TGS 2018 Lineup Confirms KH3 Trailer, Demo, and Panel with Special Guests

Update 9/14/2018: An unnamed member of the KH3 development team will now be participating in the panel. There will also be a Q&A segment. Fans can submit questions to be answered by tweeting with the #TGS2018KH3ステージ hashtag. All questions must be submitted by 9/17 at 23:59 JST.
Though it's not surprising that Kingdom Hearts III is showing up at this year's Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix has unveiled its lineup and KH3 has a starring role!
Kingdom Hearts III has been confirmed to have a playable demo, a trailer, and a panel at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
The Kingdom Hearts III stage panel will be live-streamed September 22nd on Square Enix Presents starting at around 12:50 PM and ending about 1:40 PM Japanese Time. The panel will be hosted by comedian Akira Kawashima and will feature special guests Miyu Irino (Japanese voice of Sora) and Megumi Toyoguchi (Japanese voice of Aqua).
The World Ends With You -Final Remix- is also scheduled to appear with a new trailer and a panel on the 23rd at 3:10 PM featuring the game's director Tatsuya Kando, Kouki Uchiyama (voice of Neku) and Ryohei Kimura (voice of Joshua).

Yes! So exciting, and love seeing the panel with the VA's for Sora and Aqua in Japan. Here we go! Who knows what we will see in the next trailer, it's always a surprise and a thrill!

Well they could reveal two worlds in one trailer, especially since San Fransokyo isn't a surprise. To me, whenever SE announces they'll be doing one thing with KH3, I tend to expect an extra surprise somewhere along the way.

Same! I think one of many factors why we haven’t seen San Fransokyo yet could be that they wanted to wait until after they revealed Aqua as a vessel. If they’d shown her in San Fransokyo first, it would have felt too out of place.

I don't want to see Aqua. I know it's probably unavoidable but it gives me such low emotions. I'd prefer Saix or even Demyx, just to avoid being totally deflated.

It would definitely seem they're setting up something with her, why bring her voice actress in if she can't discuss her role in the game at all beyond the three seconds we've seen? I wouldn't be surprised if the trailer starts with her and either shows or gives a strong hint at what happened in the RoD: Nomura doesn't seem to consider it a major spoiler but he also didn't expect people to react strongly to it so maybe he's trying to make up for that.

I can understand that. I think Nomura might have gone with Aquanort because if Riku and Mickey had saved her she could have potentially gone to collect Ventus early. Though things might play out differently since going by that scene with Ansem and Xemnas they still lack their final member despite Aqua being norted, lol.

Classic Kingdom should be a nice enjoyable event until TGS. I AM SO READY! I'm very happy to see things are finally moving again.

The thrill of the old BbS trailers was seeing Master Xehanort in Olympus Coliseum and I was crushed when they moved that whole conversation and scene to a different location. It’d be nice if they brought him into more worlds than just the final one.

I was disappointed about that too.
I'm hoping this time he's at least apart of one Disney world, especially with this being his last hurrah. I'm just gonna find it really disappointing if he's barely interacting with Sora till the very last moments.
Them face to face beforehand would go a great way in increasing the tension.

This is stuff that can’t be answered until the game comes out. She could have somehow known she would succumb to the darkness and sent the Master Keeper away (hence the concept trailer in 2013) and that’s why she can’t get to Ven.

I know. I mean, if I’m wrong, I’m wrong. I just have a hard time seeing a character SO important like Aqua being involved in that.
However, we as a fan base have been complaining since KH2 that the Disney worlds haven’t been important to the main story since KH1, so maybe it is possible. Who knows?
Sora as to confront Aqua at some point, she's going to be a Vessel until the end of the game.
So between being Radinat Gardens where her armor and Keyblade are kept or well BH6 world so we can la that issue finall to bed.
Good to know we finally getting a new trailer, it's also very likely for aqua to show up on it since the voice actor will be there.

Mad respect to Miyu Irino. I very much do not enjoy listening to the Japanese dub of KH, but having played 2 games in Japanese, (KH1 original out of curiosity and RE:Coded via emulator around it's release) the guy has kept his Sora ridiculously consistent and emotive and engaging, which can be easy to let slip after 16 years.
I really hope we can see some SICK MENU ACTION in the next trailer. My wildest hope is an appearance from Jiminy and his journal, with a new robust UI and cool detailed sections.

Also like Baymax, she sacrificed herself for her friends and was left alone in a place that could drive anybody mad. She’d feel a kinship to him.

Agreed. I also think San Fransokyo is such an epic and unique world that it needs an epic and unique Organization member to match.

Would be cute if she treated Dark Baymax affectionately like Ventus. At least it would show she has some of her original self left despite Xehanort's influence.

Well, of course. Square's not going to go out of their way to clarify where they're not going to show a trailer. I do think its possible that the TGS trailer will debut at the pre-show and then maybe a longer version will be shown at the stage event. But given that the KH3 stage presentation is 50 minutes long, I won't be surprised if they save the trailer for the actual event itself.

