I have a question though, where can you get a mountain chocobo is FF VII?

Breed a Great Chocobo and a Good Chocobo (both rank A) using a Carob Nut.
You can get Good Chocobos near Gold Saucer and Great Chocobos near Mideel.
Billy will tell you how good they are when you are picking which ones to move from the enclosuse outside into a stable.

Also, anyone who's played FFX will know chocobos sometimes need defending from big feinds.
