I am feeling a bit rusty, as I have not rped, or battle in at least a month, so whoever wants to face me. The rules will be normal challenge rules, this being a power battle. I hope this will help me get back into the tune of things.

The setting:
Several plateus, with the area between them a endless void, so if you fall, and cannot fly, or save yourself...well your dead.Though part of it has a deep rocky chasm, in the northern part of the area, and if you fall tehre, you will most likely be peirced by one of the many rocky spires on the bottem. There are many alien beings on the plateus, most of them able to fly, or controll demonic magic. And yes, it is like hellfire peninsula in WoW's outland. Enjoy.

Post a normal template with your post stating you wish to battle, I am going to use my newest character for this...
.

Rules
--------
-normal RP and battle rules.
-this is a power battle.
- Have fun...

I will partake in this, Zabazu.

Mortal Name: Johnathon Larose

True Name: Pride

Mortal Age: 23

True Age: Pride's soul is immortal, created before Pandora made her fatal mistake and opened her box.

Facial Appearance: Pride's pale face is often flagged by strands of his dirty blonde hair. A pair of blue-green eyes gaze out from beneath the golden locks, his mouth often turned up in a perpetual smile held lofty above a strong chin.

Body Type: Youthful and brash, Pride is the perfect picture of young arrogance. Roughly 5' 11" and with the build of a college football player, Pride has the appearance of a very intimidating young man. Often clad in a red fitted t-shirt and simple light blue jeans, Pride's choice of simple clothing is a surprising contrast to his overinflated ego. Around his neck, Pride wears a string of large, white beads connected by a light brown yarn. Just why he wears such a necklace is unknown, although it is most likely worn in order to, in his words, make himself "more excellent."

Weapon: Pride's weapons of choice are the only ones he deemed suitable to suit such an "amazing" individual as himself. Pride welds two weighted, orichalcon hammers as his weapons, using them augment his geokinetickinetic abilties as well as channel his own strength. The hammers are silver with leather-wrapped handles that allow Pride to have a better grip. At will, Pride is able to extend a chain from one hammer to another, thereby acheiving much better range and a new style of attack. Inside of the hammers is a measured amount of rock and soil, allowing Pride to control them mentally as well as manually.

Power(s): Pride holds the geokinetic ability to manipulate the element of Earth. This talent allows him to affect various representation of earth, some of which include various stone, gems, crystals, diamonds, mountains and other symbols of his element. Pride is, when inclined to do so, able to create localized earthquakes and, with enough power, able to create very large tremors and even fracture entire landmasses. In order to ensure he is never without a means of attack, Pride always holds various gems that he is capable of utilizing as weapons. It is commonplace for that when Pride and Greed meet, Greed will often try to "relieve" Pride of his gems.

Due to his increased connection to the Earth, Pride's physical strength is beyond that of even his fellow Vices. A swing of his hammers or his own fists can easily destroy a normal weapon. His connection to Earth also renders Pride irritatingly difficult to knock down and even moreso to keep down. He is able to draw on the Earth's lifeforce and heal himself to some degree. However, his usage of this ablity is limited. He is not able to heal fatal or near-fatal wounds.

As will all Vices and Virtues, Pride is annoyingly resistant to physical attacks and his soul is immune to the occult ministrations of man. Upon his death, Pride's soul immediately awaits reincarnation, a process which usually takes very little time at all. The process, being a will of the Gods themselves, is unable to be altered. In his many eons of existence, Pride has read countless books, tomes, scrolls and the like about magic from all over the world. Pride is capable of several great magic feats, including projecting small illusions and the retrieval of shadows.

Personality: Pride is, naturally, the exact representation of his own sin. He sees himself as miles ahead of everyone else, often under the incorrect notion that his ideas are the only true ideas. Lust had once jokingly metioned that Pride uses him hammers to "pound his ideas into the heads of others", a comment for which Lust was rewarded by being thrown through a wall. Pride absolutely loathes being challenged by anyone he deems lower than him, which is in effect, everyone. Pride's voice is laden with hypocritic smugness and a tone that always insinuates he is speaking to a small child.

Biography:Milennia ago, the gods created a woman. Her name was Pandora and she was both blessed and cursed with incredible curiosity. She was also given a box and told to never open it. Pandora was created to be the perfect wife for a Titan, who passed her onto his own brother.