Frankly, I do not think that to be a very good use of valuable development time. It's a waste in a few ways-- urban cityscapes are done in other games much better than will be done in KH3 (though I understand that San Fransokyo has it's own funky architecture and theme to set it apart), and scattering treasures throughout a city level could become a little boring.
It almost goes against all the other level design we've been shown. KH3's worlds have all seemed like very spacious and detailed 'adventuring maps', with interesting ways to get from point A to point B, be it traveling through vents, riding pirate ships, sledding, swinging from trees, or rail sliding through large corridors. This makes me think that instead of going through the effort to make a giant city level, we'll have a few key places of interest that we can travel to via flight, with that being this world's traversal gimmick.
With this in mind, we may select where we want to fly to in a menu, and then go on a flying minigame where you fight enemies in the sky; it could either be a more standard autoscroller, or we could have free motion in the air, like flight in KH1 or Star Fox 64's All Range Mode. I've wondered the same thing. If they didn't limit exploration somehow, SanFran would essentially be a mini self-contained open world game which could absolutely bog down the pacing of the world, or make exploration feel out of place since you'd just be flying around aimlessly as opposed to exploring these adventurous maps with lots of variety and neat hidden secrets.

Oh really? I didn't know that at all. That's so sad, I feel so bad for Nomura. Having a project that was so near and dear to him be taken from him the way it was, to the point where even drawing his own character makes him upset, breaks my heart. In that case, I expect nothing from XV to make it in and I am totally okay with that.

I mean, you could say the same thing with Disney content. How long could they keep putting in new Disney properties? The well of Square Enix content has a LOT more to pull from that the Disney side of things due to the FF aspect being mainly confined to cameos, so at this rate, they could probably keep it going for several more console generations.

I have no doubt SanFran will be full of NPCs and the like. The Tangled footage we've seen has proved that Square is finally adding NPCs to make the worlds feel alive this time. I just hope that they find a way to make the environment itself as fun and adventurous as they've shown the other worlds to look. I hope we can flowmotion on powerlines, for example.
One thing that REALLY worries me though is if they keep those "shiny walls" to indicate where you can wall-run in the final game, can you IMAGINE how bad that will look in SanFran with all of its city architecture?

Also like Baymax, she sacrificed herself for her friends and was left alone in a place that could drive anybody mad. She’d feel a kinship to him.

I agree with your statement alongside with Zip. Frankly, I am indifferent on who would be the Darkness for the Big Hero 6 world, but I really think that Aqua is set to be the darkness for Big Hero 6 world as it would be an emotional punch for Sora's character development.

Big Hero 6 is in the third set of Disney worlds alongside Pirates of the Caribbean so I don't think that some of the areas like the Cities, Skyscrapers, Hiro's House, Fred's Mansion, and the San Fransokyo Insititute will be inaccessible or be like empty movie sets/large rooms devoid of NPC's back in Kingdom Hearts II.

I dunno, if we will get a new Final Fantasy character for Olympus much like in the previous games (Cloud - KH, Auron - KH2, Zack - BBS) cause now that Disney is now heavily involved with the Disney worlds including Olympus in KH3 instead of just Square Enix, they might be stepping back from the use of FF characters in this world and just have it stay true to the original movie compared to the past games that adapted Olympus/ Olympus Coliseum. Not to mention, that the KH3 plot is taking place during the climax of the movie (Hades and The Titans invading Olympus) and judging by the latest scenes from the E3 trailers and the Orchestra trailer (that remains exclusive but has been leaked by a few people)[SIZE=2], It doesn't look like we will be getting another Final Fantasy character in Sora's party.[/SIZE]

Also, even if the information is still correct that world story is still roughly the same length as 0.2 (and to be blunt, I get the impression that may be outdated by now), it's worth remembering that we had, if you're stingy, 4 boss fights in A Fragmentary Passage. The Demon Tower, three Phantom Aqua but I'll count her as one, the Darksider, and the Demon Tide. So depending on how you look at it, either 4 or 6 boss encounters.

