Anime? You mean the manga, right? If yes, then the manga never stopped. Amano just finished Days in October and has been working on completing Kingdom Hearts II which is currently a continuing series in GanGan.

Maybe he will one day. He did draw Marluxia and Larxene eating Nomura Fried Chicken (nom nom Kentucky Fried Chicken but better)
