The Coated man in Coded is probably some form of Xehanort seeing as he's the main Antagonist of the series.

Seeing how Mickey and Riku had the coats, and neither were Organization members, him having a coat on helps us with nothing when it comes to narrowing down that person's identity :3

Yeah the coat is apparently easy to obtain seing as almost everyone has one the coated person in coded wears it to conceal their identity and probably open portals of darkness.

He's hardly dead. His Heartless was purged from Riku when Ansem blew up the KH, making for the Heartless - down.
Then Riku and Sora took care of his Nobody.
Going by Another Report, this would leave us with the recombined Somebody.

Why wouldn't he? As far as we're told, once both the Heartless and the Nobody are beat, the Somebody is created instantly.
Even if they had days between KH2 and Coded - which I find to not be the case - Xehanort isn't the type to sit idly by and waste his time.
He'd get back into the fold as soon as he can.

The problem with it being Xehanort, is that i dont see why he would be set on freeing "them" from torment.
Or why he would be concerned with Destiny Islands being damaged. Or anything like that =/

Well, we don't know how being put together again would've affected him.
And was it confirmed that the CU had to do with Jiminy's journal? It makes sense, but I don't recall anything about it being confirmed, in which case, he wouldn't have to be set on freeing "them" at all xD

They're the ones who are leaking the Data Bugs. So i would say Yes, they are connected.

I would say no until we get more data xD; whomever left the message could've known about the CU and left a warning.

I'll rephrase then - if he was connected to the message left in the journal. In which case, it doesn't not seem to be confirmed a connection was confirmed.

well, the message is tied to the true enemy, which has to do with the data bugs, so... seems to me like CU = true enemy.
