Perfectly fine with me, this is the character I think I'm going to try, it's nice because it's short and simple :D

Name: Vabryiel

Age: 37

Gender: Male

Appearance: A tall figure that bares the golden Judge's Armor.

Armaments:

Sword of Kings: A blade that has been passed through the generations of kings in Vabryiel's human line. He is not a king himself but possesses the sword. The blade itself is said to possess the souls of all the kings that have wielded it.

Royal Jewel
: Not a jewel as the name suggests, but actually a pocketwatch shape. It was found, it can contain anything, for now it holds all of Vabryiel's human memories.

Judge's Armor: Masterfully designed armor that makes up his entire form. It is just as difficult to destroy as it is to manipulate unless by the bearer.

History:
Human life spent as a prince preparing to become the king he was in line for. It was a sad existence to find that all he had to expect in life was ascending rank in society's class in a world that still accepted the ways of kings and queens. A sad existence that was cut short at age thirty-four with the harsh realities of war. It was not the end for him, some may see his death in war as a sign of weakness, but he was severely limited in a situation like that but human boundaries. There were others who saw greater of him and would soon make greater of him.

In death he was shown the failure of his human life. Prepared more for an afterlife of battle, ironic to be taken from a world a war and be returned to one of more turmoil. In order to keep his soul amongst the physical, a suit of armor that became known as The Judge's Armor was designed for him. Stable and strong, made of material as difficult to break as it is to manipulate, it's properties were able to survive habitation in chaos itself. It's other potency lay in it's ability to manipulate and hold energy and matter in the surroundings. The Judge's Armor, called so for his new purpose, and perhaps for the fact that these beings were the ones to judge how he would spend his new life, they made him into a puppet, forced to dance to their design.

Upon returning to the physical world, the still human part of him burned with angst and rebellion. He was already well taught in physical combat and swordplay but there was a bit more to learn were he to break the limitations set by higher beings. Breaking human limitations was an accomplishment by itslef but this would prove to be more. It was with golden ambition that he sought someone who could teach him a bit of magic, a thing he knew of for his world but had yet to bother with. Regular magic would hold little affect towards them so he only sought to learn a special part of that world. Only called reverse magic, it is special and difficult for an opponent no matter how godly to deal with, it is difficult to counter because even other reverse magic in incapable of countering it. He obtained his special tool at secrecy for a few years and used to strike the puppet masters all down in their own world residency. It was here he found the Royal Jewel, which contained nearly all of what he was as a human, he enjoyed what he had now to much, it was all that he yearned for as a human, things such as power and knowledge. He cast everything from the jewel aside from his human memories. He found that the Jewel itself was special, it could possess anything, no matter what level it found itslef on, proven with the possession of his memories. The jewel easily manipulated by a holder such as him of course.

Returning to what he had as a human, he found that his sister and king of a father were slain, as well as the kingdom he followed. A plot of the greater beings that attempted to control him beforehand, something that would fill him with emotion as a human, but held nothing but gratefulness. He saw this as a better opportunity for them to leave behind their human insecurities and weakness just as he did. The human part of him was left as a flame underneath this armor, a flame that once released could probably be more powerful than what he is now or ever was. His last known actions were to take the Sword of Kings, a blade that was left to any blood left in the line that was now dead, something he still considered himself part of, leaving him to believe the sword belong to him. The sword contained more than the souls of the kings, but that too of what the kings could slay in their generations, that was something special of the blade, it's ability to claim life energy. Despite his resentment towards the puppeteers that gave him all of this, he still follows a path similar to that of what they had envisioned, one of war and battle. It is because of this that his slaying of them seems pointless but more importantly a questioning of his moral standpoint and a concern for his mercy.

(If you're familiar with Final Fantasy XII that is what I pretty much mean by "Judge's Armor")
Let me know what character you're going to use or if you plan to go without template, whichever you choose, doesn't matter, but once you do I'll throw up a location and an opening post as well and we can get this started.