However, the universe cannot exist without balance. When Pandora was created, it sought to find a way to counteract this supreme good witha supreme evil. Thus, Diasthos was born. She was created to be the exact opposite of Pandora, save the fact that he too was presented with a box. Hideous, untalented, and lonely, Diasthos was the polar opposite of Pandora.

As most people know, Pandora's box was filled with the Vices, evils that would later plague mankind. To counteract this as well, Diasthos' box contained the Virtues, spirits that would maintain the balance when both Pandora and Diasthos were gone. For years, the Vices and Virtues waged a covert war against each other, always managing to stay concealed from humanity behind a veil of secrecy. They've taken on human forms, and walked amongst mortals, silently fighting a war that has gone on for centuries.

This war was never meant to end, for each side will remain equal, as it is meant on the Grand Design. However, every rule has a loophole, and it has been found.

Should Pandora's and Diasthys' boxes ever be united, the side responsible will gain dominion over all existence, and the power to wipe out whatever they choose.

Was Pride scared of Lust's attempt to gain such powers? Of course not! No power was above Pride himself and Lust was merely an insect searching for food that deserved to be crushed. To Pride, the idea of Lust ever becoming as strong, let alonger stronger, than himself was a laughable matter, one Pride hardly took seriously.

At least, until he learned just how desperate Lust was. Lust no longer cared about hiding behind a veil of secrecy as a Vice. He openly used his powers in public, requiring Pride and the fellow Vices to perform cleanup duty by erasing and creating new memories through the use of old magic. Pride absolutely loathed being the cleanup crew for someone elses meses. How dare Lust force Pride to become a simple servant!

When the Virtues, namely Hope, offered a temporary cease-fire in order to deal with the Lust problem, Pride was surprisingly the virst Vice to agree. Perhaps the idea of being the personal maid of another allowed Pride to rationalize joining the Virtues. As the other Vices followed suit, albeit rather slowly in Sloth's case, Pride's ego became even more inflated. The arrogant Vice now saw himself as a trendsetter and once again held himself high because of it.

Pride's lofty position was soon lowered when Wrath ran off to find Lust on her own. Furious, Pride sent the virtue of Hope and the Vice of Sloth off to recover Wrath, a task Pride obviously saw as beneath him. When Hope was captured and Sloth returned with Wrath and news of Lust's dicsovery of Diasthys' box, Pride began formulating a plan to kill Lust's physical vessel, thereby delaying the Vice's quest.

At the foot of Mount Vesuvius, The Vices and Virtues planned to meet Lust in one final battle. They never would. As they prepared for their final battle against the sensuous Vice, Wrath descended daintily from the mountaintop. She loked downright exhausted and covered in burns. Yet, in her hand was Lust's EROS necklace, a sure sign that she had completed what no other Vice or Virtue had.

Although satisfied that she had killed Lust, Pride was irritated that he had not been the one to accomplish such a feat. As he cast his vicious, dirty looks upon Wrath, her forlorn emotions were lost upon him. In a sneering smile, Pride loudly announced that the Vices and Virtues were now at war again. Wrath threw Lust's necklace to the ground and left Vesuvius, Sloth and the other Vices following suit. They had work to do, having to contend with the massive breach of secrecy Lust had committed. They left Pride behind to deal with the Virtues alone, realizing that there was simply too much wrong at once to continue the war immediately.

Claiming boredom, Pride left the scene of a possible confrontation with the Virtues and stormed angrily across the Earth. They had left him! Those insignificant little wastes of flesh and bone had abandoned their "leader!" Pride was furious and, despite hating Lust for doing the same thing, began to use his powers regardless of location. He was determined to find those other Vices and have his revenge.

No one abandons Pride.

ooc: ok, now for my character.BN, if you will so kindly make the first post.

Also I wonder what the hell this 'plan' D2L is talking about...

Name: Theronos

Age: A rough estimation is around 1200 years of age. He looks younger than he did when he died. So around 30.

Gender: Male

Personality: He is a trustworthy ally; and is honor-bound to his word. Being a Celt; he is very supersticious about things. He is steadfast, and proud, and is wiser than one may assume. Though some may call him barbaric; he believes hsi customs to be very normal. Considering he IS a 1200 year old Celtic warrior. He rarely trusts someone when he first meets them.

