In a brand new trailer shown at Sony's E3 2018 Press Conference, Pirates of the Caribbean makes its return to the Kingdom Hearts series! Based on the events of the third film "Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End", Sora, Donald and Goofy team up with Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew of misfits on a grand adventure across the seas.

I don't know if it's right to still be optimistic about Atlantis now. It's not gonna be good for my health lol but diving is still a mechanic they can easily use for multiple worlds so maybe it really doesn't but who knows now..
I guess Atlantis wouldn't really be a good place to announce at E3 anyway..but where else could they.
Wowww they did so good with the Pirates of Caribbean world this time. Not only is it gorgeous altogether, but they did such a good job with the look and outfits of Sora Donald and Goofy. It's tough to pull off, but they really don't look like they stick out so much this time around.
I knew this had a strong likelihood of reappearing here. I guess this means Treasure Planet's chances just went out the window. :( Atlantis is probably unlikely now, too. That said, I'm happy to go back to Port Royal again.

It was one my ultimate KH3 dreams to see them use Dead Man's Chest/At World's End. In a word: YYYYEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!

I was going to avoid the trailers, but POTC Sora (saw a thumbnail of him) made me weak.

I've wanted all of the Titans to appear for SO LONG. Dream come true.
Although I'm slightly disappointed that it isn't Treasure Planet, like most of us wanted, I'm happy that Pirates of the Caribbean is returning to III. On top of that, it looks to be adapting the At World's End Storyline and love the new costume changes for Sora, Donald and Goofy so they look like, well you know....Pirates and not just random civilians looking out of place in the world and really digging the designs of Jack Sparrow and the rest of the characters in Unreal Engine 4.
Also YES!!! we finally got the Lava and Wind Titans for the Hercules world, and it's taking place during their invasion of Mt. Olympus!!
Maybe not Atlantis.
A bit iffy on Atlantis, so not sure about this world appearing giving that Sora is shown to be diving underwater in the trailer.
Speaking of underwater, there was a brief scene in At World's End where they had to flip the Black Pearl upside Down, so who knows if that will be implemented in the game.

I had a stupid Kool-Aid Smile on my face through the whole trailer.

This is a dream come true! At World's End is my favorite Pirates of the Caribbean movie and now we get to explore it in Kingdom Hearts 3! It's such a good fit for Kingdom Hearts as well! This is amazing!

This was the absolute last world I was expecting.
Nice to see Repliku and Luxord back, and to finally hear Vanitas.
The first thing I want Sora to say to Barbossa is "hey how are you still here? I saw Jack shoot you" XD.
They kept saying you'd be able to ride certain Heartless. For years. Never once did I expect to Flowchain to a flying Heartless and then proceed to navigate to a boss in the middle of a photorealistic sea.
Also neat the transformation is called High Wind? Callback?

Even Sora, Donald and Goofy in their costume change, look like....well you know like Pirates instead of being in their normal clothes like in their last visit back in II and the Pirates of the Caribbean characters (particularly Jack Sparrow) look amazing in Unreal Engine 4 if I say so myself.
Also, happy to see Maximus and Pascal from Tangled are in the trailer and glad they weren't written out and eliminated. The Kingdom Hearts games have been infamous for removing quadrupedal animal sidekicks (e.g. Khan from Mulan, Djali from Hunchback) that play an integral part in the films, Pegasus from Hercules was the exception in Kingdom Hearts II, and I can understand why they did it due to hardware limitations from the earlier games and their relevancy. Now that Sven (Frozen), Maximus and Pascal (Tangled) remain in the game I can rest easy.
This is definitely the BEST Kingdom Hearts III trailer so far.

We already have 7 confirmed worlds and that not including main plot forwarding worlds like Twilight Town, Radiant garden, Caste Oblivion, The World That Never Was, Daybreak Town, Keyblade Graveyard, and Traverse Town (not saying that all of these will make the cut but, you can expect to see at least 2 or 3 of them)...
Im guessing we will get at least 1 more Disney based world and it will probably be one that we werent expecting Like, Moana, & Brave. Larxene did mention New Princesses of Heart. It Opens the door for a new Disney worlds featuring a princess...

Also, Luxord mentioned about looking for a "box" is he referring to the Black Box Luxu was carrying in Back Cover the same one Maleficent and Pete were talking about to Hades in the Orchestra Trailer? Because part of me thinks it's the Dead Man's Chest with the Heart of Davy Jones, however, this is taking place during the third movie and Norrington stole the heart and the chest was empty when Davy Jones opened it, so looks to be the former.
You know, after seeing those ships battles, swimming gameplay, the stunning graphics, the size of the sea... kind of makes sense its delayed until 2019.

I don't think so. Seeing that in one of the other trailers, Sora was swimming around in the Tangled world. So I won't lose hope for Altantis or Treasure Planet but it does seem less likely at this point.