Sorry about that, I'm not literally saying that each Disney world will be 3 bosses per world like in 0.2 nor am I disregarding the other KH games and the number of bosses each world had, It's just it's difficult to decide how much we will be getting in KH3 and what is considered to be the early, mid-level to final bosses and the mini-bosses we get. Birth by Sleep (except the Keyblade Graveyard) and Dream Drop Distance (except for Country of the Musketeers and The World That Never Was for Riku) had ONLY one boss per world due to the software limitations whereas Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II the worlds had normally 1-2 bosses and/or 3-4 bosses per world depending on how you see it. Look, I do not want to disregard the number of bosses we will be getting per world in KH3. It could be 3 bosses per world or it be could 4-6 bosses per world just like the example you brought up regarding the bosses in Olympus' first visit in KH2.
Lastly, in regards to the XIII Seekers of Darknesses in the worlds, you will be visiting, it's a coin toss, but from what I'm seeing from the latest trailers it doesn't seem Sora will be fighting Xigbar in Olympus nor Ansem and Xemnas in Twilight Town so more than likely it will be in the game's final world where you get to fight them. It remains to be seen if Vanitas, Young Xehanort, Marluxia, Larxene and Luxord will be fought but either:
1. You fight them in the Disney world they are at only to retreat once they are defeated, and then fighting them in the final battle, Just like you fought Demyx the first time during the first visit at Olympus Coliseum before retreating up until his demise at Hollow Bastion in Kingdom Hearts II.
2. They aren't fought as a boss in the world SDG visit and won't be fought as a boss until the game's final world.
I feel like we'll definitely see FF characters in this new trailer. TGS is a massive event and I think this would be the right time to show the old gang as well as one or two new FF characters. While keeping the other new ones for later on down the line.
@Kingrsoraful I agree normally these kinds of events (Tokyo Game Show and Jump Festa) tend to be one of the best places where we can expect to see some Final Fantasy characters to show up in one of the trailers.
In terms of the number of FF characters, we will be getting, well previously the first Kingdom Hearts had 9 (10 if you count the Moogles) KH2 had 10-11 New Final Fantasy characters introduced, and Nomura had this to say in an interview at E3:
| "When you look back on the first Kingdom Hearts, Sora was still a new character, so we kind of had the Final Fantasy characters as supporting characters," Nomura says. "But now that it's been 15 years, the original characters are more polished than they were before, so I don't think they need the Final Fantasy characters help as much as they did before. [...] Also, when we first released Kingdom Hearts, there weren't that many other titles that brought together the Final Fantasy characters. I actually think that Kingdom Hearts may have been the first to do that. But nowadays, there are an abundance of titles that do that, so I don't see the value of having that kind of feature in the game anymore. But that doesn't mean that I'm saying that there won't be any Final Fantasy characters. Please look forward to future information." |
So it seems we will be seeing some FF characters including the returning ones, and also some new FF characters (e.g. Lightning, Noctis etc.) in the game, it's just won't be as many like in KH2 given that Nomura wants to focus on the Original KH characters, so perhaps in between 4-8 new FF characters.

Organization aside yeah, I think now is probably the time to put out the FF characters and show us some more Gummi gameplay. I also kinda wish they'd show us the ability/equip screens.

Not really, as Alpha Baymax said to me Abigail can be bridge character that tells the Big Hero 6 team and SDG about other worlds when she was in her pod from the film before she went unconscious. So it's possible we will get to see her in some capacity compared to the small role she played in the movie.

I think Demyx is also another possible darkness cause much like Marluxia, Larxene and Luxord we hardly know much on Demyx's origins on who he was before becoming a Nobody and where he came from compared to the other Org. members (Saix, Xehanort, Ansem the Wise's apprentices). I would be surprised if he wasn't among the darknesses given that we already got Marluxia, Larxene, and Luxord in the group.
Perhaps the Marluxia scene could show up in this month's trailer, so we shall see.

Well Demyx certainly could be, and I know a lot of people count Terranort even though he is currently unconfirmed. By my count the confirmed members are at 10, with 3 unrevealed/unconfirmed. Of those 10, 2 haven't been shown off so... we have 5 Organization members to see and about 4 and a half months till release. I really hope that means we'll be seeing like 2 Organization XIII reveals per event.

It might not be so obvious to some but I think something like the Emperor's New Groove would work well with a somewhat original plot but still using the characters and setting. There really isn't anything that's a detriment to its inclusion other than I doubt its the first thing people think of.
Atlantis is only hindered by how its a cult classic but I mean, we got Mickey, Donald, and Goofy the Three Musketeers lol, so I hope that doesn't matter so much. It would be such a great world. And now we have some nice swimming mechanics thanks to Pirates.

No, it didn’t, unless I’m forgetting some worlds. Aside from Tron, every Disney film was released during the Renaissance and beyond, starting with Little Mermaid. This isn’t counting Timeless River or Winnie the Pooh since the former is pre-Golden Age and the latter pulls from multiple works released over several decades.
For reference, the Disney Golden Age is the late 1930s-40s and the Silver Age is the 50s-late 60s. After that is the Dark Age from 1970-88.
It may still be too early for this, but after watching the BH6 trailer a couple times I'm fully ready for the full version of "Don't Think Twice" to drop. I just realized I really want it, haha.
And then at Jump Festa they could use the upbeat OP remix everyone's been craving.

I agree I'm really am looking forward to whichever new Disney world they will reveal for next Friday's event, I wouldn't mind a Traditional animated Disney movie given that Hercules is the ONLY 2D animated movie so far in the game.

I agree, while I might feel disappointed if one of my favorite Disney animated films isn't included I at least will be satisfied with the likes of Tangled, Big Hero 6, Frozen, Toy Story and Monster's Inc. being in the game as they are one of my favorite Disney/Disney-Pixar films. So looking forward to see what is the new Disney world announced (hoping its a traditional animated movie or Wreck-It Ralph).

Not to mention I've seen others in discussions compare the Island/Jungle areas of The Caribbean, being too similar to the Jungle Book, so I don't see why not I mean besides the Jungle you also have King Louie's Temple and the Barren wastelands where the Vultures live.

