^My thread has all the latest confirmed info on the battle system. And, i find it is explained rather well in it.
But yes, it is more like Re:CoM than KH2. Though, I think that's a good thing.

well i chose that because eveyrone is so hyped over identity issues with Xenohart and all that i just figure il focus more on a character that interest me. which is roxas and why ven and roxas share so many qualities.

No, Aqua isn't "just there", she's nowhere!
Gone, mysterious. Disappeared.
Thus why i find her interesting.

I find Terra interesting because he is cool. I also find MX and DS pretty interesting.
Ven, not so much. Somehow Ven was involved with the birth of Roxas.
"By connecting the story between Sora and Roxas, you will understand who Ven is".
It sounds kind of lame, and that he is going to cheat his way through. =[