Appearance:
Out of battle he wears modern-day clothes from America, and the such. But in battle he wears a Kevlar chest peice; with links of titanium chain mail underneath. With plate gloves, and steel scale leggings. For his head he wears a skull cap; composed of a hard wood, and iron.On the inside of the cap is a slim lining of mithril he had made, and augmented from iron. This is one of the only things he has kept ever since he was reborn, albeit he did enhance it, since the mithril. He has a finely made buckler that he obtained in the Medival Era, from a prince he helped. It has a horse on it; the symbol of that kingdom. He has a brown cape on his back, the inside lined with thin titanium scales, barely making a noise as he walks, though his other armor does. The Buckler, the Skull Cap, the scale leggings, and the Cape are the only things he has from his original time period.

Bio: Theronos was a lowly soilder; in a army gathered to conquer. He rose the ranks in the few years he served; and retired at the age of 45. He is of Celtic orgin. His family was killed in a jealous rage by a lord, who had hired a former comrade who had gladly betrayed him for meager pay. In fury Theronos tracked the man down; and tried to kill him. He was outnumbered though. He was killed by the mercenary group his old comrade belonged too. The gods took pity on him, and ressurected him; giving him immortality, and powers he couldn't of imagined before. He found he had great strength, and regeneration. He easily killed the man now; and all of his friends as well. He has his weaknesses though. Most of them personal, and others physical. He has lived to the age of science, and had seen many things, and many developments. Eventually he found there were other worlds of magic; while tampering with corridors of magic. He found great items, and trinkets on his journey, that he keeps in his study at home in Wisconsin. He lived in Erope for many centuries until around 1700, where he was accused of being a evil demon, after healing so quickly after a battle, from a gun wound to the chest, and living to tell about it. He quickly took his most prized possesions and left to America, where he invested in several companies , and earned a large sum of money in the process. He now has a home in northern Wisconsin, in the wilderness.

Powers:
- Magic (big or small, in all forms), But he does not know any types of mental magic, or dare delve into necromancery, or shamanic magic. He does have an affinity for holy magic though, and can create auras around him, helping his allies and afflicting his foes.
- Transformation ( he can morph into different beings; and retain some of thier abbilities, and style. restricted to some Animals, or Humaniods.)
- Rapid regeneration after battle, during it though, his wounds will stay open for a while, but still will close up after around 1 hour if the battle still lasts.
- Incredible strength.
- Imortallity to the extent of mortal wounds, and such. But if he misses a limb, it will be gone forever, and that goes for the head as well. So if his head gets chopped off, he is obvously dead.

Weapons
----------------
- A pure white blade; with a black hilt, and handguard. The brother blade of Agunmont; the blade of Will. Instead of elements surrounding the blade; it is contained within the blade. The blade taking on the hue, and color of the element within the blade. It gives damage related to the element. If fire is contained, burns will appear on the victims body. Or if its nature, poisen will spread through the victim. So on and so forth. The blade can also manipulate elements like Agunmont. It can release the energy of the element within it whenever the weilder wishes too.

- Twin Revolvers that he obtained from the gold rush. He augmented them to last, and keep in perfect shape. Each bullet he personaly enchanted himself, to be like Will's shotgun ammo, in which has different elements for each bullet.
- A long chain with a blade at it's end; enchanted to enlongate, and shrink at his command (the chain). The blade is covered in black mist of poisen, and darkness It is concealed under Theronos's Sheild, and can be slid out with ease.He uses it after his sheild is disposed, or he sees no use for it any longer.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are..."

Heavy footsteps rose with brown dust, floating through the air alongside the speaker's words. All three of them carried themselves lightly on the winds, serenly hovering across the barren earth.

"I won't hurt you much, maybe just a scar."

The speaker's voice grew louder, his hands moving up to brush his dirty blonde hair out of his pale blue eyes. A cheerful smile lay upon his lips, the poem's words passing across them. As the short poem came to an end, The man stopped his movements. His eyes narrowed and his voice became irritated.

"We haven't all day, I'm a very busy man. I've better things to do with my time than wait."

This man's name was Pride. He embodied the sin itself, one of the seven Vices released from Pandora's box so many years ago. His powers were vast, his knowledge spreading even further. He was powerful and he was strong. He was intelligent and he was determined.