I feel like they didn't do the main section of the film since the BBS cast were more "serious" and the light-hearted nature of SDG would go well with that film. I wouldn't mind seeing Stitch again in his full homeworld and follow the same pattern as Mushu and Simba who started off a Summons in the first game before appearing in their home worlds in Kingdom Hearts II. Plus it would tie into his connection with the Wayfinder Trio, if we might not see them again in the next saga. However, if Lilo & Stitch isn't a world then that's fine I wouldn't mind for the character or element of the film appear in Gummi Ship Missions.

Well there is WIR if it appears in KH3. Even without Ralph and Vanellope there is still Felix and Calhoun. And Jungle Book could give us Bagheera and Baloo.
I think there will some situations where the other BH6 members will join. This was hopefully a compromise to feature all of them.
But yeah, I hope we have another world with two party members. I really want Sergeant Calhoun to bark commands and insults at us in the midst of battle. Lol

I'm hoping there can be a segment, or even boss, where all of Big Hero 6 is in your party, even if Hiro is on Baymax the whole time. It just seems like only Baymax in your party for the whole world would be a major let down. Especially with the Unreal Engine 4s capabilities.

No you sure are not. I didn't want that at first, but now, when I give this a second thinking, maybe it would be great. If they want to make the worlds unique, having a desert\arabic themed world is a really good way to do that ins't?

Hopefully in a future interview by Tetsuya Nomura he will go into detail as to why Baymax is the ONLY main Party Member for the Big Hero 6 world and what his plans are for Hiro and the rest of the gang (Go Go, Honey Lemon, Fred and Wasabi) just like how he revealed why the characters from Frozen aren't in Sora's party. I think it will be the following options:
A. Have Hiro and the gang (Go Go, Honey Lemon, Fred and Wasabi) be temporary party members in a certain section of San Fransokyo for SDG and Baymax during Heartless battles or Bosses, much like how they did it in BBS where some characters (e.g. Mickey, Experiment 626, Zack, Hercules) acted as temporary party members for Terra, Ventus, and Aqua during enemy battles and boss fights.

B. Have Hiro, Go Go, Honey Lemon, Fred and Wasabi be assistant characters for SDG and Baymax in the world, just like how Leon and the other FF characters (Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie) helped/assisted Sora in the battle of Hollow Bastion in Kingdom Hearts II.

That's what I'm hoping for. It would be unfortunate if Hiro and the Gang aren't temporary party members or assist characters for SDG in this world.

It makes sense from a narrative standpoint because in the film, during the parley scene Jack Sparrow was traded for Will Turner and remained in the Flying Dutchman up until the Maelstrom fight. I think that during the Maelstrom fight before SDG reunite with Jack Sparrow for the boss fight against Davy Jones on the Flying Dutchman, perhaps it could play out like the Hollow Bastion fight in KH2 where the trio team up with Will, Elizabeth and Barbossa as either temporary party members or assist characters battling Heartless and the Crew of the Flying Dutchman on the Black Pearl before making their way to fight Jones on the Flying Dutchman. But as Sora2016 said none of them had stand-out abilities and might be too similar to the moveset of Jack Sparrow.

Where are you getting that information? Aside from the introduction, the only thing Hiro says to them is to “protect the others,†which is likely referring to the other members of Big Hero 6. He never says what you described.

Oh man you're right, sorry about that, I misinterpreted on what Hiro said on what he meant by "Protect the others" in the trailer assuming it was the people in San Fransokyo but in actuality it's the other members of the team.
As to what role they will play in the actual game it will be the following options for Hiro and the other members of the Team:
A. Like you said above, SDG plus Baymax will assist Hiro and the other team members (Go Go, Honey Lemon, Fred and Wasabi) in a section of San Fransokyo and act as the temporary party members during Heartless battles or Bosses, much like how in BBS where some characters (e.g. Mickey, Experiment 626, Zack, Hercules) acted as temporary party members for Terra, Ventus, and Aqua during enemy battles and boss fights.

B. Have Hiro, Go Go, Honey Lemon, Fred and Wasabi be assistant characters for SDG and Baymax in an area of the city, much like how Leon and the other FF characters (Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie) acted as assistant characters for Sora during the Heartless enemy battles at Hollow Bastion in Kingdom Hearts II.
Hopefully, Tetsuya Nomura will give an explanation regarding his plans for Hiro and the rest of the gang in an interview for next week cause I really would like to have them as assistant characters or temporary party members in an area for this world for SDG plus Baymax.

The other 4 members have more experience in combat, Hiro can't use the microbots this time around, so that rules out that ability. I'm sure there could be other ways to incorporate skills for Hiro, but that's not my biggest concern. The real heart of BH6 was Hiro & Baymax's deep connection. It's like seperating Ash from Pikacchu, Hiccup from Toothless, Dorothy from Toto and etc. Some characters are built up from a duo dynamic or very close bond. These sort of characters are harder to separate or introduce to new faces if they will be apart. That's just my point of view.

No you're definitely right that was the heart of the movie for sure, I guess since this is after the movie's events that makes it easier to maybe not focus on that though lol. I guess also, for what its worth, Baymax is more heavily marketed solo from Hiro since he was the fan favorite character. So I'm not surprised they would separate them for this.

