New Kingdom Hearts II Manga Wallpaper Commemorating the 10th Volume!

The 10th volume of the Kingdom Hearts II manga series by Shiro Amano will be released this summer and in order to celebrate the final volume's upcoming release, a new wallpaper featuring all of the heroes, Disney characters, and Organization XIII members from the game has been released on the official Square Enix GanGan website!
[1920 x 1200] [1280 x 1024] [1024 x 768]

BBS was so tragic and I want to see how he'd have the characters have fun on their journeys...
Shiro Amano needs to keep doing the series after KH2. He has a way of taking the plot of the games and actually making them even more enjoyable (and fleshed out) then they already were. Not to mention, the manga counterparts at times feel more fleshed out than even their game counterparts.
Plus, that art style doe.

No, I meant, like, different versions of manga done by different people. I thought there was a bbs manga already, and vanitas fangirls were swooning over it because it sympathized the only purely evil character in the series.

No. There are the novels written by Tomoco Kanemaki & illustrated by Shiro Amano, and there is the manga series written by Shiro Amano.

Oh okay then. Thank you for clarifying. This reminds me, I should brush up on the manga that's already out in the meantime, or wait for it all to be released and I'll buy it in a collection. That would be great, if they were released in saga collections.

Well Yen Press actually has been releasing them all (except Days) in omnibuses, so that's probably as good as it gets.
KH1 is two omnibuses and CoM is one. Days is five volumes which isn't too bad.
Not to mention Kingdom Hearts II has been released in 3 omnibuses thus far.
KH2 Vol 1 = 1 - 3.5
KH2 Vol 2 = 3.5 - 5
KH2 Vol 3 = 6 - 7
So I'd say expect 4 to be maybe be the final one with 8-10 sometime next year?

I believe this as well. Amano knows how to make a story and the characters in that story work well.
(You know, I've never seen Amano thanked in any of the games...he really should considering what he is doing for fans <3 )

Amano-san is just so nice and considerate towards the fan with all of this; I really appreciate him for all that he does.
Anyway, I'll be really glad to finally see the KHII manga come to a close, but it's going to be really bitter sweet, too.
And I, like everyone else, would love to see Amano-san's spin on a BbS manga, but at the same time... if he needed a break from KH after all these years, I wouldn't blame him at all.

Truer things have not been said. A mash of the game's depressing-ness and the manga's silliness (and Amano's pacing) would have done so well. I still enjoy Days a lot despite its flaws, though.
Since I usually keep up on the KH2 manga through scanlations, I am pretty out of touch with its physical release. Where are we on the Japanese version, and where are we on the English one? I know this is the last Japanese volume, but are all the other 9 (?) already realeased physically? Sorry if it's a dumb question, but chapter by chapter vs. full volume manga releases always get me mixed up. I might import the Japanese volumes that haven't been translated.

Watch the BbS manga (if it ever happens) be so depressing that not even Amano can save it and we all just end up weeping our eyes onto the manga that the ink runs and the manga is ruined.

I mean, part of me says "why not finish out this saga?" but given it's taken him so long to get through KH1, CoM, Days, and KH2, I can't imagine how daunting it must be to think he still has BbS, Coded, KH3, and possibly Chi (a short story of sorts). By the time they all finished, we'll be well onto the next saga O_O

I very much doubt it's daunting, more like the man has job security for as long as the series lasts. We can all just forget about any sort of time table to keep the manga current with the release of the games, though. I personally think the care he puts into his storytelling is worth the wait - the humor alone is worth my purchase. And I can see him doing all of it: BBS, coded, DDD, KHIII, etc.
I would really prefer he start BBS. I wonder if he would take a break from the long arc to do coded, or if he would just do it all in one fell swoop.
Anyways, like JollyCrow said, I can't believe all this time has passed. It's the same way I felt about the Evangelion manga (which I am finally about to read now that the semester is over - I wait foreeever for the manga, and then can't read it because of homework).

This is what I was thinking. CoM, arguably, has a much longer story (despite being one of the shorter ones), and only took up two volumes. Don't see why Coded would need to take up more than one. It's BbS and DDD that's going to take Amano some time.

He said he would be "done with the manga" so I guess maybe I could have misinterpreted it. But to me when he says "done with the manga" I think we can also interpret that as done with this project in general. I guess we'll just have to wait for an announcement containing more info.

Each game is its own manga series within the KH series. He doesn't count them all as one thing since he works on them by game.
But when I saw "done with the manga" I thought "He's done now? No BBS or DDD???"