He was also impatient. He had been made aware that a holy warrior several hundred years old was determined to rid the world of Pride's existence. Such was the case with holy men, always gallavanting about and ruining everyone's fun. One could only wonder why they didn't simply give in to Sloth and stay home, praising whatever nonexistent God they believed in.

However, Pride rarely missed a chance to exterminate one of them. One dead holy man was one less speed bump on the road to dominion. Thus, he waited for this man to show himself. He couldn't very well kill the man if he wasn't there, could he

ooc: I am not a person for opening posts either..

Dust flew through the air, sending a light haze onto the dry landscape. light footsteps could be seen on the ground, leading up to a sillohette in the distance. It could be seen barely in the wind with the dust and sand swirling through the air. Ruins of buildings could be seens protruding from the ground, as though some entity had worn them down slowly. Most of them were outlines of walls, a mere foot tall, others were previously towers, now which were smooth hollow rocks, barely 6 foot tall.

Theronos, the man making the footsteps walked through the ruins, and was covdered by his cloak, covering his eyes with a edge of it. He coughed when he breathed, and a thick layer of dust went into his lungs. Sweat beaded from his head as the harsh terrain around him took its toll. His short beard started to be covered in grim.

The dust and the wind suddenly died down, and Theronos turned at a noise. One drastically different than that of the harsh winds, and the inhabitants of this area. It was a voice. One calling out for him. A man could be seen in the distance. The one he had been sent to kill. He turned to the man, and suddenly cried out to him, regonizing him for who he truly was

" Pride, one of the seven Vices, I have been sent here, to kill you, for you have plagued Mankind for many years in this form. We end this now...."

He slowly slid out his white blade and pointed it at Pride.

" For crimes against all of those who have died against you vices, I shall bring you to your knees and slay you..."

Theronos concentraed on the blade, until a furious red glow emmited from it, the blade starting to emit a small bit of steam from the moisture in the air. Theronos started to clear his mind, slowly ridding himselves of all problems he had faced, and allowing him to concentrate on the matter on hand.

He then started to charge, his sheild infront of him, and his sword raised.

" Pride, one of the seven Vices, I have been sent here, to kill you, for you have plagued Mankind for many years in this form. We end this now...."

The meager words of an aging crusader reached Pride's ears, the confident Vice's eyes scanning the horizon for the source. They landed on the cloaked figure obscured by clouds of brown dust. He seemed to be having difficulty walking, his words broken with coughs. At the feeble sight of this man's appearance, it took a rather large piece of Pride's self control to contain his laughter. Surely this was little more than a joke.

" For crimes against all of those who have died against you vices, I shall bring you to your knees and slay you..."

Pride cocked his head to the side, his eyes playfully fixed upon the struggling crusader. Though he said nothing at the moment, his eyes conveyed more distaste and confidence than words ever could. Mixed with laughter, his voice rang out across the barren lands, carrying themselves through the dusty air.

"For every single person? We'll be at this all day."

The man withdrew a red blade, its crimson aura lighting the ground and air around it. Mist, hardly visible through the sandstorm, rose from the searing blade. In a polite and formal gesture, the man rose his blade, pointing it directly at Pride. Reminded of the overly-feminine fencing styles of the past, Pride could hardly contain his laughter. His voice was laden with sarcasm, his words broken by chuckling.

"Have at you, sir!"

Then man withdrew a shield from his cloak and, without words, charged. His boots thudded loudly against the sorched earth, the sound of armor jingling through the air.

"A shield? Oh, that's cute."

With little more than a snap of Pride's fingers, the earth itself followed his will. A fissure opened in the dead, brown land, pushing up a wall of earth. This nigh impassabe barrier situated itself between Pride and the charging holy man. Behind the wall, and safely out of the crusader's vision, Pride began to fall backwards.

No thud was made, no crash sounded out. Pride had fallen into the Earth itself, using his mental abilities to shift and control earth. The hole left behind quickly filled itself, the arrogant Vice moving deep beneath the ground.

Theronos nearly took all his willpower to stop the maddening charge onto the wall that had newly arose. He had barely done so, as part of his searing blade dug into the earth wall. He struggled to free it, and then went around the large wall, making sure to watch his footing. He was shocked to find out the man was gone, nore was he in the air... but Theronos quickly figured out the reason.