To a degree. It'll be much harder to translate, but we may be able to power through the livestream.
(Even though we have translators who are great and we prefer them to tackle stuff, the majority of the staff have a basic knowledge of Japanese and linguistics so we can throw together translations that are accurate but not, like, glowing)

Oh yeah, all this excitement for the extended trailer on Tuesday (Monday for the west) and I completely forgot about the actual TGS event happening next weekend. Really hoping for that boxart.

Square Enix have updated their TGS 2018 website. The KH3 panel will now include an unnamed member of the development team.
There will also be a Q&A segment during the panel. Fans can submit questions by tweeting with the #TGS2018KH3ステージ hashtag.

With the comments on the lack of Final Fantasy and Sora being able to just call up the people there instead of visiting them, it seems incredibly unlikely that we will visit that world, which is a shame since KHII left off on a positive note that when we visit it next as Sora it will be a world built by our friends and restored to its former glory.

Yeah, same here... Radiant Garden is favourite OW :( But let's be hopefull til the end eh? I like to think that Nomura wouldn't be that dumb lol
I hope we get an original world reveal sometime next week. I think it’s overdue since we’ve been seeing Twilight Town for ages. I also think we should get a new summon reveal and the announcement of the new UX world. I think if Ralph is the world, they would have announced it on the 3rd anniversary. I could surely be wrong, but I think they’ll reveal the summon in KH3 and then announce their world is coming to Union Cross as a follow up.
I still think Radiant Garden is likely. It's been such a staple in the series that I doubt it wouldn't come back for the finale. Plus if they show it on Saturday they could confirm 100 Acre Woods.
In terms of complexity I would say that Radiant Garden is on par with Big Hero 6 if not even more so in terms of content, so it is entirely possible that RG will be one of the worlds that gets revealed rather late in the last batch simply because it has so many assets that need to be created.
In BBS when it was at its prime and fully intact it looked huge and very vast in terms of locations despite TAV being able to visit only a fraction of it in general.
Now if they want to make parts of Ansem's castle accessible for KH III as well the time needed to properly build it increases even more.

Plenty of reasons honestly. For Sora he has Leon and gang to visit along with 100 acre wood. Kairi obviously training with Lea and if they aren't there to begin with they have reason to seeing they are both originally from there. As for Riku he's more than likely going to be with Mickey the whole time. Who may need access to ansems stuff at some point? I'm sure they'll come up with something. While it may not be a first visit thing, a world like RG warrants multiple trips.

I’m not sure they know about Lingering Will though? I do think LW will be key to Terra’s return, but I think Riku and Mickey will have to learn about him during their search for Terra before they know to look for him. Sora’s meeting may or may not be canon, I’m not sure. But even if it is, I don’t know if Sora would put two and two together knowing him.

Us fans always talk about wanting the world because we want to get closure on some side stories, and I can see a discussion taking place early on in KH3's dev cycle about how it isn't justifiable to put in a world just to tie up some loose ends with some side characters.
And that is incredibly disappointing, since this game is supposedly about closure and we aren't closing out the story of the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee restoring their home world to its former glory.
The December leak only had a few details on Radiant Garden, of which we have now seen. All of the data there corresponded with Ansem's computer room. That's not to say that it's 100% confirmed that we'd only see that part of the world, but I just don't get any faith in getting to visit the Capital of Light :(

My thing with the 100 Acre Woods, after initially being excited for that world, is that we don't really need a mini-game exclusive world.
Each world has their own mini-games. We dance with Rapunzel, we shoot things in Monstropolis, we Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots in Toy Box, and we cook food with Remy in Twilight Town. With all these mini-games spread out throughout the different worlds, what point is there to having a dedicated mini-game world? They could try to give it its own story without the mini-games, for once, but that feels like removing the heart of the 100 Acre Wood world.
Since the leak only had a handful of assets for 100 Acre Woods, namely Rabbit's House, and some of the summons have over-the-top summoning animations, I wonder if they were actually making a Winnie the Pooh a summon and it works like the Magic Tea Cups Attraction Flow, where you ride around on a honey pot hitting enemies.
And if Ralph can fall out of a video game screen, then I can easily see Winnie the Pooh sliding out of a page of the book on a honey pot.

For years, all we've had to go on is "King Mickey and Riku search for previous Keyblade wielders."
We know they find Aqua, moving on to the next one seems like the most logical step in their journey but who knows what they'll actually do.
My thing with the 100 Acre Woods, after initially being excited for that world, is that we don't really need a mini-game exclusive world.
Each world has their own mini-games. We dance with Rapunzel, we shoot things in Monstropolis, we Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots in Toy Box, and we cook food with Remy in Twilight Town. With all these mini-games spread out throughout the different worlds, what point is there to having a dedicated mini-game world? They could try to give it its own story without the mini-games, for once, but that feels like removing the heart of the 100 Acre Wood world.
Since the leak only had a handful of assets for 100 Acre Woods, namely Rabbit's House, and some of the summons have over-the-top summoning animations, I wonder if they were actually making a Winnie the Pooh a summon and it works like the Magic Tea Cups Attraction Flow, where you ride around on a honey pot hitting enemies.
And if Ralph can fall out of a video game screen, then I can easily see Winnie the Pooh sliding out of a page of the book on a honey pot.
Didn't Jim Cummings also hint at voicing Tigger? Though I suppose they could always do duel summons. I was ready for a 100 Acre Woods, but if it isn't appearing I guess that's another free slot.