Apologies for the delay. It's still not finished yet, but I'd figure I would try and give this new character a little experience.

name
Pepper.

alias
Death-Foot Pepper.

age
17, or so she claims. Considering the nature of what she is, it’s very possible she has transferred bodies to swap out an ‘older shell.’

gender
Female.

class
Bokor.

abilities
  • Though identified as a bokor, Pepper is a master of magicks of varied nature. She takes her practice not just from voodoo, but from multiple mystic arts - these include rootwork and divination. However, where her real talent lies is in necromancy. Through years of practice, Pepper has come to learn the secrets of the dead from the loa, Baron Samedi, and is able to rip the souls from the bodies of her opponents and pin them to a fetish, turning them into yet another slave and increasing her magick power.
  • Pepper’s spells run the range from offensive to utility in nature. She weighs her options in battle - what she lacks in physical strength, she can make up for by imbuing a corpse or empty vessel with one of the souls she has imprisoned, rendering them her guard and soldier. In terms of a battle of magick, she works to run her enemy down; using macumba (black magick, hexes), she unleashes her ‘hungry spirits’ upon them, stealing their strength, taking their sight, countering to the best of her ability whatever attack has been unleashed upon her.
armaments
  • Grand Loa Fetish: Pepper’s primary weapon. A bracelet with 500 bad spirits pinned to it, which she can use to both curse her enemy as well as conjure a zombie horde. The greater the number of spirits within the fetish, the greater her spell-casting ability; thus, the more undead she summons, the weaker her spells become, and vice versa.
  • Goofer Dust: The powders that Pepper uses to augment her spells. It draws in spirits and sends them into a frenzy, doubling their power and their volatility.
  • Paper Dolls: Pepper’s secondary weapon. Though more folk magic hoodoo than real craft, with these Pepper, if she can establish a physical connection with her opponent (a sigil of hair, skin, blood, or clothing), she can afflict upon them any damage she does to the doll’s fabric.
  • Brother Mercy: The strongest spirit in Pepper’s arsenal. A hellhound of great malice, before he was reigned in by Pepper, he was known to demand a tribute of one child from a Louisiana village every year to eat and fuel his powers. With a southern drawl and a mouth full of soul-rending fangs, though she keeps him in reserve, he is the go-to-guy for all of Pepper's muscle work.
appearance
Elegance and catastrophe are hybridized in Pepper. Skin dark as mahogany, otherwise unblemished, is etched with thin scars. Her hair, impossibly blonde, curls upward in violent frizz, a stark contrast to a handsome face emboldened with fine features - a Grecian nose, strong cheekbones, a smooth jawline. Her eyes are a steel-blue grey, flecked with opalescent diamonds and rimmed with gold, but shocked with crimson veins throughout the whites. Pepper stands at 5’4”, slim as a rake and flat-chested, her build not sturdy, and her left foot, from the ankle down, is dead black - the tribute she paid to Baron Samedi in return for her power, and the place from which she gets her name of ‘Death’s Foot.’ The foot, despite being drained of all life, does not decay, as all bacteria that attempts to break down the flesh perishes upon contact. It is held in place by stitches of strong white thread (and a generous amount of staples, if needed.) Pepper’s wardrobe holds true to her overall appearance as well; ragged class. She wears a torn, silk sleeve-less top, scarlet in color and mended many times over. Below that, a frayed sable peasant skirt, wrapped with a huge burlap belt, from which hang pockets, bottles and vials containing assorted materials of dubious nature. Over her blouse Pepper dons a cream-colored button blazer, worn and caked with what is most likely grave dirt. She wears no shoes, to let those who have heard whispers of her that she is indeed, the one they fear - or the one they’ve enlisted. The only accessory she wears is this; a simple, white-beaded bracelet, so basic that it could be mistaken for a mere trinket or bauble of no value. However, it is, in reality, the bracelet that acts as the source of her power, and the cursed fetish to which she gathers spirits.