The man could control the earth around him... It had become apparent after the wall of earth had arisen after the man snapped, and now this unexplained dissaperence. No traces of arcane magic could be sensed by theronos either...He had not used a corrider of magic...So the earth was the best explanation.

Theronos then knew where the man had went, and how vulnerable he had become. He quickly sidestepped back to the other side of the wall, and then ran out into the open. He knew the obvious thing to do was to seperate himself from the ground, but this was a feat not easily done by a man like himself. Until he noticed the floating debri of rocks above the feild. Too far for a normal man to jump too, and to high to reach. It was almost TOO risky.

He then figured out another plan. He could use magic, a certain kind, and then channel it and enhance it through the power of his blade. It was indeed risky like the other, but he had to take the chance that it would work better. He quickly dug the blade into the ground and muttured some druidic encantations.

The red blade suddenly changed to green, and roots started to form around it. They then writhed in life, and shot down into the earth beneath him, spreading as far as they could, and digging deeper and deeper. A sure trap.

ooc: sorry for the poorly written post, Im writing this at school, and I do not have much time. Also the floating rocks are part of outland. ( I am just gonna call it that since it is pretty much the arena XD)

Also, this may be a second post since this computer is screwy, sorry if thats so...

As Pride moved rapidly underground, the vibrations of earth alerted him to each and every action the man made. Every move, every shift, and every vibration informed Pride of the crusader's moves. He had placed a long, narrow object in the ground, most likely his sword. The blade penetrated the earth slightly, it's tip buried beneath the soil.

A bad move.

However, the crusader's attempt at victory was not yet over. From his blade, various objects began to spread. Their size and shape, known to Pride through vibrations, labelled them as long and slender. Tentacles or roots, if Pride's guesses were correct. They could be taken care of with ease.

With a simple mental command, the Earth shifted once more. Around each root, the earth moved away, creating an opening around each plant. Then, with incredible force, the Earth clamped down once more. It crushed the roots to death, turning the once proud embodiments of Nature into little more than a stain upon the earth.

Pride had concocted a different plan for the blade. While it continued to summon roots, which were promptly smashed to bits, the Earth rose up once more. It collided with the blade, encircling and surrounding the weapon. Firm stones and strong boulders overcame the green blade, crushing any roots and trapping the weapon.

The earth spread to the handle of the weapon, intent on trapping the blade completely in the ground. As the earth constricted around the blade, holding it even tighter within its bowels, Pride rose from the ground. His eyes blazed with malevolent glee, his smile broadcasting confident triumph.

"A sword in the stone. Used, yet classic."

From his waist, Pride withdrew his hammers. The orichalcon reflected the light provided by whatever world they fought in. They were visibly heavy, yet Pride carried them as if they were nothing. Gems lined the handles and straps, their metal faces pristine.

"It was fun while it lasted, crusader."

Theronos stared in shock as rock formed around his sword, and encased it. He lookesd around, and noticed a form arising from the ground. It was Pride. He was smiling in a overconfident way, and Theronos only shook his head as Pride went on to say

"It was fun while it lasted, crusader."

Theronos then stared at pride and snorterd in disgust.

" It's not over until you or I lay dead on the ground Pride!"

He then pulled out his extra blade, the one attached to the chain. He put it in his sword hand.. He was obviously going to use this for a while until he could sucessfully recover his white blade. Theronos then started to twirl his chain blade around, creating a small whirl of metal.Theronos then released the spinning blade towards Pride, its spped making it a black blur. Its poisen aura leaving mist behind it. Theronos then started to muttured a spell in the meantime, one that could perhaps benifit him and turn the tides of battle for now.

A massive stalagtite shot up from the ground in front of Pride, intercepting the blow. The chained weapon embedded itself solidly within the stone. It would soon fall victim to the same fate as the crusader's sword. The tip of the stalagtite melted into sand, the amber grains of stone surrounding the blade. The black aura was smothered by earth and stone, soon trapped and encased within solid rock.

"You never learn, do you?"

Pride willed the stalagtite to withdraw into the ground, holding the stone-encased blade in the air through willpower. With the blade covered in earth, Pride could indirectly manipulate the weapon itself. The crusader's weapon would become his weapon.

