These look really good. I'm glad to see the improvements to Mickey's look specifically.

But I wonder what exactly Mickey is telling Riku and Kairi... Hmmmmm... I guess I'll have to wait another 70 days to find out.

Man Mickey has had a LOT of improvement, if they toned down the shine on his face a bit more he be perfect.
The fact we can see up Aqua's sleeve is incredible weird feeling, like it almost lets you picture her without them which just feels wrong.

No, Mickey does not look how he usually does. Even in normal Disney 3D models, he has those cut fluffy thick cheeks.

Agreed. Mickey kinda does still look a bit off, though chu can tell they've put in more effort to make him look better. Ish hard to say exactly why.

@Hirokey123: Honestly, I think ish better this way, makes Aqua look more exposed to the darkness of the realm of darkness this way, which suits the plot perfectly in my opinion.

Of course this is a major improvement and all, but I just feel like they're trying too hard to make Mickey look more like a real mouse.

Okay, if Aqua is going back to Enchanted Dominion, then there is no longer a doubt in my mind - 0.2 is gonna probably end up connecting directly to chi/Unchained chi.

Yeah, I can't lie, even with any improvements, they still haven't "Mastered" (hohoho) Mickey's iconic look. It's a very simple design, but easy to get askew. I don't mind the original characters looking a tad different, but the Disney designs should remain faithful. Considering how well they have made him look in-game and with CGI, it's a wonder why they can't quite successfully capture his likeness here.

I don't see anything wrong with Aqua's sleeve. Maybe it's just the angle.

As for Mickey....I have nothing other than how are they able to make Donald and Goofy 100% accurate but leave Mickey at like 98%

Okay I think I know what the problem with Mickey is. They're trying to have him express more emotions without having him look like there's a smile just stuck on his face despite him looking sad or something. Unfortunately, Mickey is pretty tricky to animate without dimples in the 3D realm, unless you're the Steamboat Willie style Mickey or Epic Mickey. Also, a lot of people are used to Mickey having the dimples that are a part of his trademark smile. Take those out, and yeah people are bound to say that something's off.

I actually like the direction they went with Mickey. Give him more "human" looking traits. Obviously, super realistic Mickey would be terrible (and terrifying), but I've always wanted, kind of secretly I guess, to make the Disney characters more Final Fantasy like, even anime like. Just look up anime Disney princesses to see what I mean.

Disney characters come from a different medium. They're just different. Square has stayed true to Disney's original image, by their own volition or not, and it works, but for me it's not perfect. I'd prefer to see Square inject these Disney personas and worlds into essentially a Final Fantasy universe. That would just be so cool, I mean come on!

Disclaimer, this is just my personal subjective and biased opinion. This will never happen for a million reasons, but I think it would be good for this game's (lets face it) aging fan base!

Again, I doubt this is a hiccup. This is what they want him to look like, we can't change that. Does it look awful to me? Yes. Can we complain about it? Yes. Will anything change? I don't think ao.

I also think it's his mouth shape that's throwing people off. That said, I think it's probably a good thing, since Mickey's perpetual smile in previous games made it hard to take him seriously when he was angry/sad. Maybe you guys won't think it looks so weird in motion.

Looked pretty weird in the Jump Festa 2015 trailer. Not unbearable, and they've definitely made improvements in some regards since then, but Mickey just seems so robotic and lacking in expression to me. It makes me wonder what he's going to look like when he does smile.

Mickey is a mixture of that and a normal face. If it's like the opening, it's not all that difficult cause he's not talking, just smiling. Looking up some other 3D Mickey footage cause surely there is some....

Either she will escape the Realm of Darkness (which would allow the first KH3 trailer to make sense, since Sora found her Keyblade on the shores of Destiny Islands) or she will at the end meet somebody else that will help her escape.

I wouldn't consider any of what happened in that mini-trailer story-related. I don't think it holds any relevance whatsoever.

This sounds quite more possible at least. I think 0.2 will at least lead to the point in the story where she gets saved, even though I still don't think they'll have her saved just now. Dunno, I think all of that will happen in "teh bigzZ geam."

Of course it does, even it it's just symbolic it was put there for a reason. Nomura wanted everyone to know that he didn't forget about the series. I actually wouldn't be surprised if we see some canon variant of this scene.

Sure, it doesn't have to mean that, but of course we don't even know if 0.2 was a thing when they made that trailer. Lest we forget, 0.2 was originally supposed to be a segment of III. Concepts definitely change over time, but there's no reason to be curt about the possibility.

Well, I'm just connecting the KH3 trailer to my theory that Aqua escaped, and that the Keyblade on the ground was meant to reference that (I've actually had this in mind for a while now).

I kinda think it'd be anticlimactic if Aqua, after such a long time in the darkness and Mickey being shown helping her several times and especially the ending of the opening, just escaped the darkness "on her own". While I'm no one who wants Sora to save everybody, I think Aqua should, for a change, be the one to be actively saved instead of keeping her friends safe.

I'm not saying she escaped herself, but it's either one of the two. Either she does it at the end by herself, or at the end with somebody (possibly DiZ).

I'd say it'll end with Aqua meeting DiZ on the dark margin. Or does that happen before??

If Aqua is still in the RoD how is it that she and AtW didn't meet Sora and Riku at he end of KH 2? Was just because the time that S & R spent there was so short nothing could have happened?

Well, originally it was understood that Sora and Riku were on the "Between Realm side". As in, the Dark Margin represented the "tip" of a world, being that the beach was in the Between Realm, and the sea was the beginning of the Realm of Darkness. Thus the idea was that Aqua and ATW were on the other side of the sea, on the beach of the Dark Realm.

Sora/Riku > [SEA] < Aqua/Ansem

In a sense, they were considered mirror opposites of each other, and just happened to look the same due to not having the time/budget to make them look different (tho one could point out that the giant rock that Xemnas and DiZ sit on is seemingly absent from the beach Sora/Riku were on).

Hard to know if that is still the case though. That was how we understood the Dark Margin pre-BBS, and how it was explained by Nomura, but it's possible he changed his mind and now the Dark Margin is only ever in the Realm of Darkness. At which case, yeah, the idea would be that Sora/Riku /just/ missed them by the nature of how short their time spent there was.

Aqua/DiZ scene happens post-KHII whereas the bulk of 0.2 (Aqua's story) that we've seen so far happens KH1/CoM time.

Personally, a part of me would love if 0.2 ended with them doing Blank Points again, but now in the fancy new graphics lol, but I think on the other that wouldn't feel like a satisfying ending. Nomura has made a point that while the beginning of the story of 0.2 is well-known, the ending itself isn't, which leads me to believe it will not end with something we already knew (i.e. Aqua/DiZ scene, Aqua still on the beach with DiZ, etc)[/FONT]
