It can't be a flashback, since you see Sora, Goofy and Donald fighting with Hyenas in the Elephant graveyard, and in the Lion King storyline, this only happens when Simba is a cub.

Yeah, but KH2 is not a movie, its a game, and usually in games you can go back and forth through different areas, while the enemies appear each time you enter one. So, until we see cub Simba beside of cub Sora, we cant know for sure. What we do know, is that they meet when Simba is an adult

Because, in KH, you summon simba as a lion, I don't see what reasoning they would come up with for him to go lion-cub-lion, perhaps Pride Rock is based off The Lion King 2?

no that cub is young simba on mufasa's back.And it is based on the first Lion King.Almost all the disney worlds in there are going to be based on their fist movies

The time difference is likely to be due to simba recalling his past - childhood - in the form of flashbacks

(Another alternate which is extremely doubtful and will never happen is that since one of the XIII Order members is present in the Pride Lands, if it is Luxord could he use his time/space element to go back in time (if that is what his attribute is or if it has not been confirmed)??????????????????)

No, what makes most sense is that we will be going to this world more than once, as stated we would be doing with some world, by Nomura

It's simple, we go to this world towards the begining/middle of the game, progress throuigh half of the lion king story, up until Mufasa gets killed, and Simba runs away

At this point, Sora and co will leave, either out of greif for Mufasa, or because they know they can't do anything else, since Simba ran away\

Then, later in the game, for some reason we will be required to return to that world, in which Simba will be grown up, and Sora and co will meet Timone and Pumba, then kill Scar and such

If that was to happen, how come in KH you could summon Simba in his adult form?