With a smirk and a mocking bow, Pride sent the crusader's chained weapon back at its owner, the stone-encased tip whistling through the air. With a glance at the buried sword, Pride willed it further into the ground, until only the very pommel of the blade remained visible.

"You're done. "

ooc: sorry I have not posted in a while, I was playing WoW for the last 24hours...Im somewhat exhausted right now...... to..much...WoW o.o, sorry If the post sucks and is hard to understand.. Im tired.....

Theronos then willed the chain connected to the blade to shrink, making the length of the chain barely more than one inch. Theronos looked to the rock-encrusted blade, and muttered a arcane phrase, directing its magic towards the rock on the blade. A spell of disenegration seemingly covered the rock, glowing orange, and fading away one seconds after. The black aura returned, and he then sheathed it in it's compartment in the shield. Then theronos started to concentrate on the matter at hand.

He noticed his blade sinking into the ground. He would soon have to retrieve it, or face it being used against him as the chain blade was. Theronos started to chant, and formed hand signels with his free hand, mutturing arcane words. The magic was harnessed, and he raised his hand to Pride, releasing the bolt of arcane magic, which soon surrounded Pride, about 7 yards away, and lowered to the ground, creating a ring, then it started to expand upwards, the different elements of fire, wind, water, and light going above him, and forming a barrier. It then started to close in upon Prideat a rapid pace.

Theronos ran to his buried blade, and held onto its pommel, changing the element harnessed inside to water, and releasing it a second later, water gushing out of it, and turning the dusty ground around it to mud. Theronos quickly pulled the blade out, and once again put the disenegration spell upon the mud. He was not going to take any chances. He then turned to where he had put the elemental wall around Pride, and made his sword turn to the element of light.

Light shone briliantly from the blade, in a beautiful aura. Theronos raised his arm, and only thought the incantation. Light was sapped from his blade, and into Theronoss hand, it creating a ball of light at it's nexus, while the outside of the nexus was unstable, and did not have any shape whatsoever. The shapless light started to flow from his hand, and surrounded him.

"It is not done Pride...."

ooc: I was not aware of Light's status as en element. There are generally only four or five, none of which are Light.

Pride did nothing but smile as Theronos cast the first of many spells. As the rock disintegrated away, so did his control over the bladed weapon. His glittering eyes showed nothing but amusement at Theronos' efforts to stop Pride's actions. His sneer stretched, a muffled scoff escaping his lips. This crusader was nearly as stubborn as Pride himself. It was doubtless, however, that even being within the general vicinity of Pride would affect the crusader. Theronos would eventually feel the seductive tug of arrogance and fall prey to its siren's song.

A sudden flash averted Pride's eyes from Theronos, glancing at the ground beneath him. Hovering just above the solid earth was a glowing circle, a ring of endless light. The circle extended vertically, creating a cylindrical barrier around the Vice. The barrier began to constrict itself, presumably intent on cruching Pride. Amusing yes, but trite.

Pride quickly solved his tiresome predicament. He withdrew into the Earth, beneath the barrier. Though it hovered above the ground, Pride travelled beneath it. He soon returned back to the surface, situated safely behind the barrier. While the iridescent field closed in upon itself, Pride merely watched as Theronos attempted successfully to pry his sword free in a burst of water.

The barrier closed in upon itself, continuing shrinking until it eventually faded from existence. Pride's eyes travelled to the orb of light in Theronos' hand, giving it little more than a deprecating glance before returning to shine wryly upon the crusader. The gems covering the handles and straps of Pride's hammers lifted themselves from their placements, hovering in the air and encircling their master, a whirlwind of sapphire, diamond, and ruby, a tornado of lapis, emerald, and jade. Each stone split into fragments, the field of crystal shards continuing to circle the arrogant Vice.

"It's not done? What do you intend to do, give me a tan?"

ooc: But in many fantasy books, and such, light is considered as a element. Since I based this character off a asortment of books, and games, I am considering light as a element. Plus, In the greek mythology, Zeus, the god who wields lightning. Or Thor, god of thunder in celtic religion. But light and darkness are considered mroe of 'forces' but I consider each as a element.

Theronos only smirked at Prides comment, and sheathed his sword, it's purpose for the time being done. He put his sheild onto his back, and flung his cloak to the side, revealing his Twin revolvers. He quickly slung them out, and fired the two shots, one from each. each bullet shone with a ferocity, flames licking around them. They looked like a small blur, each going for Pride, regardless of the jewels now surrounding him.

