A question abt Riku

Does anyone know why , in TWTNW , when AtW's machine exploded Riku converted from XH's heartless form back into his original form? =/

Xehanort's Heartless was purified from Riku's Body, letting him regain his original form, and preventing him from using Corridors of Darkness anymore.

He tried to open one to send them back home but couldn't, and that's why Namine had to pop up and do it for him. Mickey said as much - Riku no longer belonged in the Realm of Darkness. Not only was XH - a Darkness being - gone, Riku had accepted his Light, as appearent in the WtD's design and even namesake.
He had no reason to open a CoD anymore.

there are many other things in KHII that are mysterious and unexplained too. i mean, i still wonder what would have happened if one of the Nobodies caught a heart in their mouth

Wouldn't have worked. They actually showed this when AtW blew up KH and all the Hearts in it rained down. The Dusks tried snatching the Hearts, but the Hearts were simply reclaimed by the Darkness since the Dusks couldn't use them.
Has to be the Nobody's original Heart, and probably go through a purifying process via the Keyblade or something similar (Sora being purified by a PoH, for instance, let him fuse back with Roxas once they met)

dunno for sure... i read this article once that said it could have been a paranormal process that blah blah blah... in short it pretty much stated that the explosion blew ansem out of riku or something...

the explosion was so chaos based, it didn't just knock the crap out of him, it knocked the Xehanort out of him

He died. Which is why I think he had Riku stop Sora and them from running towards him before the machine blew up, because he didn't want them to get killed too.
