With just over a month left until the September 10th release of Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX-, Square Enix have provided a set of screenshots, as well as a new trailer, in preparation for the release.

Regarding that Gummi Ship map picture, there's an un-achievable set of circumstances involving a worm hole path and a bridge to Neverland.
This is a very well edited trailer.
Seeing the animated Final Mix logo makes me think there will be trailers for Chain of Memories and Days.
The world select screen could've had the gummi ship mission option shifted a little to the right if you ask me. An awful lot of space there.
Edit: Look at the simba summon screen and see if you can spot what's missing ;)
I think "Hand in hand" is a much better suited theme for the trailer than "Having a wild time" that they chose last time.
But why are they using the old original version rather than the remastered orchestra version to be used in the actual game, I wonder...?
Nice trailer, indeed. I like that they added the scene in Monstro. The wait to play these games is getting harder and harder. I vowed to keep myself from playing these three games when 1.5 Remix was announced, and it has felt like an eternity.
3 weeks until my vacation

Can't wait for the upcoming trailers for Re:CoM and Days as it seems likely to come.

Yeah it would've been more fitting if they've used the updated version of Hand in Hand and I wonder why they didn't use it.

Hmm? I'm certain after completing Hollow Bastion the first time, getting the Navi-G from Cid and going back and saving in Hollow Bastion would give you that kind of map.
As long as they release a Days trailer that actually shows off some of the voice acting in Days HD Theater and plays either "Xion" or "Vector to the Heavens", I'm good.

And the thing that REALLY hurts watching this? I was hoping for full on mouth animation instead of the crappy 2d ones. I was just watching my brother play the original KH1 and watching people talk made me cringe...

This disappointed me, too, as I was hoping for some good lip sync animation, but I suppose the game wouldn't be coming out this soon if they did work on it.

There was a bit of reframing so you might be a closer on Sora at times because of the camera and not wanting to make Sora seem like he's being swallowed by the environments on an HDTV.

I think that the first game was a lot more zoomed-in than the others originally. I was hoping they might back off a little, actually. Just a TINY bit...

Dunno, KH trailers have been put together really strangely since BBS; loud BGM, missing SFX tracks, low quality footage... it's pretty strange.

Thought that would have been obvious from the screens we've been getting lol.
I do wonder why they insist on using animated facial textures for these scenes. It never stops being jarring due to the huge difference between high and low poly models in this series.

Don't get me wrong. I'm always disappointed when they take the marketing strategy when it comes to releasing games, but I was just basing my assumption that correcting and animating lip sync takes a while. I don't really know, to be honest. :P
I won't pretend to understand why releasing a game in the Summer is such a bad thing; especially, when many students, young and college alike, are out of school. But hey...

I really doubt they will port it (maybe make it available on PSN and playable via Gaikai's streaming service) but it is your decision.

If you have PS2 games, get one of the PS3's that can play those too at a pawn shop or something. I know from personal experience that PS2's don't last forever, and my PS3 is (sadly) a couple model numbers too new to actually USE the software. I'm so glad that one of my favorite PS2 series is coming to my PS3; it makes me think it was worth the buy:3

Not sure what point you're trying to make again since 1) It was a small team, but definitely less than 20, and most of those people were planners with an even smaller number of dedicated programmers working on it (like 2-5 of them.)
2) The point I was making to the user was that it hasn't been a short amount of time. It's been a few years, and six months between releases which would give time for any changes that would need to be made if they felt the desire to.

I meant the deadline for when they're finished Localizing. Oops.
Also, the point im trying to make is the amount of time *and resources* they put on this are constantly relevant to discussions about how much was actually improved. New face animations may not have been a priority.

Yeah, this is a really good idea for those who don't own PS3s. I do not believe they'll port the games either to the PS4 sadly for those that don't have PS3s, and you can find these really old Fat PS3s for cheap nowadays since they are very outdated (not less than $100 cheap, but a great deal) that you'll be able to use for a long time since you can play both the remixes and a bunch of other PS2/PS3 games on it.

I've been seeing Stun Impact in a lot of the snippets of gameplay out there. Haha, and check out that play time! Slapshot is a returner, and is Hurricane Blast one, too? I can't remember.

Everything Square Enix releases in the west nowadays seem to suffer from quality issues, but KH is especially plagued with inaccuracies. It's the strangest thing!

Dumbo is still active despite having run out of... SUMMON. As far as I know, summon disappearances are pretty immediate.

Makes sense... For a moment there I was like, "SECRET AREA", but then I went to play the game and I saw it was there... just hiding and just takes you back to Traverse Town...

I guess it's just because nobody typically leaves Hollow Bastion on that crucial revisit, so you never end up seeing that combination of paths and portals without the End of the World road being present.

lol, I agree. I usually already prepared after Hollow Bastion, so I just go to the last part of the game, no stops or anything.
And even so, if you choose to go back and do something, you can just warp to your destination.

Lol, that one does look a little staged, only because it fit through Goofy's shield hole perfectly. Wow, really uncomfortable to type.
Anyways, can you imagine him swinging the shield around with his keyblade as an attack? xD