Theronos then aimed one to Prides head, and one to his stomach, and shot both simultaniously. The one bullet meant for his head was surrounded by a ring of elecrtricity, and small sparks could be seen coming from the bullet, leaving a trail of small sparks on the ground behind it. The other bullet was covered in a thin layer of vines, and was leaving a trail of leaves behind it. He then quickly shoved the guns into their holsters, and spit to the ground beside him.

Without hesitation, Theronos quickly drew his blade, and charged, forgetting to fling out his shield at the time. Summoning magical energy, his fingertips glowed, and he then while running, flicked hist wrist, and kept his fingers stiff, pointing them to the ground. A small crated formed, and Uplifted Theronos, bringing him 15 feet in the air. He then quickly slung out his sheild, not strapping it on, and only able to keep it on him by the leather sling, and the handle, then poised it infront of him, his blade pointed at Pride in a stabbing position as he fell towards the Vice.

Pride cocked an eyebrow at Theronos' guns, a slight scoff escaping his lips. Machinery was the pitiful attempt by humanity to attain power, their sad and vain efforts to become like their creator. In doing so, they laid a bigger trap for themselves than even the Vices. While the Sins tempted, machinery detroyed.

Pride's beloved element would soon take care of the bullets. An arch of rock and stone courled up from the ground, absorbing the first two bullets within its bowels, another arch doing the same for the final two. They ingested the bullets, the arches lifting off of the brown earth. Around each halted projectile, the earth formed a circle, crushing and increasing pressure until each bullet was nothing more than dust.

One minor irritation accounted for, one to go.

Pride's eyes jerked up to see Theronos bearing down upon him, shield and sword extended. With a sigh, Pride gathered a layer of earth quickly around his feet and willied it to move. The earth quickly shifted Pride far to the left, well out of Theronos' range. As the crusader continued his downward trajectory, Pride smiled and simply pointed a finger at the spot Theronos would inevitably land.

Half of Pride's bejeweled tornado ceased circling the Vice's body, pointing at and traveling to the spot Theronos would land. They sped towards the falling crusader, intent on ripping him to shreds. Most flew towards his unguarded flank, while others circled around him. Crystal rain soared through the air, hellbent on ripping flesh from bone.

Theronos could not stop his fall, and knew the jewels would be the end of him. He kept falling to the ground, and the jewels started to rip his cloak up. That was until the light that had been around him started to encircle him, soon forming a bubble around him. The jewels were pushed away, and only encircled the bubble. He fell to the ground and got up, walking towards Pirde. He was invunerable for now. He sheathed his blade, and put away his shield. He would not need it now. The chain blade though was held in his left hand.

He then started to walk faster at Pride, The bubble starting to shrink down to his body, forming a layer between himsef and whatever else seeked to hurt him. The blade what was also encased, lost the light barrier, and once again became sharp. He started to whirl it in the air again, This time doing something different. Instead of releasing it at Pride, he threw it at the air, aiming for the area above Pride about 10 feet above. He then stopped walking as he threw.

Mutturing a phrase the chain stopped, and became stiff. The blade was seemingly stuck into nothing. Theronos chanted, a large string of phrases, and words, each having their own signifigance. Theronos then shortly sliced downwards with the chain and blade, and a rift appeared above Pride. It glowed with a violent purple, and it was about 6 yards wide. It was a magical rift . Ice shards started to rain down upon where pride was, and bolts of lightning shook from it. The rift seemingly was connected to the essence of the two elements. Ice covered the ground, making it slick, and lightning created small craters with its pure force. A elemental maelstrom was being formed.

The chain started to shrink, and it still stood stiff. Until the chain was the length of his body. A polearm of sorts was now held in Theronos's hand. He then gripped it with his other hand. The aura shimmered around him, and thinned. It was going to run out soon....

OOC: by the way BN, do you play WoW? It sounded like it in chat....also tell me if this was confusing, I am trying to make clearer posts...

The deadly gems ceased their barrage, hovering quietly and patiently around Theronos as the magical shield formed. They shimmered and glimmered in the air, their deadly beauty encircling the crusader. Pride's eyes followed the chained blade as it struck the air above him, evidently stuck deep within the air itself.