Of course we don't know, I never said it was aha, I've only ever spoken from a speculative point of view. But, to me, it seems highly unlikely given what they are focusing on in this game.

I guess I just figured they wouldn't leave all the character's there hanging. Also Radiant Garden has been relevant to every numbered title, especially if we include BBS in that which I do.

I wouldn't be too sure about Agrabah returning, besides exploring the Palace and doing the King of Thieves storyline with perhaps traveling to The Vanishing Isle (Turtle Island), I just don't think the world will come back and the ocean travel might be too similar to the Pirates of the Caribbean world. Realistically if Agrabah doesn't return I could see Aladdin appear as a summoning link for Sora where he uses his swords and the Genie to attack enemies. Also much like Ariel, Wreck-It Ralph and Simba his element could be Sand/Earth.

Us fans always talk about wanting the world because we want to get closure on some side stories, and I can see a discussion taking place early on in KH3's dev cycle about how it isn't justifiable to put in a world just to tie up some loose ends with some side characters.
And that is incredibly disappointing, since this game is supposedly about closure and we aren't closing out the story of the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee restoring their home world to its former glory.

It also seems that Twilight Town is set to be the Main hub world this time in Kingdom Hearts III instead of Radiant Garden, given that aside from visiting the world several times in the game you also have to bring in the ingredients to Remy from the different worlds you visited. I wouldn't be surprised if Radiant Garden ONLY appears in just cutscenes and in addition for Winnie the Pooh to be a summoning link for Sora in the game if 100 Acre Wood doesn't come back as a world.
Also in the December leak, I don't think we will be visiting Disney Castle in the game given the small assets that were in the files (e.g. Pluto's Bed, The Library) so perhaps it could ONLY be seen in Cutscenes just like in Kingdom Hearts I and Dream Drop Distance.

The announcement came with no official time, other than September 18th (Japan Time), which likely means sometime on the 17th for those in the U.S.
I think the consensus is midnight on the 18th Japan time seems likely, but it's unknown.

There is some conversation happening in the New Screenshot Thread. The speculation is that we’ll start to see this trailer rolling out starting at TGS possibly, but other than the new screenshot, there’s not a whole lot to discuss until it is confirmed and released I suppose.

I disagree aside from revisiting a few districts and the Old Mansion from KH2, Twilight Town is going to be much bigger in terms of scale and interaction in Kingdom Hearts III than how it was handled back in Kingdom Hearts II, so we would be exploring some new areas that were previously inaccessible.
I really hope we get a Lilo and Stitch world. Hawaii would look beautiful.

It would be great to explore Hawaii for the first time so we can meet up with Stitch and continue the story and also would repeat the same pattern in the previous numbered titles with the Disney summons much like how Simba and Mushu first starting out as a summons for Sora in Kingdom Hearts before appearing in their respective homeworlds in Kingdom Hearts II. Not to mention the background of Hawaii was in Stitch summoning sequence for Sora.
If it doesn't appear in the game then I at least wouldn't mind having 1-2 more other Disney worlds based on a Traditionally animated movie (e.g. Princess and the Frog, Jungle Book, etc.) to balance the Disney world lineup as Hercules seems to be the lone wolf of the bunch.

Actually, Nomura has said that the original worlds are more for story progression than gameplay and that they would mostly be graphical upgrades. I wouldn’t expect them to be as big as the Disney worlds, although there will probably be a few new areas in them. We know Twilight Town must have a new way to access the Mansion, for example.

Sounds about right. Ten Disney worlds always felt like the right amount when Nomura said there would be less than KH2. Aside from the minigame world and the princess one, the last one must be big if it's late stage like BH6 and Pirates. I'm excited for what Nomura has planned.

Nope he specifically said less Disney Worlds then in KH2. Which means Disney World wise it's at least at or more then KH. Otherwise he would have said KH. KH had 9 Disney Worlds. So I think that's why many said that the Disney World number is 10 in KH3. Which leaves us with 7 original worlds which go with the quote that says there's more total worlds in KH3 then in the entire series.
I feel like TGS is the best place to not only reveal another Disney World but also our first look at Radiant Garden and FF characters.
Then the final Disney World is revealed at Jump Festa in December.
Along with picking popular properties, keep in mind that Nomura is also thinking of how each world can function differently in traversal mechanics and aesthetic. If we get a world reveal trailer 3 days from now, it should be plenty obvious WHY it was picked, as all trailers have deliberately shown off differences between worlds. I just hope we get old school Disney representation. I want The Jungle Book mainly because I know that if TJB does not get in KH3 then we will not see it in the foreseeable future of the franchise because we all know in the next game Zootopia is gonna be a world.
Zootopia, The Incredibles, and Moana are sure bets for the next KH title IMO.