I definitely did not expect this world to appear! On paper I wasn't hoping for it, but OMG it looks AMAZING! It also fulfills what I wanted from Atlantica and NeverLand (underwater world/flying world). I'm still holding out hope for Atlantica, but still The Caribbean looks like such a fun world and I'm really excited to explore it.
I feel like I have enough to wait until the release date... but dammit, I'm so hyped! Thank you SE!

Hyped for naval combat! Fighting Davy Jones’ crew should also be awesome, each one could have a different attack style based on the fish or shellfish they’re fused with, it has interesting potential. In KH2 Jack promised that he’d try to get Sora’s Keyblade the next time they met, I look forward to this little sub-story getting completed. I wish Luxord was used in a different world, though. We’ve already seen Luxord troll Jack, I want to see brand new interactions. And I’m 99% certain Moana will be used in Kingdom Hearts 4 or whatever the next game is called, all these expensive water and sailing assets will surely be used again.
I’m really curious about how the Wind Titan fight will go. How can you hurt a tornado? Herc just grabbed it and gave it a throw but I don’t think Sora can do something like that.

And now we see that there's organization membbers in each world.And Luxord is back for Pirates which was his world in KH2.
So who is left from the Organization that has not claimed a world?
Oh wait Lauxeus is definitely confirmed. You see his sword in the KH3 wallpaper background. So that just leaves Demyx.
Cause Ienzo is not a Nort. So one more spot for that.
We can determine the remaining worlds based on membebrs of the organization that have not had confirmed worlds.

I highly doubt they've been passed. They just won't show that in this trailer. You can tell Tia Dalma is still very much Calypso based on how she held the crab in the trailer. I definitely think we're getting that incredible Maelstrom fight in the game.

I don't think Lexaeus is in as we saw him waking up as his somebody, Aeleus, in DDD along with Xaldin, Zexion, and Vexen. I think Demyx and Saix will have their own world? Or who knows, maybe Saix is the one delegating missions again?

Now that is something I would love to see especially with the rain pouring down and the whirlpool in the background looking incredible in Unreal Engine 4.

They finally nailed the artstyle & aesthetics. Now Sora doesn't look so out of place like in KH2. Donald & Goofy will hardly fit in any live action film so I'll give them a pass, but they still look amazing on their own.

I admit I was dissapointed at first with Pirates being confirmed since that basically means no TP or Atlantis but Sora and co look amazing in those outfits. <3
I KNEW IT!!!! The whole premise of the of Davy Jones saga is about hearts, so I had a feeling that they'd include it. I think that they wanted to revisit Pirates of the Caribbean due to the new graphics as well, it looks great.
The only bad thing about inclusion of Pirates of the Caribbean is that it means Treasure Planet has literally no chance of being in the game, also seeing this underwater part also pretty much dents the chance of Atlantis appearing.
I guess that we'll have to wait and see. I feel happy now though because now I know that there are more Disney worlds in the game. Crisis averted!!! :cool::cool:

Oh man! I think I'm gonna die... These last couple of days have been...CRAZY!!! AND I'VE LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! I am totally in love with this game and series more than ever before! This is the the one world I wanted most to return in my top favs from KH, and now...in never before seen detail it has become a reality. Oh....! This is all killing me! Nomura... I don't hink I could be any happier than I am RIGHT NOW!
After waiting all this time for the finale you start to fear your expectations might have too much time to grow really high and the title you're so anxious to experience and uncover won't bring everything you want to see and make it up to the mark. But I can finally sleep now, this is BEYOND what I was imagining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EPIC...that would be an understatement now!

That's the best part of it. While Luxord could be referring to the Master of Master's secret box, he could also be looking for the Dead Man's Chest to gain control of Davy Jones. It could go either way. I'm leaning on the Dead Man's Chest myself since that would make Luxord more involved with the world's plot and Davy Jone's heart being in a box could have piqued Xehanort's curiosity.
It could go either way, which is why I think this is a really great scene to tease at. Like... maybe Maleficent and Xehanort are both looking for the Master's box like this implies, or maybe they have an interest in Davy Jones. And while I'm 100% convinced that Jack Sparrow was thinking about Davy Jones' chest, that's very misleading (in a good way?) for people not so familiar with this movie.
It's a nice story connection between KH and the Disney worlds, regardless. I really like how most of the games so far are incorporating the Disney worlds into the KH story/lore, and not just cutting and pasting them in like they've done in every game since KH2.

I am literally overwhelmed by the amount of reveals. *takes a deep breath, exhales* Okay, I am on the boat that thinks that neither Jungle Book or Atlantis have a chance now with the introduction of the Caribbean. The jungle segments in POTC and diving parts cover both types of environments from that world.
Other than that, I wonder how Master Xehanort got wind of the MoM's Box, and why would he want it. Xehanort is too interested in stuff from the Age of Fairy Tales. Also, I wonder if the fact that Davy Jones' heart was in a box could be a parallel to the contents of the Master's Box.
I hated Pirates in KH2- it's definitely one of my least favorite worlds across all the games- but after the trailer and all the story/visual/gameplay changes, this could be one of my favorites for KH3.