Theronos' extended chanting did little more than wear on Pride's nerves. He crossed his arms, eyebrows raised, as the crusader continued his lengthy conjuration. An irritated sigh passed Pride's closed lips, his head cocking to one side. It was out of sheer morbid curiosity that Pride allowed this monotonous chanting to continue.

The consequences were rather interesting, however. A brillirant purple glow washed over Pride, the Vice's head turning up to stare at a rift that had been carved in empty space. At the first notion of possible danger, Pride created a defense. Around him rose a dome of earth, shielding him from both Theronos' view and the maelstrom's fury. Though ice and lightning struck away at his creation, Pride immediately repaired any damages, filling each hole as it was created and mending each crack.

Form within the dome, Pride willed the earth to move. A massive spire shot forth from the ground, the very tip impaling itself within a link in Theronos' chain. With great speed and even greater force, the tip widened, effectively snapping the chain, breaking the long-ranged weapon. Both ends of the chain fell limp, the bladed end suspended in air. The earthen spire quickly consumed the bladed weapon, pulling it out of the rift and consuming it within its stony bowels. Its purpose completed, the spire and blade sunk into the ground, neither of them to be seen again.

"That's enough of that nonsense."

He felt confident that the maelstrom would soon end. It would require far too much of Theronos' energy to keep it open indefinitely. Besides, only a fool would let such a thing run rampant.

Beneath his dome, Pride sunk into the earth once more, protected from sight and harm. Theronos' shield had most likely faded by now and Pride willed his gems to continue their assault. Yet, his actions were not yet done. Pride willed the ground beneath the crusader to open. It obediently followed his orders, rapidly opening wide beneath Theronos. The fissure walls spreaded themselves far from the crusader, the earth's black maw held open.

ooc: I've played Warcraft once. I created a Blood Eld mage and got to about level 6 before I had to go. I have not played it since.

ooc: Yeah the blood elves are cool.. I have a draenei shaman....but BN, I retracted the chain, notice that I had the chain shrink...sorry to say, but I ...dont know how you broke it o.o;, sorry If I misunderstood your post.... or likewise...

Theronos's sheild was barely holding up, and he noticed a shudder beneath him. The ground opened up beneath him, and He started to fall. That was until He quickly started to whip the chain blade ( I'm not sure if you would consider it broken still since I did retract it...whaever your call.) The chains losening from their stiff position that previously had formed the polearm. he then threw it at a hovering landmasss, and flung himself up. He rose quickly, and was soon above ground level. The jewels were still covering him, and trying to get through the barrier. It seemed to thin against the numerous jewels.

He quickly brought himself to the top of the landmass, and loosened his chains grip upon the landmass, and released it. He pointed his palm at the maelstrom he had released, and to started to suck into it, the magic forming a orb of magic in his hand, he swiftly shoved it into his white blade that was currently in it's sheath. Theronos then deftly wrapped the chain around his forearm, and then he swiftly pulled out his sword that was now imbued with the magic he had used part of earlier, and slicced the air infront of him, mutturing only one word. This was a much simpler spell. One to allow him to travel in the corridors of magic. He then willed the very thin shield covering him to expand, and push the jewels away. One formed a crack with the pressure and broke through, stabbing him in the arm. Theronos ingnored it for now, knowing his plan at the time was more important than a wound. The barrier sooned turned into a bubble, and then exploded, sending the other jewels farther. He ripped out the bloody jewel in pain as quickly as he could, and threw it to the ground.

He ran in the new rift, and it quickly closed behind him, leaving the jewels and Pride behind for the time being. As he walked thrugh the rift, an idea occured to him. What if he could watch his opponent, for a but, and then strike? It would be perfect, since he would most likely not know what hit him.

Theronos waved his hand before his face, a panel of clear ice appearing, and a image on it showing Pride underground, seemingly smug at the victory he had assumed would have happened with that move. But now Theronos had the upper hand. He waved his hand again, and dismissed it.

He quickly took a swig of water from a skin he had, and started to open the rift once again, this time it opening into the air. He waved his hand to the air, before he walked out and a thick layer of floating ice apeared. It continued to thicken, and expand, creating a small barge of sorts, completly under his control. Then he walked out. Onto the ice platform, and into the battle.
