head.

I know the story as I’ve watched scenes and Back Cover. I’ve only played the first bit of UX, but I’m slowly working on it. I’ve seen the cover before; it just never really registered what it looked like as I didn’t analyze it at the time. My comment was me making fun of myself for overlooking it.
If knowing every minute detail of the series is a requirement to theorize here, then please let me know and I’ll take my theories elsewhere. But part of the reason I share my theories is so I can learn more from people who know more than me rather than just being told to go away and come back when I know what I’m talking about. If that isn’t what you meant, I apologize for misinterpreting. But that is how your post reads, especially considering other comments you’ve made to me.
I respect that you and others have probably dedicated a lot more time to learning the details of the series than I have and I want to learn the deeper parts of this series too. If I didn’t think this was the site with the best knowledge, I would go watch the Youtubers, visit KH13, or other sources. But I trust you guys’ knowledge first and foremost. Just please understand that I am in the learning process and that it is kind of hurtful to have my voice shut down just because I don’t know everything.

I believe the 15th post has someone who was very naughty and took photos from inside the venue. We aren't allowed to share it since we only have to approval for sharing the exterior of the event. The inside is off limits to us until 6am on Friday.

Yeah, since I’ve only been active in the KH online community since the end of last year, I still have a lot of catching up to do. I really enjoy having a community to discuss my favorite series with. But there is definitely a culture shock when you’re used to experiencing the series alone and you start sharing the experience with a ton of other people with different experiences than you. It pulls you out of your personal headcanon pretty fast. It isn’t a bad thing. But it’s a process of learning what ideas the community accepts, etc. I’m always trying to keep an open mind so I can be receptive about these things. :)

I may be a minority, but I hope not. If an NDA is broken, which it seems some already have been to a minor extent, Square Enix may not trust the community with something like this again. We already have some people on Twitter claiming they want to crash the event now that the location has been publicized. I hope people are smart enough to play by the rules so we don’t ruin a good thing.

Literally everything inside the event is under NDA and embargo. The smallest peep about the contents of the event should not be known before 6am on the 18th.

I see what you mean. Yeah, it’s not a bad idea to stay attentive if you want to be in the loop. I’m just hoping anything that comes out between now and then is approved by SE or from SE themselves. Since they tweeted about Tai and Elijah today, there could very well be more stuff like that revealed over the next two days. But either way, we only have to survive less than 3 days before the embargo lifts.

Also, if I hear one more joke about "plaid", I'm gonna lose it. I think the new clothes look great, and to be honest, it's not like Sora's wearing a flannel jacket.

If they announce the release date, then E3 can still be used for new world reveals, more trailers, special editions (Tomb Raider got its release date a month before they announce the SE) and SE Presents can go in depth with some mechanics of the game.

Also KH3 getting a blowout now and a release date will make it all the talk for the next week instead of getting lost in the scramble of e3. Third parties are more prone to these reveals these days, and leaving the super hype reveals during e3 to the first party companies.
Also I have a question for the admins going that may or may not be able to be answered. Has Square informed you of what the event will entail or are you in the dark with us there. I’m kind of curious if they’ve given out more info about the event to those going or if you’re really in the dark just as much as us without saying anything about what it entails. They also still have to reveal the release date for Left Alive, as well as ones for other smaller titles. Since they’re wanting Left Alive to be a new AAA franchise, they may want to announce KH3’s release date now and Left Alive’s at E3 so each game gets its own moment in the sun.
Even though it’s in the Front Mission universe, Left Alive doesn’t have the same kind of established fan base as KH3 that makes an event like this worthwhile. I think it’s better to reveal that kind of title at E3 where more people will see it as they’re tuning in for info on other games. Plus, I really think KH3 will be in November and Left Alive in December, placing them both about six months after their possible release announcements.
Besides a focus of release date info for other games, there is still plenty of KH specific material that could be shown at E3 like Chaser said. Even if we are running low on worlds to reveal, there are so many characters, places, and features we haven’t seen yet.
There’s also the chance they could announce the release month/season on Friday and the full date at E3. I wouldn’t mind it at all, but I think going straight from “coming 2018†to a full reveal would elicit stronger reactions.

It’s pretty similar (imo the exact same) as the voice actor shenanigans. It seems the staff is legally bound to not confirm or deny anything in any kind of way. It’s extremely gracious that the staff even acknowledges the question rather than ignoring it entirely.

My expectation as of now is that Friday will be all about gameplay impressions. Nothing story related, just the first time the game gets some hands on time with the public. Perhaps new mechanics introduced, or rather a deeper dive on the already announced mechanics.
For E3, I'm (perhaps a bit too hopeful here) expecting one of those classic 7 minute trailers that is more story focused with gameplay snippets spliced in the middle, including a world reveal and release date.
All in all i'm saying there would/could still be a lot left to show at E3

Yea from what I’ve read there’s a hands on impression tomorrow, but there’s an actual event on Friday. And the embargo lifts at 9am so people can live tweet the event. I could be wrong though.

There's already 7 with the leak. Expect 3-4 more. For a total of 10-11. I expect 10. More then KH bbut not more then KH 2 which goes with what Nomura said that KH3 wouldn't have more Disney worlds then KH2.

There’s no way to know who is doing it. Taking pictures is presumably allowed and the screenshots are being posted anonymously on 4chan. There’s no way to know who is posting the pictures online if taking pictures is allowed by everyone.

That isn’t the case. Regardless of what world you’re referring to, in each game we have had characters from worlds both in the game and not in the game. The event is tomorrow. Today is a preview so the news outlets can put together their impressions as I said above.

That would have been the most safe decision but depending on how many attendants there are + the assistants and helping hands I doubt they have enough security to go around and confiscate every possible phone.

That would mean in comparison Europe would be 8 or 9 hours ahead so we would have already 2 or 3pm on Friday noon if I calculate correctly.
