Oh the boxart is really good. It does have a bit of a resemblance to the KH3 one, wonder how intentional that was.

On a side note I'd really want one of those Mr. Mews.

The boxart looks nice but there is a very obvious lack of cohesion? You can tell each element was made separately and then pieced together at the end lol

The KH3 boxart is a shot of the cast looking out to Shibuya from Shinjuku. And the TWEWY boxart is from within Shibuya itself. It's pretty cute lol

Yeah, I feel the same way. Also it isn't dynamic like the first game's boxart.

It's Nomura. No way the sky looking like KH3 boxart is coincidence. The man is about to connect everything.

One sky, one destiny.

I agree. There's no way this is just a coincidence.

It's the exact same sky. Right down to the colors.

Same sky, with the 4 colors of the sky perfectly intersecting to the top of the 104 building? Where the last boss of KH3 happened?

Crazy. I'm all in on this being linked. I know TWEWY fans find this speculation annoying, and it is... They waited so long for a new game, only for it to be made out to be part of the crazy KH plan. I think it'll be its own great game, but.. It's connected. So obviously connected.

Let us remember the meaning of Quadratum.

Square.

All. According. To. Keikaku.

I'm still not considering the possibility of them being linked, I just think it would be in poor taste to do so

I am in the camp of it not being a direct link.

I think TWEWY will stay firmly in its own corner of Nomura’s mad pseudo multiverse concept.

Instead, it will be the next KH game that borrows elements from NEO TWEWY. Some sort of concept from Shibuya’s new game will be applied to Quadratum in a very loose manner

Nomura will be weird and cheeky, though. There will be a character in NEO TWEWY that says something that triggers KH fans. It will have to do with the time travel mechanic in this game.

Yea, I think if anything, Nomura is leaving open the possibility of playing the long game in connecting everything (FF7R included tbh), but as we know, as a writer he likes to leave the future “unwritten” and painted in broad strokes only.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a sense of how much influence he actually has over the narrative as creative producer?

Yeah, I feel like he's added all of these little puzzle pieces in each of his projects and KH is like the nexus where it all meets together.

A lot. Essentially with him being the creative producer, it means he's likely created the base story and the framework of the main casts' background. Of course Kando and Ito would have collaborated with the development of all of this since these games are as much theirs as it is Nomura's.

In general most of the people working on this game have worked under Nomura since CoM, so that's something to keep in mind.

Remember that comment Nomura made about KH3 Shibuya and how it was written the same way as TWEWY Shibuya? Gotta keep that in mind too despite it being quite vague.

People seem to see that quote as Nomura deconfirming any connection when he's actually nudging toward one.

Huh, kinda surprised to see Shoka on the box art, makes me wonder if the theories about her being Shiki in disguise have some merit.

Loved the new trailer, and I also like the new box art! Love how it looks like Neku is holding his 'phones through the hood.

Been kinda torn between if I want to grab this for Switch or PlayStation, but I think I'm leaning Switch.

It's Nomura so there HAS to be some kind of connection, but don't forget that he's also the BIGGEST TROLL EVER!!! People can probably beat the game and we STILL won't know what that connection is just like (putting this in a spoiler thingy in case your one of the few people who STILL hasn't finished KH3...like my best friend who is taking FOREVER to finish the games in chronological order and is procrastinating on KH2FM OTL)
Luxu/Braig/Xigbar and THAT DAMN BLACK BOX OF HIS!!!
.
