Yoichi Wada, originally Executive Director and CFO of Squaresoft, later President and Representative Director of Square Enix, is reportedly leaving his post as announced by Square Enix this morning. This is a "change subject to resolution" by the general meeting of shareholders to be held in late June this year, followed by a resolution by its board of directors meeting.

With the recent announcement of KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX- in western territories, the time has come for promotion to begin, and what better way to start it off than with a trailer? Originally featured at PAX East 2013 in Boston, Massachusetts, this trailer may seem familiar to those of you who've followed along since the title was originally announced at last year's Tokyo Game Show!

PAX East 2013 has officially begun, and yesterday fans around the world were treated to the very first English trailer for KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX- slated for release Fall 2013 for North America and Europe. Besides the trailer that is playing on the showfloor, it appears there is an early build of the localized version of KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX- at PAX East showing off a bit of Atlantica in KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX!

As the first week of sales close, it comes as no surprise to anyone that the official units of Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX- sold in the first week would be released online.

According to Famitsu, Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX- is the top seller in Japan, having sold 131,940 units in one week. Meanwhile, thanks to Aibo, we have learned that sales were recorded to be a little lower by 4Gamer at 128, 414 units in the first week of sales, coming 2nd behind Sword Online: Infinity Moment. This can only mean that the HD remaster is off to a great start in Japan!

It appears that the Beta invites for KINGDOM HEARTS χ[chi], accessible through Yahoo Games, have started to be emailed to various recipients. As the beta appears to begin on the 22nd of March, hopefully we will hear some more of the new features in the game soon!

Famitsu just updated their website with a huge interview with the KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX- sound team. If you recall, all of the music in the game has been rearranged and remastered with live instruments, supervised by series composer Yoko Shimomura, so this will surely be chock full of interesting information!

The next HD remaster, KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 2.5 ReMIX- has been mentioned in the interview as well.

Yes, you read that correctly! During the credits for KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX-, there are certain images shown from select titles, specifically KINGDOM HEARTS II, Birth by Sleep and coded. This seems to suggest that the next remaster, KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 2.5 ReMIX- will be comprised of these titles!
