Stock is hard to see because of that giant light source, and the filter you placed over it-- I suggest removing it.
Other than that, it's pretty basic and dull. Looks like a red BG with your stock on it. The text is also a no-no.
Try looking up some tutorials to get you started, and also get a basic knowledge of depth, blending, colors, and so on.

Tutorials!!! grrr I have been told to see them for a hell lot! and you know what!!!... yeah I guess I need ehm ._. ...any recommendations on where to look?

Look around DeviantArt or in the Resources section. Also, if you use GIMP, that doesn't mean you can't learn off of Photoshop tuts.
One time I came across one of those and it felt really hard to understand Photoshop cause I'm a GIMP person, but then I really never read it much, thanks Disaster