I wouldn’t expect them to be as big as the Disney worlds, although there will probably be a few new areas in them. We know Twilight Town must have a new way to access the Mansion, for example. |
You got a point, however, as I said aside from visiting the previous areas of Twilight Town from KH2, their still the chance to include the other areas of TT that weren't explorable back then.
Even if the original worlds aren't as massive as the Disney worlds, there still isn't the need to just be stuck with the same areas from before if you can just add in other areas to expand the world. Lastly, aren't some of the Disney worlds in KH3 and in previous games also considered to be story progression besides being mostly gameplay, cause even if the Disney worlds are just for the aesthetic/gameplay they still provide character development and story connections to the KH plot?

There is still also Paris Games Week where they could also announce a Disney world for the game, then Jump Festa. Not to mention it would be the perfect event to reveal a world trailer based on Princess and the Frog given New Orleans, Louisiana having French influence and some Haunted Mansion attraction flow and Jack Skellington summoning link Gameplay as the event is in October
I'm expecting 3 more Disney world reveals to round up the 10 total Disney worlds in KH3 so I'm expecting this:

Another possibility that could work is that the Chest/Box that King Candy uses to hold the memories of the Racers and Inhabitants of Sugar Rush could be an interesting plot device that either a Seeker/Organization Member or Maleficent and Pete to go after it in this world thinking it's the Black Box (even though the Chest is a Golden coloration).

Depends on which animal Sora transforms into if we get a Jungle Book world and IF he turns into one. I could see him becoming either a Wolf (as the wolves in the original source material and the films did raise Mowgli), a Panther, or maybe even a Bear.
Sora doesn't need to be an animal in TJB though, he can be a man cub like Mowgli is. Although it would be aesthetically pleasing and different if he was an animal.
Wont getting another new world? Guys come on, I haven't seen a single FF character so far iirc. Have you forgot hollow bastion or traverse town? Or they might assemble in a total different place.

Less than 24 hours until Trailer Day! I’m expecting this one to maybe show a summon, attraction, Baymax last known attack, and a BH6 minigame. If there’s any other gameplay, I hope it’ll be from Pirates or Arendelle since we’ve seen the least of those. The rapid fire shots at the end might be slightly extended either with more of each shot or more shots overall. I’m hoping it is around 4-5 minutes up from the 1:43.
I don’t think we’ll get a new world reveal until Saturday’s event, but I hope I’m wrong.

Depends on how long the new trailer(s) at TGS will last, the Toy Story trailer at D23 2017 last year was 5:39 min. in length, the Monster's Inc. trailer revealed at D23 Japan 2018 back in February was 3:50 min, which was almost 4 minutes in length and the latest E3 trailers released back in June was 3:19 min. each. So realistically, I'm expecting this Monday/Tuesday's trailer to be the same length as the E3 trailers due to accommodating the Don't Think Twice song playing in the background in the second half of the trailer. I would be surprised for a 4-5 minute long trailer of last week's BH6 trailer as you said, but not getting my hopes up.
Perhaps a longer trailer that is 5-9 minutes in length could be shown at Jump Festa.

Not to mention the number of Disney worlds in KH3 is less than KH2 (which had 11 Disney worlds) to make up a total of 10 and Nomura said he wants to show them off before the game launches.

As I said, 4-5 minutes is the length I hope for. I’m aware of the length of the previous trailers. But considering this first trailer was shorter than the trailers at E3, they could make the extended version longer than those to balance it out.

It looks a bit limited to that boss fight in Pirates but imagine what they could do with a massive scale air battle like this. Ketaks are everywhere so i can see them being the "Skateboards" of that world too. I imagine they'll be parked at different corners and being able to ride them at anytime after a certain point.

i honestly think they’re talking about the trailer dropping in Japan. And they also specifically said Japan time. Which means that it won’t be the 18th for everyone else like the US when the trailer drops. So it’s likely dropping anytime between now and 11:59 pm tonight eastern for US. In the east coast it would be 3 am on the 18th. I don’t see that happening.

Just focus on the Japan time. That means it won’t be the 18th for the US when the trailer drops. And I don’t think they’re just taking into account the pacific coast when the east coast is 3 hrs.

I'm well aware of what the previous tweet says, but for the Western account that is in the PT time zone to tweet at 6am PT saying "tomorrow" without actually specifying which "tomorrow" they are talking about seems suspicious to me.

Welp, goodnight. On one hand I really wanted it to drop now so the stay up to 1am was worth it, but on the other hand at least I can get some sleep now.
i don't know why but i'm not really hyped for the trailer, it's likely gonna be 3:19 like e3 trailer, like what something big they can do in the other 1 minute and a half? likely new summon and organization member for big hero 6, so yeah.. no expecting much.

