Well, I have a lot to say about the demo and 98% of it is positive.

Sadly I have work, BUT! I leave you all with this:

I'll be playing more (if not for work) thus far nothing but positive stuff on this front.

I loved it. The characters were a delight and the voice work was wonderful. I am loving being able to explore Shibuya in 3D and get a proper idea of how the locations meld together in the TWEWY-verse.

The combat is a relief, I was worried it'd be too hectic and confusing but I had an enjoyable time, so much so I found myself dropping my level and chaining fights, something I remember avoiding as much as possible in TWEWY because I couldn't stand the gameplay on DS.

It's been so interesting to see how the Reapers Game is meant to be played (?). I'm so curious to where the story is going to go, I can't wait.

It was really good! I loved the characters! The intro was fire! The trailer at the end was it English and that kinda threw me off at first because I was playing the rest of the demo in Japanese. After playing the demo, I wanted to watch the intro again and I had to mash x until I got to it. There should really be a skip cutscene button.

The graphics could be more polished, but seems like it will be a solid game.

Overall there's nothing that I would make different when it comes to the creative approach. They successfully brought TWEWY to the new generation. It feels new while staying true to its roots.

Gameplay and writing surprised me alot.

The gameplay is exciting and erased my fears of being a sloppy mess. This was one the hardest tasks for Square considering how unique the first one was. For now the loading times between rounds during the chain battles didn't bother me

The writting and voice acting quality are pretty good. Rindo/Fret interact like real teenagers and make me feel one too. The original didn't make feel like that.

Music is cool, but since its TWEWY I'm expecting more. I don't like new version of Someday.

Also, same, not a fan of the new Someday iteration(at least the English version, maybe Japanese will be a different story? If it exists that is), but I love the NEO mix of Owari-Hajimari.

Storywise, I’m curious what caused Rindo and Fret to get into the game. [ISPOILER]Maybe it was the pins themselves? Or because they passed one of the decals with the pins on their person when they went to go eat? Either way, it’s clear they weren’t dead when they came in.[/ISPOILER]
Curious on Rindo’s texting buddy though? Wonder who they are. [ISPOILER]From context clues, I’m guessing Swallow is either Shoka or maybe the new guy we saw at the end of the Final Trailer? I thought the latter was an older Joshua but then I noticed the image on the new guy’s jacket. It’s a bird, seems to be a phoenix? [/ISPOILER]

3 things I am certain about :

1. Swallow is Shoka. The opening movie focuses on Shoka and Rindo and I’m going down with this.

2. The guy who picks the pin up is Joshua because he would totally do that.

3. The Shinjuku reapers don’t know Sho is on the team because he probably doesn’t have a player pin

So far I really like the presentation, but I feel the text goes a by a bit to fast for the none voiced NPCs when they randomly pop up during gameplay. It kind of throws me of, it might be a bit too much for me in the long run. The Demo definitely is longer than expected but plays really well on the switch.

Shoka is a gem, I already like her. The reapers seem less antagonistic this time around. More like event organizers that aren't being paid enough to put up with the players.

I wonder how Rindo ended up dying, we kind of saw how Fret might have died, but Rindo's death is unclear. On top of that I wonder why they could see the players and noise before the the fatal event. Perhaps they died the moment they go the pins?

I think the memory of their death was intentionally wiped. If Rindo was able to remember it, he would be able to use his rewind power to go back and prevent his and Fret’s death, and that would go contrary to what I’m sure TPTB need to happen to ensure the survival of Shibuya…

Rindo preventing Fret from getting crushed by a flying truck was already crazy enough. I don’t think that was the accident that would have killed either of them, but it would have certainly wiped Fret from the Game since we know they were already in the game by time they start seeing the battles happening.

But we’ll see! That’s just my theory.

Going over the demo again, I think the point where Rindo and Fret could’ve been tuned into the UG was when he had that first future vision. Because he did bump into someone on the way to the scramble. And Reapers can be seen in the RG, without wings of course, as seen with 777 and the tech guy in the first game.

Good point, though it’s interesting that Rindo bumps into a normal civilian in Dogenzaka just moments before seeing the Reaper.. unless that civilian was also a Player in the game? I doubt it, but who knows. Either way, we’ll have to wait till the game is out to learn more.

Enjoying the demo so far! I'll get back to it when I have the chance.

BTW, does anyone have individual artworks of Rindo, Fret, Nagi and Sho? I wanna use them for something.