Definitely remember. And when it happened the only thing I had in mind was incorporating the fact that Davy Jones is a literal heartless would work marvelously! It made the reveal all the more sweeter when it was At World's End and SDG look the part more!

I just don't understand why people think diving would only be usable in one world too when mechanics like scaling/air diving is usable in almost all.

For real. Their stories are nothing alike, they have totally different aesthetics, and a massive chunk of Atlantis is crazy underground caverns. So far, we haven't had a cave biome in KH3. Plus the actual city itself is Ancient Ruins aesthetic, in addition to being partially flooded. It won't be like any of the more modern cities, it'd have a distinct style difference from the castle town for Corona or Arendelle, and it has st least one totally unique section. It just seems like such a leap to discount it because water... even their underwater environs would be different. Open sea versus flooded town.

Yeah I missed this too tbh, kinda glad cuz I screamed so much when it got revealed lol. I wasn't excited at all for Frozen cuz it got leaked so long ago. I mean, seeing it was nice, like I was impressed with the visuals but its not the same.

I actually have never watched Atlantis so I'll take your word on that. While it does make sense to reuse the diving segments, they could also incorporate that into the section of Tangled when the dam breaks and we did see Sora fall into the river in Olympus, so they might incorporate some form of swimming in the game regardless.

Proud member of Team Demyx for any potential Atlantis world since Day 1 here. While the element of the world doesn't necessarily have to line up with the darkness, I really need a dance water dance x1000 for Atlantis.
You can see Lexaues weapoin in the background of KH3 so he's gotta bbe bback. All the weapons you see on there with organization members are those that are abck, so he would be as well.
I kind of hope that we get Jungle Book and Atlantis reveals in TGS and Jump Festa but I think by December we'll know the full list.

This is without even mentioning the massive cave biome path just to reach the city, would be a big aspect of the world too. Really, Atlantis as a whole is a culmination of so many diverse aspects, especially with potential gameplay mechanics.
I personally think Master Xehanort/Terranort would be ideal for this world. I would hate to see both of the big bosses being regulated solely to original worlds.
Maybe this time Jack is worthy enough for a keyblade. Hell Sora might be able to give him one since he technically qualifies as a master

Okay, I'm finally going to break my silence. While yes Atlantis isn't one of my favorite Disney animated films that grew with me when I first watched it the first time, I'd give the film credit for a couple of things I enjoyed from the film:

I wouldn't be surprised IF Atlantis is announced as a world in the game, regardless if Disney doesn't pay much attention to the film as much, b
ut at the same time, I'm ambivalent. Ambivalent, not because of the film not being relevant or I'm completely against the film as a world, it's just............it's just overhyping ourselves to when we expect something it's bound to happen only to be surprised/disappointed that the world you longed for isn't in the game, which is the same reason why the majority of the fandom (myself included) we're overhyping that Treasure Planet was going to be the Pirate world in place of Pirates of the Caribbean for III, due to Roy Conli's involvement only to be perplexed and surprised that Pirates of the Caribbean was returning as a world for III when the trailer came out.Now Nomura and his team did put in a few Disney Films as worlds in their previous games due to popular demand and requests from people such as The Nightmare Before Christmas (first game and Kingdom Hearts II, particularly the latter) and especially The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Dream Drop Distance), and those that were obscure like Tron (Kingdom Hearts II) and Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers (although I do remember watching this film prior to it's reveal in DDD) (Dream Drop Distance), so perhaps Atlantis could have its moment to shine of recognition once again. But, still, I remain ambivalent about this situation.
Personally, while it's fun to speculate and hype what the remaining worlds are going to be in III, overhyping ourselves demandingly for this world to appear might become an obsession. If the world is announced and is in III cool, just as long as we don't brag about and telling others "I'm right your wrong" in a very prideful cause it can turn off others. And if the world isn't in the game, it's okay to be disappointed but don't make this into a huge deal and attack on others on seeing the worlds they wanted appear in the game. I mean when Wreck-It Ralph was announced as a summon and Pirates of the Caribbean was announced as a returning world instead of Treasure Planet I was surprised and disappointed but I didn't let my anger and frustrations took over me and just focused on the excitement for their inclusions in the game.
Still, I really excited on the remaining three Disney worlds set to appear in the game.

Thanks for the gifs. Now that I see it, I do think that the ruins and the greenery might be too close to Hercules rather than POTC, if anything. After all, the Atlantis myth originates from Greek mythology.
There's also an aspect of popularity, familiarity, and relevancy. From Nomura's comments, it seems POTC was added because they wanted to explore the world with the new engine and graphics. And people were saying they wanted more returning worlds besides Hercules.
I've wanted all of the Titans to appear for SO LONG. Dream come true.
ME TOO! When I heard Olympus was returning all those years ago and we saw the Rock Titan, I remember thinking that with the PS4 hardware, now would be the ideal time to finally get all the Titans into the series. I had given up on the idea, and then seeing all of the Titans together in this trailer made me lose my mind.
Now all I need is Bahamut to appear somewhere in this game.