There are so many more cryptic partial profile shots they could flash in that extra minute, don't get Nomura started.
I think we'll probably see something notable but nothing huge, no world reveal or anything. If that's going to happen I'd expect it at TGS itself. I could see a character reveal, or they'll at least show us who the coat figure is from the short version (maybe). I imagine most people just want to see more of San Fransokyo. Maybe they'll confirm/deny a Baymax flying mechanic.

I mean, obviously everyone wants Big News all the time, but this is the drawback of their (apparent) marketing plan for this game, with multiple trailers for the big gaming events. The first few are kind of boring and repetitive, and then you get one big reveal at the end, if it goes like E3. E3 had Arendelle (not confirmed like BH6, but was obviously going to happen) and it was cool but didn't light the fandom on fire and was overshadowed by Aquanort. Looks like they're starting with BH6 this time to get people comfortable, then they'll drop something at TGS that is more or less unexpected. Maybe. We shouldn't get our hopes up?
This is why I wish they would just go back to doing full-length, full content trailers. Keep things simple. And quit it with the end-of-trailer blink-and-you'll-miss-it montages which I think started with DDD and felt sort of novel back then, but is just tired and gimmicky now. Really? I don't recall it and I watched the KH2 trailers pretty obsessively back in the day, but I also have terrible memory haha. I also don't recall any of the portable trilogy using it, and remember thinking it was going to become a thing after DDD.
Anyway I just think it's kind of silly to leave the fandom to crop together different screen shots just to figure out the face of a black coat who was on screen for a second, like there are way better teases they could drop in our laps. Not that I'm not guilty of leaning into it, just saying.
But now looking back on KH2, I'm slightly disappointed nobody made a joke about how it's gotta be Tidus. Wow this trend really does go back all that way.

I wouldn't be surprised if the full trailer for the BH6 world will pull an "Aquanort" for one of the Seekers of San Fransokyo and have that be the most talked about in the fandom than the actual BH6 world itself. At least with the Pirates of the Caribbean trailer, the world wasn't overshadowed by certain things in the trailer (aside from the Kairi and Lea scene, Riku and Riku replica) compared to the Frozen trailer.

Not everybody is going to positively respond to everything SE decides to do in terms of pitching this game to consumers. I watch the trailers because I want to and then I respond according to the information that is presented and how it is presented. With my opinion. You don't have to share it.

A phrase we haven't heard in a single one of these trailers. I mean I'm sure there'll be a big launch trailer like the one Dandelion posted above that'll do all the plot stuff justice but in the meantime it's just like, ohhh boy here's another half-obscured chess piece to try and figure out.
I think Nomura's playing it vague because he likes twists and this game will probably have lots of them and he doesn't want to "spoil" that element, sure, but that can so easily go either way I don't really feel like that increases my anticipation. If all the game has waiting or us is rabbits to pull out of hats it's going to be disappointing. Like I've been conditioned to believe that anything we see in trailers can't be expected to stick. Which kind of makes the trailers pointless.

Also, I noticed that the Japanese Square Enix channel has the BH6 titled, “TGS 2018 Trailer Short Vers.†So the long version might be the only other trailer we get as the exclusive TGS trailer as opposed to the three volumes from E3. Exactly. It's fine if they want to showcase every Disney world with a trailer for the hype points, but then maybe focus on the plot of the Disney world with respect our protagonists' journey. So far they seem more relevant to the Seekers than they do to the Guardians.

I think the stage show is bound to have new insight and information with or without a trailer, so I'm fine with whatever they do.
I actually like that all trailers so far are really vague. If they give us some clarification about something, the fandom can really connect dots and predict the whole story and how exactly it will turn out to be the events of the game.
I've seen this happening in other media and other games... It isn't nice, at least for me. Theorizing about something when you have actual info and proof for that can really spoil the story sometimes for others, especially if you are not a person who likes to make theories lol

Just saw that, my expectations for another trailer has been lowered.
Well if we don't get a third trailer, they could always tease a world during today's trailer without directly focusing on it. They could do that with a new keyblade with transformation or Sora opening Pooh's book

The only real "World Reveal" trailer Japan has had (and feel free to make corrections) was Monster's Inc back at D23 Japan 2018. There have been worlds that have come to light through previous trailers, like Olympus, but not a proper World Reveal. I imagine they are going end up showing the Japan fan's a lot of love and new content here at TGS. Just my thoughts though!

Agreed then you also got the Famitsu, Jump Magazine and Dengenki magazine articles centering on Kingdom Hearts III in the coming months, so it's best they start doing it asap instead of waiting around November to do it to reveal the latest information before the game launches in January. In fact, it's playing a lot like the Magazine reveals for 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue where they didn't consistently reveal information until after TGS and did it on a monthly basis when compared to KH2, BBS, and DDD on how they revealed information.

D23 2018 had two trailers, E3 had three and a fourth if you count the Orchestra Trailer. Every world announcement and showcase has had its own trailer, so it stands to reason if they're unveiling a new world, it might be with yet another trailer. There's going to be that full panel during this weekend's events as well. I don't know why you're acting like it's impossible to see something new during a panel. It happens all the time.

I was completely blown away by the onslaught of three trailers at E3, so honestly I don’t know that anything is off the table at this point.
