find threads that I have posted in? Say I post in one and leave for an hour how do I find it when I get back later?

If it's popular, it'll probably be on the first page in its forum. If not, you can always search for it via the Search option.

Or you could press your own name, then go to public profile, then go to "posts you've recently made", or whatever it says

Go to anyone's profile and then click on find all threads started by this user,you'll find all the threads made by the user or yourself if you've clicked on your profile.
